    You received a product from the manufacturer, and accordingly didn't mark it as a review. You've earned my subscribe

    12:26 an easy fix for this would be to add a small rectangular piece on the button. Could be cut from wood or 3D printed

    You might be able to epoxy an extension to your "on/off button" to get it to work.

    I’m gonna use this for my garage! We have a push button so if I simply add a block of wood under the button this should work perfectly!

    I am using the Switch bot bot to open up my garage door. I got fed up with the MyQ working on a part-time bases and am happy with the bot. Did you try to build up the surface where the switch hammer presses it and, did not press it hard enough, or did not touch it?

    Hello as this button I should use it on a pellet stove. And since the button has to be pressed for one second to switch on, is it possible to extend the button for the necessary time?

    @Tech with Brett I just need the switch bot to push a button on one thing. I have a powered subwoofer that sometimes don't come on by itself like it should. I don't need the other things the switch bot offers. Can you please tell me what's the best version of this to buy, like do I need to buy a hub and a switch bot? Or can I just get the bot without the hub? Don't really wanna buy a hub just to use it for one thing. Also, do this thing run on batteries, or charge up? If so, how long does the charge or batteries last? Or, can I leave it plugged up? Please help me my friend.

    If you are like me you came to this video for this.
    To answer that question, remotely start and stop recording my Canon R82 SINCE THERE'S NO WAY TO DO THAT WITHOUT SACRIFICING 60FPS 1080p SETTINGS!

    Interesting! Have you tried it on a Mini Split A/C? Please Review the IR function through the remote control for A/C and TV, people say it is simple to use The on & off and volume Up & Down, but hard to set it up for the input and other keys. Also so intrigued for the Temperature UP & Dowm keys on A/Cs. Pleaaase!!!! =)

      I read if you use it twice a day it should last for 600 days.

    I'm looking for something like this for my garage door opener mounted on the wall. Do you think this would work?

    • @sherrygardiner1587
      @sherrygardiner1587 4 роки тому

      Yes mine does. I had to add a piece of wood on the wall beside the garage door opener so the switch bot was the same height as my garage door opener

    FYI I have 2 of these "switches" and I installed one of them a couple months ago on a coffee maker. Over this time, it's probably been used 30 times as I don't drink coffee. Today, I noticed that the "switch" was stuck in a half way position. I tried it and it had no pressure to actually push the start button. I went and got the other one and installed it. It operated, but it also didn't have the pressure to push the button. I added some peel and stick stuff to extend the button. It just didn't have the pressure. So in my opinion, this is a great idea but another piece of Chinese junk.

    I connected the switchbot mini hub and switchbot temperature/hygrometer meter to Smartthings. BUT, data from the meter only updates a few times per day, so I am not getting timely data to use for automations. Anyone tried linking Switchbot to Smartthings and having the same issue? The temperature and humidity are being read constantly on the switchbot meter, but the data is rarely updating to Smartthings.

    I used the IR in the hub plus to send the power on command to my sound bar and then every 15 minutes to send a volume up command to the sound bar so the stupid thing doesn't power off if I pause the TV... #StupidSoundBar #WhyDoYouGoToSleep #WhyCouldINotChangeTheSetting #YesSettingThat15MinuteThingTookWayTooLongToSetup
