After watching this episode, you learn about the most powerful DIY compost tea recipe you can make and apply to your garden.
    Full Workhorse Tea Recipe:
Please consider alternating Boogie applications with cheaper and more basic and simple worm tea recipes. Our favorite way is to make a dedicated “vermi-tea” from Caliuana Castings, along with some quality compost (ideally a wood-chip rich compost blend), and perhaps a little kelp and / or rock dust as catalyst ingredients. Try sweetening such a tea with a little sugar or molasses (i.e. Sucanat or Boogie Brix is highly recommended) and brew for 24 to 48 hours. Bingo, maximum bang for your vermi-buck!
“Workhorse Tea” Formula (per 5 gallons of full-strength brew):
    A) 1 cup Caliuana worm castings
    B) 1 cup of wood-chip rich compost
(For pure vermi-tea, substitute above with 2 cups of castings only).
    C) 1/4 cup Sucanat or molasses or 2 Tbsp Boogie Brix
    D) Optional additives: 2 Tbsp Kelp Extract or 1/4 cup kelp meal and 2 Tbsp of any rock dusts (Azonite, Cascade etc).
    E) Black Soldier Fly Larvae Frass /Insect Frass: 1 cup Boogie Black (added at hour 18+).
*Note: Brew the workhorse tea for a little longer than regular Boogie Brew 2-part tea (36 to 48 hrs)
*Add the frass (from 1/3 cup to 1.5 cups or so) after 18 hours of brewing. You also want to wait for compost tea to mature BEFORE adding frass as the delicate younger microbes in tea can otherwise get overwhelmed by the strong dominator species (pathogen-busters) in the frass.

I just recently found your channel while searching for soil recipes for my next grow. I'm currently on my first grow that I planted back in April and I wish I had found your channel back then. I ended up using some "deadrients" but I stopped when I found your channel. Now I'm using some organic dry amendments for the rest of the way. You have inspired me to take my health and my garden soil more seriously, John. For that I thank you. I will 100% be ordering Boogie Brew for my next grow. I know you aren't specifically a cannabis grower but it would be nice to see you do some of your own grows and document them from start to finish. I bet you could get some monster plants! Anyway, thanks again for what you do John. Your enthusiasm and energy is contagious!

I’m trying to understand the logic of how you blame oil companies for the price hike ? the Bidens shut down the pipeline first day in office. Did all sorts of things to make us not energy independent anymore which then caused food prices to go up when energy prices go up so does everything else! When he took over inflation was low , food , gas , housing were reasonable.
Now fast forward almost 3years later and people want off this ride🤢

Interesting story about BSF. So they are pretty prominent here in the South, but they go dormant in the winter. During the winter, my kitchen scrap compost bin just grows and grows because it is basically like throwing kitchen scraps in the fridge and decomposes very slowly. However, as soon as it warms up the BSF return. Now this is a fairly large, lockable bin I keep separate from my compost piles due to vermin. Anyway, one year being fairly new at composting, I decided to dig through the bin to see just how the BSF were getting along. The bin was SOLID, TOP TO BOTTOM, BSF larvae. I couldn't believe my eyes. One GIANT WRITHING MASS! Truth be told, I am not a huge fan of them. They are nature's little garbage disposals for sure. You can throw anything at them and they will devour it in a few hours, literally. And in the summer, I will happily compost meat, dairy, fats, etc. The only things they avoid are citrus. And thanks to the BSF my kitchen scrap compost bin never smells while it tends to stink during the winter. But, the main reason I don't like them is they eat everything. I much rather all that kitchen waste go into my compost, not the BSF guts. So, I took that giant mass of BSF larvae and tipped it into my compost pile, covered it with leaves, pine needles, and coffee grounds. They probably just wriggled out anyway. But, I don't wait for the BSF to appear anymore. Now, I tip the bin into my melon pits.

For marijuana I prefer to buy very specific microbes and bottle feed organics that way I can control everything. I get the best flavor, Crystal coverage, and potency this way. If I was growing vegetables or growing outside then yeah super soil and teas. Castings however benefit any garden that uses soil or soiless medium

Even just one single application of a good AACT recipe can certainly benefit any garden. However, 2x/monthly tea applications are ideal. No need to purchase, consider making your own worm castings & compost, then add a little raw sugar and brew away.
