      I like down to earth more than others I've tried. Down to earth just smells "fresher". Topped dress some fish bone meal last week and the fish smell was hanging around the plants for a few days like I had left the bag open.

    Salicylic acid and jasmonic acid are two different hormones for two different major pathways. As far as I know, one does not get turned into the other, in fact. Salicylic acid down regulates the JA pathway and vice versa. You can get SA from aloe vera. I use whole powdered leaf from mountain rose herbs. Good shit, so is insect frass! I second the bone meal comment. Use it up and switch to fish meal. Kelp meal ALSO has ridiculous amounts of trace minerals (60+ micronutes if I remember).

They make multi amendment products, are organic and take the place of the 5-6 different (and separate) boxes of DTE products. Ever been on a farm and seen what happens to the plants trying to grow out of the farmer's shit-pile? They're FRIED. Even nettles can't handle it. If the shit is a year old or more, you start getting nettles growing in it, but fuck all else, and they are stunted and purple. 3 or 4 years down the road, that pile is covered in dark green nettles. Organic CAN be too hot

She got better results and a much greener plant than I did when I started adding in Batshit, Wormshit, Alfafa, Calcified Seaweed. The plant didn't seem to care much about those extra added ingredients.

    You might want to improve your composting technique. Looks like an overgrown pile of weeds. This whole supersoil craze is kind of amusing. So many ingredients and so much overlap in function. First thing is to ask yourself about why you are putting each of these items into a grow bag. Then what you are going to water your plants with. These two are interrelated. If you start with good compost then you don't really need such an array of additives since the compost acts as a natural buffer, balanced source of instant and long-term nutrients, humid acid, etc. More isn't necessarily better.

    • @fredthomas1987
      @fredthomas1987 5 років тому
