- 05/12/2023 - Sinking Creek/New Virginia Climb out #DBBB, Spring 2023 - Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway day2
Today we are doing a Medium ride about 4-5-6 level out of 10 ride. This video is a little longer as it shows all of Sinking Creek and the parts of New Virginia I had not covered before. We have to start out on Cave Fork off Hwy 11S which is a 2 maybe 3 level ride just to get to Sinking Creek. Sinking Creek is part of the Back Country Byway, however it is not on the map as of this posting. I put this together with Cave Fork/Sinking Creek and New Virginia as that is how you get into the trails and back to main roads. I am on 33’s as is most everyone else, but we did have a couple of stock vehicles as well with a couple including the trial leader on 35s..

My buddy and i did this last weekend in my xterra, the creek was almost bone dry other that the water coming out of the rocks, the obstacles were still wet tho
It has been very dry around the DBBB. Mud always seems to stick around the obstacles somehow.
Were you out today on cave fork rd with 3 other jeeps? Thought I saw your jeep passing by my tacoma
Sorry for the late reply, our power was out most yesterday evening and night. I was not with any group Sunday. However I was on Cave Fork late in the day, after 3pm.
@naturesglorycabin3792 gotcha. I went first of June and took another run, and fixer leeco has gotten rougher with more mud holes of the recent storms.
I did Fixer-Leeco > Cave Fork on 7/3 seemed pretty much the same for the last coupe of months. Not counting what may have happened with last night's storms
