This definitely answers a lot of my questions I'm running a Samsung neo g9 and was thinking of getting this LG FLEX but I'm torn between Brightness and monitor refresh rate over 1000nits on my g9 as well as 240hz its just Samsung is a buggy mess so I was thinking of trying LG.

The Samsung is QLED so your blacks won't be as deep. This panel is between 800-900 nits, so while it doesn't reach QUITE as much peak brightness, I'm not sure you'll really notice. Unless you are in a VERY bright environment most of the time, the Flex is going to be the winner. You also have the option to go flat when you want, and have different levels of curve. I find some games better with more/less curve depending, and you can adjust to taste with this one.
I personally find any refresh rate beyond 90 to hardly make any perceptible difference. 120 is plenty smooth already. Unless you are top 1% in high-reaction FPS flickshot games like counterstrike or various battle royale games, anything beyond 120 is going to have 0 impact on your success.
      EDIT - actually your Neo G9 isn't even QLED - i was loooking at a different G9
you will see a MASSIVE improvement in the image and contrast when you switch. Moreso with an OLED than a QLED
Edit 2 - apparently there is a Neo G9 LCD and a Neo G9 QLED - mega confusing

also that samsung is 32:9 - so you're going to be using a lot more GPU to push out frames, so it narrows down what is going to actually hit 240Hz. If you want to push a refresh rate that high in everything as your priority, you should get a lower resolution monitor.

When you change the screen size to a 32in or a 27inch, does it change the resolution and hz from 4k 120hz to a lower resolution?

if you're talking about the ultrawide and super ultrawide yes it is lower resolution

I bought one a couple of months ago. Overall it's a fantastic monitor, but I can't figure out how to turn off the auto brightness adjustment feature where the monitor dims the screen if too much white is displayed. Also, I can't figure out how to disable the auto shutoff feature if you're not using your computer for awhile. Finally, I'd like to turn off the feature where it automatically switches to it's internal screen saver mode (with the firework animations). Based on some of the reviews of conventional LG OLEDs, this monitor has more restrictions on what you can do with those features (like turn off Eco mode). Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
I have the latest firmware installed.

Hey nice vid thanks!! Why when I change the hdmi input to pc mode the WebOS UI responds reallly really laggy and slow (not games) only the ui works like Sh!t it’s really annoying how to fix this? The pc mode is mandatory for better text clarity but this UI stutter and lag destroy the experience! Will be glad if you help me!
