Great to see you doing well, Jirard. One point many overlook about that final fight, is the goal wasn't a fistfight with Bats. Joker wanted Batman to lose himself in Titan. To become a monster. Beating the tar out of him was a backup plan.
Hey, glad to hear you're alright, Jirard! Here's to a quick and pleasant recovery. Also, that was a great video. Love the Arkham games, you should cover more in the future. ;)
Man I'm really proud of Jirard. I can honestly say that I'm getting used to the single man format and i give Jirard all the props there. Good on you man, keep on keeping on. :)
Batman Begins on PS2 and Xbox as actually pretty good. I've beaten that game like 9 times. And I never made the Arkham Games = Jim Lee Art connection, but now that you mention it... P.S. And Unity isn't that bad. It's actually my 2nd favourite AC game behind AC: II
Farmeryeti The Jim Lee art connection is primarily due to the fact that his art style is very realistic, though the one major difference in the Arkham visual style is that the colors are a lot darker.
The first time I was exposed go this game I watched my dad play it and it really contributed to Batman pretty much being my favorite hero (it also kind of terrified me 😂)
You and me both friend. Now I feel like They should lean into the horrific scenes and such, the jumpscares and horror type film techniques in these games.
First time I played this was on a PS3 owned by an old lady who's computer my dad was fixing. Apparently her son had moved to college and left the PS3 and games there. She asked me if I wanted to have the game as her son said he didn't even want the stuff anymore and she'd planned on selling the PS3. My dad's PS3 saw a lot of hours on this game back then thanks to that old lady. I have it on Steam now and despite having the entire Arkham collection, I still love playing this amazing classic
The Scarecrow bits address the fears of Batman (failing to save Commissioner Gordon), Bruce Wayne (losing his parents) and the player (the game crashing). It's pretty clever.
Xiu Greyson I think Greg added a lot to the show, too. He didn't always hit the mark, but there's something to be said for trying. The show, now, doesn't even seem to be trying to be funny. Occasionally Jirard will stammer out some stuff, and I guess that's trying of it, but it's mostly just "whatever". It's certainly not funny, but it's unobtrusive.
I don't know it might be just another night of batman's life showing how badass he, especially seeing how even after breaking his arm he will still go after two face.
Did you know: Dr. Young is voiced by the same actor as Foxy Love (Drawn Together), Penny (Inspector Gadget), and Magma (X-men Legends). Cree Summer has voiced a million characters!
I need help from long-time fans: Which games (if any) have gotten the "Complete it" score by Jirard up till now? Haven't found one yet. I thought, this game would get one for sure... Btw, great video as always, Jirard!
Short games really. He gave the first game he reviewed, Mega Man X, a complete it rating. A lot of the older games he plays get a Complete It rating, but I think that's mostly because there's no completion bonus, so it's not saying much. Games in the post 2000 era he gave a complete it to of the top of my head are Borderlands, Kingdom Hearts and Portal 2
Most games aren't really worth "completing". Once developers get to the point of designing content for people who play through games multiple times to find everything, they're just throwing out table scraps of stuff. They're not really designing a game to be played that way.
You said there were no good Batman games before this one, and yet, you had a remix of one of the songs of the NES Batman game playing at the end of your video, which was an awesome game!
The Riddler: "What has holes and travels down an alley?"

Hard to believe this started out as a Batman-themed rhythm game. Glad to see they kept a sense of the rhythm in the combat.
Who else is here after the news?
I had almost had a heart attack when Bruce’s parents bodies started talking
Same, lol! I was originally 10 or 11 years old when I played this game and it freaked the crap out of me, lmao!
please do Arkham Origins after City
oh, and good luck on the recovery
Man I'm really proud of Jirard. I can honestly say that I'm getting used to the single man format and i give Jirard all the props there. Good on you man, keep on keeping on. :)
I'm sorry, but seeing Jirard without a beard in the intro looks strange
Wish you all the best in recovery and respect for making an episode. Love your shows. Keep up the good work.
***** Yeah, it is very similar now that I'm thinking about it.
Farmeryeti Though I guess it is even more similar to Alex Ross' art, which is famous for being hyper-realistic.
***** I feel like there's a lot of different inspirations when it comes to the artistic style.
To me, Arkham Asylum Batman looked like Michael Keaton.
Farmeryeti HOW DARE YOU NOT MENTION GAMECUBE!!!
Man, I had the same surgery last year. It sucked big time. Hope you feel better Jirard.
I like how jirards batman look essentially is what batman would look like to Hugo Strange won.
He's also skips in regular show!
Only real Arkham fans completed this whole game all challenges riddles and upgrades, and got every trophy/achievement in this game.
Oh man, get well Jirrad!
You're my fav youtuber, that beard is yough as nails!
Lol, Ima review Batman & Robin on the PS1 one day... it's sitting on my shelf... watching... waiting.
Rossy167 Still waiting......
This Review really makes you feel like the completionist
"And then I pul lout my gun!"
Speaking of weird people, maybe you can review a Touhou game one day.
#Batman
The Scarecrow bits address the fears of Batman (failing to save Commissioner Gordon), Bruce Wayne (losing his parents) and the player (the game crashing). It's pretty clever.
I miss Greg so much...
Xiu Greyson shut up
I do too, I don't laugh at all during these videos anymore. When it tries to be funny it's just annoying. Oh well, it is what it is.
***** Same, I found him to be crazy annoying. Personally, I feel like it's a lot better with him gone.
That's cool, to each his own. I personally enjoyed his humor, but I understand it doesn't float everyone's boat.
It's certainly not funny, but it's unobtrusive.
glad your better. Hope you continue to make a full recovery.
Want that the ending was horrible it was that it was so basic...beat the bad guy and life goes on
I don't know it might be just another night of batman's life showing how badass he, especially seeing how even after breaking his arm he will still go after two face.
Did you know: Dr. Young is voiced by the same actor as Foxy Love (Drawn Together), Penny (Inspector Gadget), and Magma (X-men Legends). Cree Summer has voiced a million characters!
7:45 Pretty's one word
Slutty's a more fitting word...not that I mind....
This is the video where I feel Jirhad finally got a hold of his sense of humor at least a little
I need help from long-time fans: Which games (if any) have gotten the "Complete it" score by Jirard up till now? Haven't found one yet.
I thought, this game would get one for sure...
Btw, great video as always, Jirard!
Short games really. He gave the first game he reviewed, Mega Man X, a complete it rating. A lot of the older games he plays get a Complete It rating, but I think that's mostly because there's no completion bonus, so it's not saying much. Games in the post 2000 era he gave a complete it to of the top of my head are Borderlands, Kingdom Hearts and Portal 2
FloydMcRyan7 Shovel knight got a complete it .
Most games aren't really worth "completing". Once developers get to the point of designing content for people who play through games multiple times to find everything, they're just throwing out table scraps of stuff. They're not really designing a game to be played that way.
A recent one to get a complete it was Portal 2, there was also majoras mask and majoras mask 3d
Thanks, everyone! :)
So it was rather bad luck that I haven't stumbled upon one yet. Most of these are games I didn't want to spoil myself.
You said there were no good Batman games before this one, and yet, you had a remix of one of the songs of the NES Batman game playing at the end of your video, which was an awesome game!
