Hi, please what's the name of the font mr beast uses, thanks
Weldone Tr really appreciate your work @from Uganda 🇺🇬
In the middle of your course now. The sheet activity is a bit more challenging than anticipated. By the way, 1 squiggly L is more than 1 $, in case anyone is wondering.
What do you use to edit mate?
Thank you for sharing the BTS. Really like your informative videos and story telling ... makes watching worthwhile.
Hey great video! Just a quick tip from me: if you have a continuity error, leave it in. Think about it, what you wanted was engagement, and people commenting. If people notice it, they will feel smart when they comment and correct your mistake. You can then answer with "good catch!" or something to make them feel good which gives you the likes. I myself always leave 1-2 spelling errors in the video, and ill put a few wierd things in the background to boost comment rates :)
there were 4 lol and even with that i still missed one, also one scene just wasnt working so it made sense to do it again.
Haha, genius! 😄
🧠1000 IQ
@SeenSven great idea! Thanks for sharing that.
damn it sven
the fact this video has more views in 40 minutes than the other video in the vid 💀
haha yea, what you see on UA-cam is actually much further behind, the studio has the most up to date info
@@FilmBooth Truer words have never been spoken

I love how he uses all his own advice here:
- Adding stakes in the hook
- Explaining his goal
- Explaining what he’s up against
- Putting a time limit
- Sound effects
etc…
Just beautiful
yeah he's good
the feeling when a video u spent soo much effort on does good is the best
"You only compete with yourself"
That's true and this is what I was telling myself at the time I was running (half) marathons
UA-cam is a long distance race with your own goals to achieve and exceed
That quote !
But it is as if the video is good people will watch. Even if its the best ever which mine will not be, still who will take the effort to watch it?
Fantastic backstory for a fantastic video. Your best advice is that you're only competing against yourself.
The effort that you put into your videos has certainly not gone unnoticed! Great job.
haha its great to see you here, love your work mate
Finally hit the 100K mark & got verified! Greatest feeling ever!! love your videos ED! always pumping out the most unique type of educational videos! Hope we see many more people reach their goals this year!
So you got 100k subscribers from 23 videos 😶

You're here.. Don't quit.. When I uploaded videos for 2 months and the views were low, I was just about to give up, I saw that video, and I continue :)
Thanks for the motivation❤️
I often love the behind-the-scenes videos like this more than the final results, because they are SO relatable! So much work goes in to create this content, and often it goes unnoticed. I can’t wait to now go and watch the final video you created, with a greater appreciation for the effort behind it.
Only UA-camrs will know the amount of hard work goes behind making every video, Hats off 🙌
facts big facts
Indeed, I spent 3 months researching for my last video only for it to flop bad
@@galacticgeek2616 I know I'm 3 months late, but I think changing up the thumbnail as well as the title could help, it's just too vague imo
yes I thought I worked hard but ive never had to clean a dirty wheelie bin!
I was just listening to this one on my drive to work because the story you told and HOW you told it was so compelling. Was so excited to watch it again and ACTUALLY WATCH the struggles you were going through and man you do NOT dissapoint. Love this! Thank you for all the effort you put in your videos :)
This is the BEST “behind the scenes” video I’ve ever seen. Bravo!
Your channel is so good at what I call the Bill Nye effect. As a kid, in school all of the students couldn't wait for the science prof to play Bill Nye in class. Seriously, I never met a kid who didn't like Bill Nye even though most of us hated science. That's like a 100% CTR in youtube terms! Bill Nye was so good at making content interesting and appealing even if you have no interest in the topic. UA-cam advice is such a specific niche, but your videos are enjoyable and have such a great story that even if someone didnt have a YT channel or interest in YT, they would still really enjoy your video. I'm trying to do the same with my channel, but you've mastered it, and it's so great to watch and learn from you! Thank you 🙏
LOL. I'm so delighted you showed the cleaning of the "Wheelie Bin" I've got a cleaning channel and the first thought I had when you earlier climbed into it in your living room was (Oh wow, he had to clean that before bringing it inside. That's a huge time inconvenience that he's not even going to show us that cost him production time.) LOL. Hats off and high five for showing us the process. 👏👏👏
What was most helpful about this was seeing your struggles. It reminds me that I'm not the only one. I appreciate you sharing this.
I’ve watched all of your videos, often even 4 or 5 times and every time I find something new, some new information or a subtle transition. Ed I want to thank you for everything you’ve done❤️
You are by far one of my favorite UA-cam Channels! Your channel should be in the millions! The way you present educational content in such a fun way I can’t stop watching! Thank you for all of your help!
I'm so happy for you, Ed - goes to show all the hard work and planning can pay off... if you're smart about it like you are. I appreciate this explainer video too, you really don't do anything by halves! My channel journey is gaining momentum at the moment and a big help has been your videos - thank you so much.
I watched the last one and definitely left one of the comments you were gunning for. That video was seriously entertaining! This was a great inside look at your thought process and what it took to make it. I’m still new to editing and your videos have gotten me pretty hyped about it! Keep killing it!
It's really great to get some insight into how you create the awesome stories you do, storytelling is one thing I struggle with so I'll definitely be keeping a note of those tips!
It's amazing what you've been able to do in a "boring" niche. Very inspiring stuff, keep up the great work!
wow i love it! Love your dediciation and all the hard work that went into making quality content! So happy to see you enjoyed the process and got great results afterwards
Thank you for all of the hard work you put in and for being vulnerable. It’s extremely inspiring.
I was going to say the same thing, it's not easy to peel back the curtain that far. Very much appreciated.
👏 👏 👏 😅 Hats off to you Ed. You’re the only UA-camr who I click the like button before I’ve even watched the video. Watching your efforts makes me realize this struggle is “normal”, the re-takes happen, the voiceovers have to happen (AGAIN?) - congrats on another winner!
Another killer video Ed! storytelling and overall edutainment at it's finest, thanks again!
Your perseverance inspires me man, I love how genuine and real you are!
Thank you for all you do really keeps me trying on mine! Look forward to your next video.
I respect your hustle. Your channel is definitely a blessing to UA-cam
U deserve soooooo much more!!!!! This video is relatable and the way u kept us hooked was superb! 💥🤩
Insane!
I found you literally a few days ago... watched your first ones and now the new ones! the change is just remarkable. absolutely amazing!
In the 1st ones - I couldn't help myself but to 2x the speed, jump parts and move to the next one... with a constant thought of "this is good information but damnn this feels like a class or lecture you want to watch learn and move on.
In the new ones - I enjoy every second, the editing is top-notch and I'm dying to know how you did half of the stuff, I find myself watching it at normal speed and even rewatching some parts, and when I'm done naturally I want to see the next one!
Amazing progress! every success you're getting is deserved.
Your cutaways are seriously SO awesome. You put so much into your craft and it really pays off. Great work!!
Ed, You inspired me to post my 2 UA-cam videos that are starting to get traction after 1 year of overthinking.
Thank you so much! 🙂
To anyone starting your own youtube channel, you have my support!! We’re all in this together!
thank you for these words, really inspired me!
Really interesting content man, I’ve been lurking your channel for a while now and have always been impressed with your storytelling and creative approaches to both editing and algorithm challenges. I’ve even tried to apply some of your advice to my own videos but it can be difficult given my niche haha, do you do coaching/strategy sessions at all? Would love to pick your brain sometime - really happy watching your channel grow and I wish you all the best in 2022!
Thanks :) glad youre liking the videos. I do coaching, theres a link on the channel about us page if you want to check it out

@@FilmBooth hello Film
Absolutely phenomenal video Ed. I make sure to share your channel/videos with anyone looking to either start or upgrade their UA-cam journey.
One of the most dedicated UA-camrs I have ever come across. I've learned so much from your videos and have been applying them to mine, thank you so much. Keep it up!
No one does this niche better than you Ed. Thanks!
I feel like I've found such a goldmine with your channel. I selfishly don't want you to blow up so I can keep this information but at the same time know at this rate you'll be massive in no time.
I was having a rough day and it was nice to commiserate with your few rough days and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Cheers mate 👍
Hats off to you. The most creative AND informative channel going. Well done, plain and simple!
Bro, putting education and storytelling like that in one vid is a LOT better then everything I've seen so far.
This is my FAVORITE VIDEO you've EVER MADE!! Sharing the struggles of what we go through makes me feel like you are so relevant and relatable. THANK YOU! Best channel by far.
Thank you so much!!
Nice work!! It's always great to see your hard work paying off. Keep up the great vids!
Nobody can deny how much work you put into your videos Ed! Congrats on the results and thanks for showing how much effort it takes to put a great video together!
The 24h metric comparison really indicates that I should be digging deeper, well done bro!
The question now is: Has this video became the new 1/10?
If so, we will need a new video about this video, that is about the previous video. The endless rabbit hole 👀
That would actually be the 4th video, not the 3rd but I wont say anymore as I'll need to wait a few weeks to see if we can make that. 24 hour data for me is one of the most important places to focus
@@FilmBooth Hahaha, so it actually goes even deeper!
Will keep an eye on the 24h metrics. I've learned quite a few valid strategies from your channel this January, even though I’ve been here at least 6 months or so.
Things got way clearer now and will play an important role on this year's agenda, with at least 3 new channels coming soon and doubling our writing and editing team.
It's always a treat to watch your videos. Entertaining and useful content.
Hey darling
Now that is an incredible amount of thought, planning and work that went into that video. It worked too - one of your best. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes. Cheers!
Watching this behind the scenes was fabulous because it made you even more relatable: the costume changes, the sound issues, the refilming, and especially the TWO HOURS of set up! It’s not just me!! Thank you for that!
Your content is informative, entertaining, and inspiring. Thank you for helping me stay inspired. I will continue to make something awesome!!
Ed, THIS may have been the most incredible and entertaining video ever. The eyeliner bit was hilarious. Monumental, heroic effort... thanks as always for all the hard work... very inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for putting this out! Particularly powerful when you say, "you only need to compare yourself against yourself". I most appreciate your content! Definitely inspirational!
I just found your channel the other day and I’m learning SO much! I really enjoy the way you break it all down and teach with cisuals and humor. Off to watch the next one!
I love this. You’re showing that thumbnails and planning are actual effort, and not a quick 5 minute afterthought 👍🏾
Oh wow, the planing and thumbnails take me ages most of the time
It's the first step of the viewer journey! First impressions are important!
This is educational entertainment at its finest. I feel like I should be paying for this. Thank you so much
Wow the end product looked so good I had no idea so much effort went into it behind the scenes. Great video! Thanks for sharing the creative process!
Loved this video! The story was well written and well produced. This might be my favorite video from your channel. Watched to the end!
You're flippin' amazing. Seriously, seeing the time and effort you put into this is inspiring. I nearly spit out my tea when you used the eyelash glue. hahahha ! Wishing you continued success. You're so fun to watch !!
If you watch the original video, you can see it on my eyes in a few shots 😂
@@FilmBooth hahahaha 🙌🏻😆
The most entertaining and educational content on UA-cam 🔥🥰
Love the detail and the sheer level of effort in each video! Great information every time!! Love how you show the thought that goes into the thumbnail and title.
Sidenote your videos have been so helpful. And digestible, and fun. Great stuff brother I look forward to more.
Would love to see a video...something along the lines of making that tradeoff between quality and quantity (or how much is too much work in a video). I know this is a production quality channel and the 'best practices' is always quality over quantity but for as much time as you spent on the video...I wonder if you couldn't have created two or three 'good' videos and gotten just as many or more views total. Reminds me of Churchill's quote, "Perfect is the Enemy of Progress."
I struggle with this because it seems, at times, UA-cam rewards quantity over quality. You see channels doing daily uploads and even multiple dailies and really doing well. I spent two months developing a five-video series; shooting in-person interviews and b-roll, developing story lines for each video and an arc across the series...and all five bombed. I don't regret it because it challenged me and they are great videos but could have done 15+ videos in the same amount of time and probably gotten many times more views.
Ive actually tested this and the quality ones won by miles :) Also when a quality video doesnt do well, a thumbnail change can blow it up, I know its more work but I look at these videos as works in progress until I can find the right title and thumbnail combo to get them to hit their potential
My 2 cents:
I've been tracking a few competitors in my niche, one of which started their channel at about the same time (late November 2021). My strategy during December was daily uploads, and in January I switched to 3-4 per week. So I'm at about 60 videos so far, roughly 1.5m views total. Another channel in my niche has made 7 videos in the same time, their initial growth was slower (November-December), but in the last 2-3 weeks their channel's growth has started outpacing mine by a wide margin, and has already overtaken mine in views.
The difference is that each of those 7 videos had much more effort put in, per video.
So I do think that quality is probably more important than quantity.
Just keep in mind that as creators, we can be very biased regarding the quality of our own work, and many hours spent on a video does not necessarily translate to it being a compelling video for viewers.
I do love that quote! The variant of it I've heard is "perfect is the enemy of good", so personally I try to aim for 80-90% in terms of quality and just ship the video at that point.
I think that when you first start combine both can be interesting because if you produce too much you might not create great video that will be intersting for your audience but maybe I am wrong as well!
Loved seeing this video and how raw it can be at times. Thanks for showing us behind the curtain and letting us know when we mistakes so do some of the big ones on the platform. It's one reason i love your channel - plus the effort you put in is inspiriing. I've been wanting to do a clone /split screen idea and after seeing this I will definitely try!
Nice to know other creators go through the same things. Most of the time you only see the finished video and don't even think about what they went through to get there.
in your videos wwe can perfectly see how much effort it took! You are doing amazing!
For the audio issue I would have used Audacity! There's a really easy way to reduce background noise, you can look up some very easy tutorials but here's the gist: you grab a part where you're not talking, tell Audacity you want to eliminate that kind of noise, then grab the rest and eliminate that kind of noise from it. You can import audio from videos and then just put it back into the project and delete the original audio that has the issue. Hoping anyone else who might have this problem in the future will see this! (I also recommend doing it if you have to record in noisy environments in general!)
The best I've made went like this...
1 hr - 100+ views
2 hr - 250-350 views
Lost hope, went to touch grass (playing outdoor).
Returns and opens youtube after 6 hrs to see 430K+ views
Woke up the next day to see 893K+ views (later that evening it eventually reached a million views in almost 48 Hrs).
The graph thumbnail is 69,420% true as I experienced it.
😂 Thats amazing!! I actually lolled imaging the dissapointment to delight
Same thing happened to me 3 years ago, never happened again.
That was absolutely brilliant, well done, great story line. I really like the trials and tribulations part as well, great video.
Hi Ed, just stopped by to say a big thank you for all the effort and hard work you put into your videos. They have helped me greatly. 😉😉🙌🏽🙌🏽
I don’t know how you did this, but you bloody well did it 👏
Lots of work this one 🤣 and glue
Truly one of your best videos ever! Which software did you use to make your comment goals and script? You are the only UA-camr I know that combines entertainment long with education! Tysm :)
I think it's Milanote!
I really like how you make it clear that channels compete against themselves. Since a lot of creators compare their channel to bigger channels and even cross genres, this means a lot! Especially since not all audiences are identical! Thanks for the video, I learned a lot!
i love how you put your heart and soul into your content! excited to learn more from you :)
"In terms of UA-cam channels who get millions of views on release, it did not blow up"
Well, Let's see how this channel will relate, Next year this time. [Feb - 1st - 2023]
Just watched this video, the first one I have seen of yours. Color me impressed. The pacing, the storytelling, the camera work.. kudos to you. Subbed and keeping an eye open for your videos. Cheers!
Congratulations on killing it man! I really enjoyed seeing what truly goes into creating a video like this
One of the things I really enjoy about this channel is how your creatively frame the concept and content of each video. At the end of this video you said "this is the video you just watched the making-of" and I thought "oh yeah, I did just watch a kind 'Making Of' Video". But it was more than that, it had its own messages and learning aspects as well. If this video was titled "the making of my previous video" or something I dunno if I would have been as drawn to it. Awesome work yet again! There's always so much to learn.
Wow. This behind-the-scenes is epic. You had me gripped on the edge of my seat! The lengths you go to to make your vids 🔥 is awe-inspiring! ✨🙌✨
Absolute fantastic and fascinating to take a look into how you pieced this all together! Great job!
it's just fantastic!!! your storytelling skills are amazing! I just had a smile on my face most of the time and wanted to rewatch it agains while I was watched it the first time :) thanks for the amazing AND useful!!! content
It's super interesting to see how a video is created and how much struggle there is. Nice one!
OOOMG I Absolutely LOVE everything about this video!!!!
BRAVO!!! All your hard work & editing & production & post production = PAID OFF!
Absolutely BRILLIANT!
That was so IMPRESSIVE. Gosh, I wish I could put so much into my channel, and that’s where I struggle the most. Lack of time. But, still, it was so great to watch this and just see your dedication.
This was very awesome. I am a super fan! And stop being so awesome, making me feel anxious about all the work I need to do!
Another great vlog Ed. You kept my interest all the way through. All the best
I enjoyed watching this...You really put a lot of work into your videos. You deserve the "views"...thank you for sharing!
Now you are in pace to break your record with this video as well, well done mate!🙌
It is so reassuring watching you struggle with each and every step of making this. I sometimes feel like making a video is like going to war with my equipment.
Really like this stuff about how you actually make videos, so refreshing to see that its not always a smooth process filming stuff even for big channels. When it takes me a few hours to film a video (when every shot and line is already planned) I usually feel pretty frustrated, but now I think Ill feel alright about it, thanks! :D
I felt this one 😁Congrats! Can't wait to know the feeling of having a video blow up
Amazing video again!! And can we just appreciate that the challenge of planning and recording a video was twice as hard, because you were also filming segments for this video at the same time!!! 😲
You're a storytelling genius! 2022 is gonna be a great year for film booth 🔥🔥💪🏻
I have so much fun watching your videos. Cheers for the entertainment, the info and for being so relatable. Happy new year to you and the crew, stay safe!
this video aslong with alot of your others are the reason ima be on top this year keep going and dont stop your channel is amazing
Sitting at the edge of my seat till the end. This is a great workmanship and so relatable on multiple levels. Excellent work!
Phenomenal! I've been putting so much work into my next vid and I'm going through your awesome channel to suck up as much info as I can so it can be my "best video I've ever made."
Awesome video, always look forward to them now. I imagine many people react in the way you portray yourself during the making of a video, I know it reflects my reaction to my last! So much so that I've binned it and am starting again!
Man, so many UA-camrs have videos that are fun to watch OR videos that contain useful information, but yours are somehow always both! Since discovering your channel a few months ago, I've completely changed the way I think about UA-cam videos. I know that "feeling a bit sick after posting" vibe, but I hope you know how much you're helping people!!
Man, you deserve all the success you had lately. You are one hard working fella. It's really interesting to see how much work goes into these videos that just look like a fun idea.
Great video, thx for creating. Lots of effort and the analytics show👍
Bro, you are so entertaining. It's seriously next level. Praying your channel continues to blow up!!
The best "edutainment" - you nail it every time.! Thank you for what you do!!
