How do we heal from heartbreak as Christians? Letting the pain of loss in our lives open us up to intimacy with Christ is a form of truly healing, redemptive prayer and can bring us so much closer to God. In Christ, all of our sufferings can lead us to holiness!

Lol I just wanna share that I was strung along by a guy and he absolutely destroyed my soul. Sexually preyed on me. It wasn't long term and he didn't take me seriously, as I later found out, but I still spent a good 2+ years recovering from being used.
It can take a while to heal even if it wasn't serious. Just saying.

God knows of the rupture in your heart. Pain can break us but it can also break us open. You are in profound union with the suffering Christ. Christ on the cross for you right now is an experience. Your suffering is Christ’s suffering. Christ’s suffering is your suffering. You are experiencing a profound intimacy with the suffering Christ. “The soul’s vision is plunged into darkness and though God is nearer than ever to the soul which is suffering, the whole secret consists in the fact that it knows nothing of this. The soul in fact declares that, not only has God abandoned it, but it is the object of His hatred…the soul, struck by divine light, claims that there is no light, whereas, it is so intense that it blinds her. Yet despite all, I learned later that God is closer to a soul at such moments than at others, because it would not be able to endure the trials with the help of ordinary grace alone. God’s omnipotence and an extraordinary grace must be active here, for otherwise the soul would succumb at the first blow.”

People dont forget to fogive someone who broke your heart with the help of the mercy of jesus...it frees you and unexpected things can happen (for example hearing each other again and saying sorry after decades, conversions ect.) Im speaking from experience so trust the lords mercy

I just wanna thank you. I feel like this guy, and I've been through this before, but this never get easier. And I get all this thoughts and lies in my head. I want the pain, the miss go away so much, but you reminded me what I really need to do. Search this intimacy that my heart is willing into Jesus on cross. 🙏

When I was 21 years old, I broke up with a guy. After that my reversion began and I was praying for him for 6 years. It wasn’t until a confession that a priest told me to stop praying for him .
I’m currently going through another breakup. What do you all advise me to not become attached in prayer to my ex boyfriend? Blessings to all
