Good tips and I fully agree. My biggest grief with "blaming youtube" is when I see all the analytics going downward trending, and the number of messages I get saying they stopped getting notifications for new uploads, don't see the videos in their sub feed, got unsubscribed without knowing it, etc...go UP. That's what annoys me because that part is out of my control. But even though I sent YT Partner support 50+ screenshots of different users showing all these problems, they still said there was none. That's where my frustration comes from.

Some really fantastic advice here! I've binged a bunch of your videos and I will be trying to implement a lot of your advice into my future videos!
The quality vs quantity issue is something I've been struggling with recently and this video really did help reassure my decision to focus my attention on striving for quality!
Thank you for all of your insightful videos and keep up the amazing work!

Such a great video Ed! I can really empathise with the ups and down of UA-cam that you’ve been through. Good reminder to treat UA-cam like a fun puzzle and not get frustrated when it doesn’t go the way we planned 🤗.

Wow, just wow. How YT hasn’t suggested me to watch you before is crazy. This is the type of content I want. It’s the type I want to consume but also the type I want to create. Thank you for being such a inspiration. I just subbed and belled the shit out of you. Just wanted you to smile and know YT didn’t measure my feeling watching this. Top shelf man. You’ve got a new fan.

Omg THANK YOU ! Your videos are soo helpful and I think you're the only youtuber I've found actually giving this kind of advice and not just "make good videos, edit it well, post often and you'll get to it". I'm not really part of the UA-cam creators family yet but soon will publish my first video and I'll try to follow your tips and wise advice ! Hoping it will work out and that I'll have fun on this amazing journey !

I am so grateful for the experience that building a UA-cam channel comes with. It’s hard & exhausting but it will all be worth it. Keep going guys this is just the beginning for us!

Very well done. I saw this video promoted in a UA-cam group I'm in, and rightly so. Excellent points covered in an original, engaging and creative way. Standing ovation! 👏🏻

i really loves your videos , i'm an italian creator and even if i try so hard to leave the "lower" youtube area , i cannot actually find anything that works. Still doing what i feel and trying to improve , even if it's frustrating

I enjoy your channel because you deliver educational and story-telling content that is cleverly produced and that's difficult to find out there and it's hard to explain it. UA-cam channels are people's identity and reputation and it hits you at the core if you let it. If you love what you do the audience will appreciate those efforts and you'll attract raving fans that are loyal and steady because that bond has blossomed. Good Luck to you and thanks for pressing through. The issue is finding the time and balancing life. Never easy!

I had about 70 bad videos. Deleted 61 and left for 6 months learning how to edit like a champ. Thought that it was enough but realized not even close. Left for 6 months again to keep learning how to edit and Photoshop. Now my videos are 1000000 times better and people are loving them and I'm growing. Even though I can't upload a lot, when I do people love it.
