- Part 1. We are Joining our club, the Ohio River Four Wheelers on this ride back in the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway again today doing another very easy ride for most any stock four wheel drive. We are starting at the Slade Rest area just off of the Mountain parkway exit 33 then onto Hwy 11S to Kentucky 1036 and onto Fixer-LeeCo/Lairson then part of Bald Rock, veering right onto New Virginia Ridge rd. coming out on HWY 52 and stopping for lunch at a small park that seasonally has open restrooms, a pavilion with Picnic tables and some outdoor play equipment for children.

The rain makes for a fun(but muddy) drive. Obviously showing some bias-that 4runner looked great! As always, thanks for giving background info on the trails, and how they change over time.
