    In the following link there is the second Steppy Video. In that Video i explore what you can do
    with Ratcheting, Tap Recording and the loop Mode Loopy which is not part of this Video here:

      Thank You Sir! For making the Module. I will most likely do another video on Ratcheting and Tap Recording ,,In Use''.

    Nice overview! One thing worth mentioning is that you can hold down the button on most of the EDIT functions like Swing and Probability to apply a setting to all tracks. Oh and you can also hold down the SELECT or EDIT buttons to quickly access parameters then exit the menu once you release the button.

    Can you only divide the clock? Or, can you also multiply?

    • @festuswilliams654
      @festuswilliams654 Рік тому

      Multiplication is a very tricky thing to achieve because the module cannot see ahead in time and usually need a steady clock. Division is far easier to implement.

    Thank you for the video. I have a question that I am not sure you talked about in the video. When I start my sequencer (its a hybrid system ableton and getting clock from toraiz squid) my entire sequence on every device starts from beat 1like it should...except the Steppy? Is this a setting? I think its the RST setting, but I am not sure what wire goes to the RST in? Very new to this can someone please help, Thank You

    Stay simple. Too complicated for a person that just bought it. You are an expert. I just got this out of the box. Just want to make it run 4 tracks.

    Super useful tutorial- I thought… I bought this module, partly on the grounds that this video made it seem super-easy. Big mistake. This has got to be the most complex and baffling sequencer I have ever encountered. After several hours poring over the manual I finally got a sequence playing, but in addition to making it seem easy to use, this video doesn’t mention that Steppy is incompatible with perhaps the most useful clock in Eurorack- Pamela’s New Workout- and therefore probably every other clock in the game. I have no idea what standard it works to, but it is NOT 24ppqn, which I was always led to believe was universal. Pam’s only goes up to 300bpm, at which tempo Steppy is still sluggish, and as it only has a clock divider option (no multiplier), sluggish is as fast as it will go.
    As an illustration of just how complex this thing is, the manual comes in at a stonking 39 pages. The Qu-Bit Bloom manual is half that length. Behringer’s 960 has a manual of just two pages- though admittedly the typeface is tiny. Be warned. Be careful. Don’t be fooled by a misleading video about a gate sequencer that can barely break into a trot. Unless of course the one I have is faulty, in which case I will be having my money back, thank you…

      you probably need a better clock, something like the Apogee PSX100.

      I have a Pams and it clocks my Steppy just great; Steppy is *not* incompatible with Pams. Pams is a super solid and very versatile clock. Nothing personal, but it seems you don’t know how to use your Pams. Any channel on Pams can output a clock of whatever speed you like. Just go into the edit page for that channel, and give it a faster subdivision. It’s that simple. If you don’t know how to edit individual channels, it’s super easy. The manual is great, and there are lots of tutorials including a great one by Divkid. Happy stepping!

      You must be missing something. I'm using Steppy together with PNW quite satisfactory. I hope you've figured it out by now! :)
