People don’t realize this is the absolute best clip on teaching the rotational swing. Good job.

I wish I came across this a lot sooner. This Cadence is absolute perfect for my 7 year old to remember.

Thank you... Coming from a father who knows basketball, football and can help develop my youths skill in those sports, baseball I know nothing about. So I very much appreciate the help and the easiness of the drill

Thank you for this. Coaching little ones right now and having a easy to understand drill is crucial

I prefer to teach Load, tornado, and the toe will take care of itself.
The load and the Launch (tornado) are the most important.

You prefer to have lagging hands and pre fired hips? We have ourselves a triple crown winner

@@haydensanders3863 That’s a pretty rude comment for a discussion about youth baseball.

A kid that age doesn’t need “tornado”
Just tell him to step and swing. When you step you inevitably load the back foot

I like this. We’re struggling to execute the hip rotation we have down when practicing.

@@_joeMelfipracticing it with real pitches if you're not already should help with that.

Another important point is keeping your head in, he does it but does not explain it. Eyes and head stay on area of contact through the swing.

Great job bud! Just one tip don’t choke up on that bat so much but other than that good job!

That was almost perfect for the kids swing, but you need to tell him that as his body rotates, his front foot should be turning as well. If you try to hold it pointed too much at the plate, it limits how much you can twist and it also puts a lot of pressure on your knee. If you watch the young man, his foot plants and doesn’t rotate with his body.

Only issue with that is you are teaching your kids to swing those hips open, resulting in pop-ups//ground balls. You should be teaching them to drive that back elbow into their side and punch through the ball

Great video. Do you have any videos about swinging through the ball. My 6 year old is a great hitter but he says the ball stops his bat when he makes contact and he has a hard time swinging through the ball.
