Just a PSA from an experienced reloader, the KB that was experienced involving these SLAP rounds was almost guaranteed not to have been caused by the projectile, if anything it would likely have been caused by an incorrect charge or bad powder. The most forceful KBs one can experience are caused by what's known as detonation, usually due to an initial failure to fully ignite powder then once the protective coating has been burned away it re-ignites detonating rather than burning. Often an undercharge can achieve pressures far above what even an overcharge can produce when these specific conditions are met.
Another condition that can cause this is actually a bullet that's too light can cause a secondary pressure spike of up to 200% AFTER the bullet leaves the barrel, causing a detonation mentioned above as the powder experiences a secondary burn.
