    I love mine. I just ordered some of the 25 round mags from sigs website. I have 5,300rds through it mostly CCI with not one malfunction suppressed and unsuppressed. As long as you load the mags properly they’re very reliable. I also didn’t have any leading issues with my barrel, but there was a little build up on the inside of the adapter. I just scraped it off and it was good as new. Accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot. I also find it’s a great training tool for my xl/macro since the grip modules are so similar. As for dry firing, I think sig said you’re supposed to keep the plastic thing that comes in the barrel inserted. Great video! Subbed

      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  Рік тому +3

      Nice! Thanks for subbing and glad you like the video! So far so good with the one I’ve tested, I had a lot of fun with it! It is disappointing though to see the issues others have had though, which means that sig has some work to do with QC and T&E prior to releasing. That being said, they kick out more guns than the majority of manufacturers… so with increased production is likely to come more lemons🤷🏻‍♂️

    been watching a bunch of p322 vids as I've been looking into getting one. Was nice to see someone suggest getting multiple opinions, even looking up negative feedback to have a well informed opinion in your purchase. Pretty certain at this point I'll be picking one up.

      Well thanks! Honestly that’s the review process in a nutshell. As much as people want to always hear that the gun they want is “flawless”, there’s always going to be a downside. No product or manufacturer is perfect. In this case I had great luck with this pistol despite the shortcomings I explain, but others have had a less than stellar experience with this gun. Every review is a sample size of 1, so it’s always beneficial to see multiple reviews on a product. Thanks for watching!

    Well now this was a interesting video and I have had nothing but good experience with my p322. I have probably put close to 4000 rounds through mine and I have shot every kind of cheap bulk ammo out there and it handles it all. Most definitely the p322 has moved to the number one position of my semi-auto 22 handguns that I own.

    Great job on the review. I purchased mine and have run about 1000 rounds of different ammo. It did not like Winchester high velocity 222 with issues failing to load. It ran Armscor flawlessly with no issues whatsoever. My next ammo I tried was Aguila high velocity with failure to fire issues after looking at the shell it looked like light strikes. After doing a little research and finding a video I shimmed the the hammer spring and now it is working excellent. It was super easy to do. I just love this handgun, it is just a great trainging gun as I have a Sig P365XL as my EDC.

    My fiancé and I hate how little we shoot nowadays due to the increasing cost of ammo. Our .300 SBR, 5.56 rifle, 9mm pistol don’t see a lot of sunshine these days. We’ve been looking at a .22 pistol for this reason. Pistols are harder to master, and .22 is stupid cheap. Can’t beat ‘em!

    I purchased my P322 in early April 2022 right after they came out. It does not like the Norma Tac 22 ammo either. It functions well with CCI and Federal ammo. Have not had the barrel leading problem others have reported. I put the Sig Romeo Zero on it and I'm still trying to get used to shooting a pistol with a red dot sight. Great video!

    @davidabernathy4553 Рік тому +2

    Well now this was a interesting video and I must say that the p322 that I own is a very reliable pistol. I also agree that you do have to be careful the way you load magazines and once you learn to load them correctly the magazines no longer represent any problems. I have probably fired around 3,500 rounds through mine and I have experience no excessive leading in the barrel.

    Cleaned my gun before I ever used it. I’ve been using CCI Tactical. I had a few problems until the gun/magazines broke in. About 200 to 300 rounds. Now it runs without any problems. It’s great for target and plinking.

    Here’s a tip for light strikes, remove the grip module by punching out the two roll pins, then remove the fcu the hammer spring resides in a hole in the module put a 2mm thick spacer or like I used a button head screw which I ground the head to 2 mm and put the bolt threaded part thru the spring and insert that into module then reassemble and bingo! No more failures to fire! You’re Welcome!😊

    The same happens with the M&P15-22, if you dont load the ammo correct, you will get failure to feed with the stove pipe. So as you said, make sure when you drop the next one IN, make sure the rim is in FRONT of the one below it, this way when it pushes it forward, it loads properly and wont get caught with the one below it.
    I went thru 200+ rounds of this CCI Mini Mag and all fired and all cycled perfect.

    I have this pistol. Hate me if you want but I carry this as my daily. I went with some Winchester 36gr copper plated hollow point. It wasn’t a fan of this for the first 150rds. What it did love was CCI mini-mag Varmint 36grCPHP and I’ve ran 250rds with no light primer strike fTF or FTE. Try that see if it likes. You are very correct each pistol likes its own ammo. Great video. Have fun with it. Love mine!

    I had problems when I first started shooting. Loading the mags was the issue. Cleaning especially after firing lead rounds is important and lubricants is important. I put an optical sight on mine and the accuracy has improved. I have fired about 1000 rounds so far and it’s fun to shoot.

    Thanks for the video bud. I'm liking the content that you make. Quick question tho... the cci ammo you were having issues with. Was that cci mini mags? Or just regular cci blazer bulk ammo. Cause the mini mags ran through my p322 no prob but I did have issues with the cci blazer. Mainly light primer strikes. Thanks in advance!

    Love mine. I was having a little buyer's remorse due to all these videos talking about issues. Went to range yesterday and had one cartridge that wouldn't fire (not even in my 10/22) and a failure to feed with some cheap hollow point. This was right out of the box new. I was running standard velocity round nose , coated and uncoated, from a variety of manufacturers. No appreciable leading. It has quickly become my favorite ammo burner.

    Nice review. I like the look of the gun and would love to buy it. However, I sent Sig an email (1/15/24) and asked if they had gotten all the bugs out of the gun and they never replied. If a company can't even endorse their own product that tells you all you need to know. Plus I remember the Sig Mosquito and what a POS it was and how Sig never addressed any of the issues that gun had.

    • @SabertoothDefenseSystems
      @SabertoothDefenseSystems  5 місяців тому

      I agree. It’s important for them to endorse the product and stand behind it during the long term. To play devils advocate, I’m sure they get so much hate mail/trolling/or spamming. It’s not likely any manufacturer will answer a question like that, as it’s questioning the integrity of their product. While I do agree with you as far as asking for transparency so that you don’t waste your hard earned money, most manufacturers will not admit that problem products had problems in the beginning, so I wouldn’t ever expect an answer to that question from any manufacturer you send it to. UNLESS that company came out publicly with an announcement anckowledging problems with one of their products. Desert Tech as an example would probably be one of the only companies that I know of that would actually respond to a question like that, as they came out publicly, (ie. UA-cam) and said “yeah our product had issues, this is what they were, this is how we’ve changed it, and this is how we’re gonna make it up to you”.
      One of the things I’ve talked about in my POF Rogue review is that manufacturers commonly release new versions or different variations of their products constantly, but in the process change dimensions or update certain internals under the public’s nose, never admitting there was a problem in the first place. As an example, POF had the Rogue and a lot of people have had issues with it. Mine wouldn’t run reliably without an adjustable gas block, which was not included and had to be purchased separately. I mentioned this in the video review. Well wouldn’t ya know? Shot Show 2024, they announce the Rouge in 13.75” barrel configuration.. which will then come standard with the adjustable gas block, and it looks like the Handguard has been updated. So they release a new “version” of the gun but it quite literally has updates to it that actually make it function properly. Rather than just come out of the gate and say, “hey guys sorry, we know this thing kind of sucks but we’re gonna fix it”.
      I’m not saying you’re wrong for asking that question to Sig. I’m just saying there’s no point in most cases, because these big manufacturers rarely show accountability. It’s a shame too because this is a fun little gun, and it looks good too. But I’d be amiss if I denied that many peoples copies of this gun have been riddled with issues! Thanks for watching!

Since I made these changes I have not had any jams and only one failure to fire.

    The Failure to fire is not the ammo. CCI never has that many failures. The failure is the adjustment to the firing pin. Send it back to Sig and they will adjust it . I had this issue also hyper velocity Ammon would stand straight up on last round .
    Last shot hold open didn’t work. I sent to sig and they fixed everything and turned around in less than a week . I know have about 500 rounds with 0 malfunctions of any kind .
    Oh yes they sent a stronger recoil spring to replace original to run hyper loads better . It worked great .

    Shot about a hundred rounds through a rented P322 and loved it. Considering purchase, but don't want a problem. Funny thing is, one or two fellows continued to have the leading issue even after multiple barrel replacements. Apparently the early produced guns were fine, but presumably as production rose, quality control issues emerged. Why Sig would keep putting out bad barrels mystifies me. Makes me think they don't know how to solve the issue or solving it would cost them more than continually replacing barrels, but they surely have damaged their reputation. Another thought I had after immediately switching back from the 322 to my own 9Ms, the difference in the experience was shocking even though I've shot thousands of 9m rounds before. The Sig 322 has almost ruined my experiences shooting 9Ms. 🙂 So, is .22LR a good training tool for anyone but a complete beginner? That said, the gun was so pleasant to shoot and so on target, I just might choose it as a self defense weapon if the ammo itself were reliable.

    My p322 will not slide lock and has 5% light strikes with all brands of ammo. The 20 round magazines work OK if you load them carefully but the 25 round magazines DO NOT WORK reliably. It is very accurate and has no leading problems. I probably will not buy another SIG product.

      It’s a great pistol in terms of features, but mine is headed back to Sig. I’m near 1000 rounds and still at 5-20% light primer strikes depending on ammo, and that is far from OK. No issues with failure to feed or leading - it just doesn’t strike the damn primers hard enough.

    I have shot 10’s of 1000’s of 22’s. They are usually reliable. I can go to a steel challenge match and usually shoot 150 plus with rarely any problems. CCI or Blaser are my favorite rounds.

    Mine is going back to the factory for the second time on Monday. Failure to feed. Failure to feed. Failure to feed. Then the occasional stovepipe to break the monotony of the failure to feeds. CCI, Federal Automatic Match, Aguila, Remington Golden Bullets, Winchester Super X and a few others. Averaging about six-eight malfs per magazine. And mine will not feed any hollow points.

      Well, got it back. Factory says they replaced the barrel. And it still jams. So, I bought two new mags. And the gun now works. Apparently, Sig is having problems with the magazines. And they haven't heard of anti tilt followers. And I watched the silly video. And it still didn't help. If you get good mags, you have a great pistol. If you get shitty mags, the pistol doesn't work.

    I'm not sure you know what MOA means. 1 MOA is about 1" at 100yards. At 25yards, 1 MOA would be 1/4", @ 200yards 1 MOA would be 2", etc. So what you're calling 2.5MOA @ 25yards(which would really be 3/8") with that Norma ammo is actually a 10MOA group

    Thanks for the review. Head up, you are using the term MOA when you should be saying inches. MOA is a measure of angle. 2 inches at 25 yards is 8 MOA. 2.5 inches at 25 yards is 10 MOA. Not a big deal, but for your consideration.

    Mine was made in February 2023 and I bought it in march. Depending on the ammunition I tried I got from very little leading in 200 or more rounds to the worst you ever saw in under 100 I’m talking leaded so bad it looks like a rusty sewer pipe and begins keyholing at 80-100 rounds. Worst ammo ever, Winchester 333. Never shoot it in this gun or really any other, unless you like to have to soak your barrel in lead remover for a few days before being able to even get a rod through the bore without driving it with a mallet.

      @@SabertoothDefenseSystems this seems to be one of the big things that all the videos about the p322 leading seem to have in common is this ammunition. I was shooting cheap bulk CCI unplayed lead the last time I went to the range and put 300+ rounds through it, barely any sign of leading.
      At the same time I was trying out the brand new Ruger wrangler 7 1/2” I bought the day before and figured I would shoot up the rest of the crap 333 in it. To my surprise they didn’t even want to load into the cylinder. The bullets seemed oversized and upon inspection and measuring with a micrometer they were over by a lot. I figure that’s causing over half the problem people are having with this gun and the leading issue. Shimming the hammer spring does help eliminate some of the misfires caused by light primer strikes, but as stated rimfire is not really known for its reliability and never has been. A perfect example of that is the original Henry .44 rimfire rifle having dual firing pins to help increase the reliability, and the fact that most of the original ammunition in modern collections bears multiple firing pin marks around the rim from re -tries.
      I’ve always wondered why no modern makers of rimfire guns ever adopted the dual firing pin system of the original Henry.
