Multi Sizes Round Wood Maker / Dowel Maker

Hello friends, in this video i'll be making a multi sizes round wood / dowel maker for table saw. This is very easy to make and very useful jig. With this jig, it is very easy to make dowels and round woods in the sizes you want.

Looks nice. I made one myself, but didn't work at all 😞... Nevertheless, I was off the street for a day and enjoyed making it, good practice. Happy that I used scrap wood only.

Me too I just finished yesterday and some work and other break. I'm going to try today to change the jig . Maybe the blade is no in the center. I use acrilic for the top .

An interesting tool. Dowels here in the U.S.A. are cheap enough, that I doubt I would use it for making dowels. A larger device of the same design might be useful for roughing out table legs.

I think you’re right, David. Even here in costly Western Australia, dowels are not a bad price. But trying to buy dowels of consistently the same diameter can be a real challenge. That’s where this jig might provide an advantage, I guess.

With this tool you can make dowels/rods of any diameter, any length, any kind of wood and always when you need it. No need to wait for delivery or find dowels in classic shops. Dowels might be cheap when you buy them, but also count the costs for petrol and/or postage.

This jig has been made and used for several different sizes but has failed to produce. There must be a process not shown in feeding the stock and blade placement that I am not understanding. Please consider providing tips on use as this is much needed!
