- Hello friends, In this video I'm going to make a cross-cut sled very different from what you've seen so far. With this design, your table saw will turn into an inverted miter saw. You can find the measurements at the end of the video. Hope you like it.

That is one of the nicest crosscut sleds I've seen. Thank you for leaving all of the measurements at the end of the video, it's unfortunate more craftsmen don't do the same. I've been looking for a crosscut sled design and, thanks to you, now I've found one ;-)

I'll - I will probably build this - put on the angle marker after! calibration and add a dust chamfer at the lower edge of the fence.

Clever idea. Kind of like a reverse miter saw base where the center part moves to set angles and the base is stationary. This moves the outside piece and the center is stationary. I've been thinking of making something like this. I may try it.

Can I suggest you make the base and the swivel from 5mm (or maybe even 3mm) aluminium composite panel to reduce the loss of cutting depth?

A very good idea and very well made. A very useful shop tool.
Great idea. I'd recommend that the table saw blade be fully embedded in wood near the protractor, that way it reduces the likelyhood of nicking a finger. You could make the adjustable fence thicker all the way back to the printed angle paper to ensure the blade is always covered.

Parabéns pelo projeto muito eficiente
Делал очень похожую штуку, но низ из фасадного композита трёхслойного, получается примерно то же, только меньше толщина, плюс он был цветной и я повернул его чуть меньше, чем на полградуса - в пиле использовался диск с напайками сильно шире толщины полотна, и одна сторона по резу получалась очень ровной и чистой (с этой стороны я присобачил панельку зелёного цвета), а со второй - ну, хламина, здесь панелька была фиолетовой (что поделать, красной не было))))) А вот верх таки получше, чем у меня, да и штифт, который ограничивает ход каретки - зачётная вещь, я просто даже не подумал сверлить сам стол, хотя куску метала пофигу)))) Так что в конце концов первая каретка пала смертью храбрых в неравной борьбе с тупящей подсобой))) Вторую буду делать уже с учётом опыта первой и увиденного здесь, благо, кусок прямой толстой дюральки недавно на барахолке выцепил.
А вещь шикарная, да и попроще собирается, чем моя, клей всё-таки не полсотни винтов под зенковку))) Да и фанера есть под рукой всегда. А ещё видел в процессе кучу других приспособ из фанеры, так что, пожалуй, подпишусь, думаю, не последняя инея, что можно отсюда честно скомуниздить)))

O projeto é muito bom e tem uma boa precisão, ao meu ver faltou uma proteção por trás do gabarito, a fim de evitar acidente com a lâmina da serra que se projeta muito próximo à mão. Itanhaém litoral sul SP 🇧🇷

wow! I seriously though for a moment, it's going to be a jig to cut concave edges by passing stock at an angle to the blade! 😅 I'm so surprised it turned out to be much more practical than that! Congrats!
