It's basically a more practical version of the Hyundai Veloster. Slightly less expensive, more space, more seats, better interior, etc while sacrificing very little in terms of performance (same engine but slightly heavier). I really like the Forte GT, hugely underrated car like most new Kias. In my area, I've only seen one Forte and it was a previous generation two-door. Not gonna lie, it was quite a subtle head turner.
Great car, too bad pinoys don't understand what a niche car is and has a typical mentality of "for that money you can buy blah blah" This is the car I would choose over a Civic RS.
The civic rs does have a good engine, too bad it's only a cvt which is ok for fuel economy but isn't ideal for performance, I'd prefer the Forte GT because it's underrated but good. Most people would go for civic because it's too mainstream, doesn't matter if it has a cvt.
I know it’s not a feature people care for, but the automatic trunk opener is a difference maker - if you have the fob and your hands are full, you just stand behind the car and the trunk will pop open after a couple of seconds (so long as you don’t unlock your doors which is slightly annoying).
@@jaywalkur I'm in the US. Own one and can confirm. I really only have jerking issues in first gear going real slow in traffic as to not ride the clutch. Im **always** in manual mode. So I can't really say for the normal auto mode
Damn, now my heart is split between getting a corolla cross hybrid or this one... 🤣... I don't know what my wife would think... Tipid gas or have a little fun whenever a chance happens...
Tough choice. Both vehicles are practical so it's just a matter of whether you want to save a bit more on fuel. Test drive them both. Just remember to put the forte gt in sport mode when you test drive it. If it makes you smile, it might be for you.
@@That-riyadh-gamerBlogspot The exhaust? You'll hear it inside and outside the car. It's not that loud though if you're not driving it hard. Under 2k rpm you can barely hear it
Voodoo Diecast is correct. The Mazda 3 feels a bit more refined. It has a nicer interior and a few more electronic features. But when it comes to raw performance, definitely mas malupit ang Kia Forte GT
Love the look and overall performance and exhaust sound of the Forte GT !!
im sure even the low variant of forte has its growl exhaust sound
the exhaust and the wheelspin alone makes me want to buy one..
That's why I bought one. Best price to value ratio and it's a reliable car, too. AND FUN. Hello from Texas!

Oh Nice!
Looking forward to your review of the car :)
@@jaywalkur I think your review is enough haha
Nice car review very detailed and informative :-)
Thank you

Hi sir considering mazda 3 is in the same price category would you still pick kia forte gt or go with mazda 3?
How jerky is the transmission in traffic? Is it bearable and can be used to or quite annoying?
Not that jerky. It only feels jerky when you put it in manual mode and leave it in lower gears. It becomes too responsive to throttle input
@@jaywalkur I'm in the US. Own one and can confirm. I really only have jerking issues in first gear going real slow in traffic as to not ride the clutch. Im **always** in manual mode. So I can't really say for the normal auto mode
It’s not jerky at all in Auto mode. In Traffic, it may be beneficial to leave it in Auto. On open roads, put that bad boy in Manual…
It's nothing to worry about. I have one and it's my fave transmission by far.
One heck of a car! The stigma of being a “Kia” is still embedded with peoples minds tho. Anyways very good car
Wow not bad for a budget gt.. powerful torque i should say..
Is it categorized as a sub-compact or full size sedan?
It's a compact sedan, similar in size to the civic and altis
The forte Gt is faster than the civic si. Like you said good power and style for the price.
I will go for Subaru Levourg over this Forte which is both almost have the same price tag.
I have a GT and it’s more classy and updated than the boring legacy Subaru
DCT > CVT

The forte GT has the biggest boot in its class 502 litres
Anu mas malupet mazda 3 or yan? Hehe
Mas refined ang Mazda 3 pero mas malupet ito.

Thanks sa info.. 🙂
Ehh.. Pano po yung Civic saan sya nakapwesto saka yung Altis
Pwede na pang racing :)
kinakabahan ako sa pagdrive. 😅
Still i wil choice civic rs...for looks n resale value
