y’all are truly the greatest source on independent gardening. instead of marketing your mixes you teach everyone how to basically make the products with the knowledge passed on to you. this is why your growth is so exponential and why i will be a lifelong customer. thank you and the build-a-soil family for everything y’all do for the community. much love.

If y'all only knew how much these videos have changed my life in the past year it would really blow your minds. I really want to share my story about what has happened to me in the past 5 years but this is a comment section lol. All i'm gonna say is that because of the knowledge you've instilled I've been able to go from a hospital bed on life support to growing and helping other people with cancer get better. I owe u guys my life in some weird cosmic way. I'm sorry I don't want to sound melodramatic it's just the honest truth💚💯

Continue so long as it’s fulfilling to do so cause the impression is warmingly felt and cherished by us🤙

WOWZER! Searching for organic rice hulls I stumbled on this company to order from. Seeing they have a youtube channel I had to check it out. I am blown away. As a compost "queen" I compost wherever I go and compost everywhere and in multiple ways. As a "master gardener" of over 60 years I've learned a little-lot and love sharing. So I teach compositing and vermiculture and now here I find I have so much more to learn. I love that! Thank you! I'm grateful for my stumbling... I'll be back!

Another excellent source of chitin is the clipped ends of mushrooms, what us mycologists refer to as the butts of the fruits. Not on do these clipped ends and a host of different nutrients that were mined by the mycelium Their decomposition attracts mycorrhiza bacteria and fungi and is no different from using Azos

    • @sebastienlaflamme6147
      @sebastienlaflamme6147 2 роки тому +3

If I have hundreds of bird's nest fungi agrowing everywhere in my notil bed, is this an indicator that chitin is getting bioavailable after mushroom's death?

so you saying if i use the ends of mushrooms that are growing in my worm bin they would attract mycorrhiza bacteria scores. i use JLF ways of farming/growing it works amazing with the microbes and fungi mycelium activity. organic growing is amazing

No different from using Azos is kind of reaching… youre talking about direct spores of a certain species vs “hoping” the mushroom butts attract what you need

Been using coots since 2014 when i found off GC forums. Its so great to see this video. Amazing for newbies right here. If you have any interest in home gardening, be it medicinal or food and flowers this is great. And this video makes it soooo much easier to understand. Its amazing how far thibgs have come in 8 years. From taking notes from people who posted recipe online and having no idea what i was doing, trying to even source the ingredients to today when you have someone physically showing you while explaining every detail and how to source it. This is one of the best videos ive seen on how to build your own soil.

Jeremy, I'd like to express my appreciation for your videos. In my opinion, your vids are the most instructional and well presented on YT. I can't thank you enough for all your effort in producing these.
This, in particular, was a very valuable vid for me. I've been reluctant to purchase the BaS soils due to the shipping charges to the NE US. This vid allows us to build a fantastic soil with local material and fine tuning with the smaller quantities of BaS ingredients, making the creation of a quality soil more affordable. Fantastic!
On another note, on my second grow, this time using BaS Build a Bloom, coconut milk powder, worm castings, and Craft Blend and my plants seem to be Very happy.
Using these products makes it very easy to keep up with their nutritional needs.
    Thanks again Jeremy.

I've tried telling people these ways and telling people to look up Clackamascoot and seeing how simple organics really is. I use alot egg shells and coffee grains in my worm castings. Im an east coaster so its hard find certain things. We got our first grow shop here in va but it carries mostly hydro stuff. They have total of 7 down to earth products and thats it. Needless to say i hate shipping things across country but im about just order from you guys. Much love and respect bro

Token Rhyme in Midlothian (near Richmond) has 3.0 and light soils. They also have other BAS products. I’m in Va. Beach and it’s either cross country ship or them (about two hour drive for me). Love BAS products!

If you're closer to Christiansburg there is a hydro shop that now carries a lot of B.A.S. products.

Awesome video. I really want to build my own soil one of these days. I will likely be scaling that recipe down a bit.

This just keeps getting better, just wish I had that many castings, but then again Colorado worm castings has me covered and top notch at that yAy now let’s see what kind of spam I win at build a soil today and just simply commenting on a video, if only winning the lottery was that easy haha
