      Congrats @Wes and the Intellijel team! Sounds incredible!
      I'd respectfully say that I think a standalone/non-euro version with USB MIDI would also be a nice addition to the Intellijel stable. Of course, one could also buy a skiff, a euro MIDI IO module and go about it that way as well but it'd be a lot more expensive as opposed to having it in a self-contained housing. I'm not sure how difficult it'd be to map the CV/gate functions over to MIDI output but anyways... a guy can dream!

    Not that this is not impressive but I'm most impressed by the presentation here. So clear, comprehensible, and fluent and fast but slow enough, and the talking through at the same time as the demonstrations, without any hesitant "uh's" or "eh's". I'll bet they asked Loopop to demo Space X.

    A great video as always! I had never considered this as a sequencer but as I build a small case I’m definitely finding myself interested. I’m hoping to find a good balance of immediacy, tactility, the ability to jam with it, and also happy accidents that come from more in depth exploration. This definitely seems to be aiming at that spot! Right now I’m using a beatstep pro which is great but I would love to be able to see the settings of knobs for melodies vs peering into the tiny screen.

    The way the two tracks are linked feels super awkward, hopefully there'll be a firmware update to switch through a single button which track the faders control, this looks awesome in every aspect otherwise! And a great clean demo video to go along with the release as always on your channel.

    • @intellijel
      @intellijel 3 роки тому +5

      @vgmandstuff1381 3 роки тому +5

      @@intellijel I've seen it in the video but it still feels like an afterthought to me, especially with the other switches. Clearly you have the capacity to have independent faders and switches positions with the preset feature, so I feel like the device would benefit from being able to select which tracks are being affected by the faders directly. (still a rad device though, well done!)

    How does the Metropolix handle transposition via CV in? One weakness of the Metropolis was the +-5v limit on the CV in, which made transposition at 1v/oct a bit of a pain (requiring additional module/s to track correctly).

    Ooh! And again I say, ooh!

    • @loopop
      @loopop  3 роки тому

      My guess is, and totally on behalf of myself without speaking with intellijel, is that there's no demand for it. There are some pretty obscure scales in here, I'm pretty sure quantization to other scales wouldn't be rocket science considering everything else going on here. Please feel free to link to good non 12TET music (hopefully it won't be blocked by UA-cam)
