Javier Reyes is underrated because he lives in Tosin's shadow but he is also incredibly talented. And that's the full band. You don't have to enjoy the music for this to be a true statement, either.
Man, it's such a treat seeing current Matt's approach to his older songs. Definitely keeping it true to the original, but kicking it up just enough to hit that sweet spot and see his progression over the last few years. Cant wait to see more!

Long ago I was in a building, and heard this cat practicing.......like a different language taking you on a walk , polyrhythms, movements, phrasings, other words I dont know......holy fuckk I said often over 15 minutes...... a cornerstone man for hardwork, persistence, and bringing up the world ......hats off , the youth you are an inspiration to, in cutting the edge, and progressing exponential ❤ 🎶

Saw AAL on the Dreamsonic tour last year. Mind blowing! Seeing them again this Fall. Will be mind blowing once again and Matt is a prime driver of that experience. His groove is spot f*cking on!

I remember hearing Matt for the first time about 10 years ago and thinking: "how in the world is this guy even playing this?" Seeing him play now is similar to watching the evolution of Benny Greb over several years for me... It's INSANE these guys are still improving. We've got to get to work drummers! 🙃
He has great self control the way he goes from powerful to quick and precise was awesome. That’s particularly hard for me to do. It’s a completely mental thing for me. His self discipline is outstanding for this he doesn’t loose any control at all.
