Pretty dope. You say that riser was called a bobro? Is that the same hieght as the unity? Oh and something I found that works with the maritime bolt catch, only if it interested you... is a knights ambi mag release actually works with it without having to be modified. Just recently got one to test and it works great.
I do t know if the Bobro is the same height as the Unity…I have always had stuff from Bobro and I’ve always really like the quality so I went with their riser over the Unity.
Per ATF: The ATF procedure for measuring barrel length is to measure from the closed bolt (or breech-face) to the furthermost end of the barrel or permanently attached muzzle device. Permanent methods of attachment include full-fusion gas or electric steel-seam welding, high-temperature (1100°F) silver soldering, or blind pinning with the pin head welded over. Barrels are measured by inserting a dowel rod into the barrel until the rod stops against the bolt or breech-face. The rod is then marked at the furthermost end of the barrel or permanently attached muzzle device, withdrawn from the barrel, and measured.
I’m now running a “RECCE” setup with a P&W BCM 14.5 and a Carbine with a P&W Rosco 13.7. I change setups regularly. The RECCE is a phrase for a recon rifle.
@MillWorks-vi6oj i have the rosco 13.7 p/w already and have the chance to get a 14.5 ddm4a1 p/w for a pretty good deal used. Do you think these have too much overlapping of roles? I mean, 2 is 1 and 1 is none but can 1 do anything that the other cannot? The 13.7 is in a lightweight config vs the 14.5 is a quad rail so there is that.
Got to love a short concise UA-cam video. Need more of this and a lot less “look at me” videos 👍
Love it! Would love to pick up a DD upper like this, alas I'd rather at this point get a 13.9.
i was thinking the same. 13.9
13.9 severs no purpose
Have u messed with the gas/buffer system on it? These mfs are bouncy af i feel with the carbine gas system. I wonder how a heavier buffer wpuld do
Love the grip, needs hockey stick tape.
Nice build.

I was thinking about adding a eotech to my ddm4v7
What handguard did you say that was ? Wrist 2?
In general - Do you like quad rails over slim handguards ?
It’s the Daniel Defense RIS II FSP. I prefer the QuadRail for this type of rifle. I have two MLOK railed rifles as well.
@@MillWorks-vi6oj thanks sir
Hey Nice Rifle....where are those mags from? They look really nice!
Custom DuraMags I had made for 1350 Website Sales
Don’t understand stand why they don’t offer a non pinned version, not everyone want to run that flash hider.
I know you can get unpinned uppers. I wanted/needed pinned because I didn’t want to register this as an SBR
It looks like you can, if you buy *just* the upper. It comes with the flash hider but doesn't mention pinning it.
I have a similar question. Wondering which suppressors will work with DD's pinned welder flash hider.
@@fog8969 I think some kind of surefire can
DD sells barrels with or without gas block with unpinned flash hider.
How you like that griffin rear sight? Looks like a nice cheaper alternative to the knights
It’s really not bad. Takes a few activations to have a consistent and smooth activation … but it’s solid and it works. Great for the $$$
I dig it
Do you put the gas block on after the handguard? I have always wondered how that handguard goes around the front sight block.
Comes apart in 4 pieces
Look at a picture with m4a1 upper with m203 beneath
It’s a two piece design. FSB/FSP is installed and the. The rail installs from top/bottom.
How do you like the sight picture through the optic with the front sight post there?
I don’t mind it, can’t really notice it’s there.
What’s your buffer weight and are you running suppressed at all?
H1, no suppressor
Is that a 12 inch handguard?
the RIS II is a 12.25 Rail
Did you get DD to pin weld that Surefire flash hider for you?
Yea. These were available from DD at one point in time. I know DD still has a custom shop though…I’m sure they can build to suit.
@@MillWorks-vi6oj Thanks. I'll talk to them on their website chat and ask them if they'll still do it.
Whats the total weight of that setup?
I’d say it was 10+lbs with everything. Base DD W/RIS II is about 7-7.5lbs
What buffer weight are you running?
I ran H2 and H1. Preferred the H2
Once you pin and weld the flash hider is the barrel considered 16" OAL and not require NFA nonsense?

Been considering the HRF magwell. Is it worth the money? Seems like it might help with mag changes, but the AR already has a flared magwell.
It’s a solid piece. I have a few
You say you now have the 3. This m4, the spr and the reckie. What's a reckie?

With the surefire comp what’s the exact measurement for the barrel and pinned device?
Barrel is 14.5” device is 2.6” it comes in at 16.15 or almost 16.2
@@MillWorks-vi6oj and which device is it?
@@rubanmora13 Surefire SF3P. This is a factory built upper from Daniel Defense
Where did you get the sling holder?
I make that product. 1350Millworks.com Goblin+
👍
Is that a 12 in rail?
12.25 Rail length

Dumb question? Whars your watch ?
Resco Manus - Grey Dial w/ Suunto Clip on compass on a Resco NATO band

Does your eotech still cowitness?
It doesn’t. But the irons are there if I have to remove the optic. Part of it being my NV Gun I suppose. Passive aiming is way easier with the riser.
What’s the rail length?
12.25” length 🤙🏻
Any can for it?
Can run a Surefire can obviously, but I don’t currently own a Surefire can.
Why do you have a coke can on your hand rail? 😂
who cares
Carbine length has system or midlength?
