As for saying this man is going to murder her one day they have been friends for years now, people can change it just takes hard work & support. You obviously have a lot of hate in your heart which I hope one day you can let go of, I know this world can feel too much sometimes but you just need to find the positive things in your life. With the mentality of the comments above mine, we might as well just hope for a freaking meteor to wipeout mankind, right? I mean, screw it all huh?
That’s such a disgusting mentality and very ignorant. Hatred and anger are secondary emotions; there’s always something bigger at the root and if that can be changed, it changes everything in a person. What’s the point of the protests and the energy we are putting into seeking equality and justice, if so many people believe that people can’t change?? I refuse to believe that.

Sometimes we have to be a bit more understanding and show love to every one , if you show love you will get love and sometimes these people are so tender inside but try to act tough but all they need is a little love and compassion. I love this guy and I wouldn’t hate him because that’s God’s intervention and that’s how we are supposed to love one another. I’m glad to know he changed and others can follow in your footsteps we all have to love and respect each other and don’t judge a book by its cover. Great story!

It’s very real . Racism is tool that people use too keep others down. People have been doing this forever. All over the WORLD!! It’s not always the same term klan or tribe.. people in Africa east west north and south . The Irish and England . Now if this country would focus more and uniting people instead of dividing them. Women against men , black and white against each other Republican against democrats and conservatives against liberals you name it.. division is wicked and sick. But the twisted media and entertainment world is profiting from division so you will not see them encourage this nor promote this story. It has to fit the RACIST narrative of dividing.

Honestly stories like yours were not that rare before. I've seen many unlikely friendships happen just because someone decided not to perpetuate the hate. But it is rare now-a-days, everyone is so polarized, it's not even something like race anymore, just having different opinions is already enough to get people to hate each other now, it's really sad. If more people today are like you and your brother from another mother, then the world would be a much better place...

@I Said What I Said I hear your pain, I truly do. As a poc myself, it hurts me to live every day with the systemic injustices that are flung at me and my loved ones. I also have heard my own hate come out during times of anger, and it has scared me to see that same hate in myself, when I know full well the impact that anger and hate can do to humans. So I choose every day to keep doors of empathy open. I choose to empathize with others who are on their own journey into awareness and healing. If I slam doors in the face of others who have made mistakes, even the horrific mistakes this man made in his past, then I can close the door on change ever coming for us. Because its these same folks who have messed up and then wanted to come back around that can help build a world where you and I are treated with justice, equality, love, respect, decency. But if I choose to shut those doors, to hate back, then I can kiss a better system good bye. And I'm just not ready for that. I feel for your anger and pain. I really, truly do. So keep on the journey you need to be on. I respect it. I will continue on mine. Peace and love and best to you.

But they push this narrative that black people should take the moral high road and white plp love to pick and choose MLK’s quotes even though he was killed by these same plp. It's a nice phrase, but King never said anything that wasn't written by Stanley Levison or Jack O' Dell (unless he was quoting scripture), who were both Communist Party USA members, so nothing he said in a speech was ever really "his words". Even King's doctoral thesis at Boston University was heavily plagiarized. King was a fraud, and when the FBI surveillance tapes get unsealed in a few years (a judge sealed them for 60 years), they will apparently have him on tape beating and slapping prostitutes in his motel rooms (of course, Hoover's FBI was hardly the most reliable of folks) and I would hope the folks today so against abusers of women will hold him accountable. There were a lot of great Black men that were hero's and great American's, but King wasn't one of them, and it's a shame that he's been propped up as some sort of mythological icon, when in reality, he was an opportunist that even as a supposed Reverend couldn't even keep the most important promise, which is to his wife, who he cheated on over and over.

Edit: I got a reply here from a user that has made me rethink this comment I made (see below). I hadn’t sufficiently considered that anyone reading this didn’t have the context of where I was coming from with saying I was grateful to Michael K, and I certainly don’t want to be part of a rhetoric that lets white people celebrate themselves for doing the absolute basic minimum (not hating/killing other people). So I want to make it very clear now: No matter what your life circumstances are, turning to the delusional cult of so-called “white supremacy” (or any other terrorist group) is a series of choices you yourself make. Your actions are your responsibility, and if you’re taking your personal pain out on innocent others, causing them hurt, inflicting mental and physical violence, and possibly even ending lives, that is on you. My comment was in no way intended to absolve Michael K from any of this. He should at the very least have to hold himself accountable and live with the guilt over the things he’s done, and from this video here, at least to me it looked as if he will. That’s why I chose to express said “gratitude”. No, doing the absolute basic minimum by stopping to bash other people’s heads in doesn’t deserve anyone’s admiration or applause. But when I look at Tiffany, I see someone who put her own life in danger to do her job well, and who is now appearing publicly in association with this man and letting him call her his friend, and I have to assume she does that because of the influence his/their story can have on others. The more white people who are susceptible and weak enough to choose a life (or let themselves be pressured into it) as a hate group member see this, the more aware they can be that there are other options, and that even if they’re deep in it, there are still ways out. It’s this kind of awareness that needs to be spread, because any one person leaving white “supremacy” behind means that their threat to innocent lives is weakened. And if Michael K can be a vehicle for that weakening, that’s what I’m grateful for.
    ---
    Original comment:
I’m grateful to Michael K for talking so honestly about his past. It’s important and the only way we can get more people out of these brainwashing hate cults. How lucky was he to have Tiffany come into his life, what an incredible person she is.

This story is extremely powerful and impactful. I felt like I was right there in the room when they first met in the way they described everything. I could definitely see this story as a movie. Viola Davis as Tiffany not sure who could take on Michael's role.

Bravo Kelly for sharing this inspiring interview. The more we understand we're able to remember why we must bring the light to the darkness and love our enemies, treat everyone with kindness, we never know what is going on with others, kindness can make all the difference in the world!. Love wins! This is the most powerful thing I've seen on TV in a long time. Thank you Kelly for your courage this is empowering and gives us hope!

I'm so happy he turned his life around and that God put this lady on his path to guide him. She's very courageous. I'm sure he felt good getting rid of all the negative energy in his life, like cutting out a cancer. Why make life harder for anyone? We all want to be happy, right?

I love this story so much. ❤❤❤
My dad was raised to be prejudice. I came along and that wasn’t ok for me. Even at a very young age, I knew it was wrong. I fought with my dad tooth and nail. When he died, he told me I was right, about the hunting and the prejudice.

When we stop the ignorance, we stop the hate and when your filled with love for others its a receipe for power and that's what racist people don't like. Sit and have conversations with eachother and you may have more in common then you think.
This is a great story with such a victory it needs to be a movie. He was just a falling sole that was picked up by an angel . His heart is whole and I am truly happy for him. May they be an inspiration to others.

Not many commenters here are acknowledging what started him on the path to hate.... he said he was relentlessly bullied and beaten by the black kids in his neighborhood just for being white. Everyone seems to be glossing over that. It obviously formed his ideas at a very impressionable age. I mean, it’s great that he was able to turn his life around, but let’s not be naive about how all this started for him. And I’m sure his story is common among other white supremacists. Those early formative experiences are extremely powerful.

Beautiful story of the love Martin Luther King Jr talked about breaking down hate. Many don’t know but he was talking of Father God’s love, not something we muster on our own. He was a minister and believed in us being channels for the power of God’s holy love.

Many may ask how many Michaels are out there? But how many violent hateful people are out there damaging a childs life ? What happened to him in his community was so very unfortunate, but God turned it all around. The probational officer was used as a beacon of light and now both of them are blessing others.
