Cool! Ever since I was a boy, I dreamed of a room with a screen on one wall and a 35mm projector for full movie viewing, so I'm happy to see this; though I won't be buying one anytime soon. Taking the road of better and better home viewing/movie experiences. Regular theaters can barely compete now, this is just one more nail.
great video ! dreaming tv! link for the wallpaper ?
38" 21:9 version please. Better yet, why don't manufacturer's produce 2:1 ratio screens? That would be a fantastic middle ground between 16:9 and 21:9 monitors, creating a nice balance between gaming/content watching and productivity.
Mine’s just arrived - it’s wild! I loved when curved TV’s were all the rage a few years ago - awesome immersion for gaming. This thing feels like the perfect gaming tv for a gameroom right now
where did you get yours, it's sold out everywhere and I'm in Canada
@@soyebiadebola8029 direct from LG - in the UK
how much did u pay
@@AppIeOfficial around £3k can’t remember exactly. Think I got some discount by signing up
*You are 2014 Late Bech, My OLED 5K FLEX 77 inch LG FLEX TV 3D here at home still Rocks the World.*
Iv been trying to buy one but they keep saying it sold out? Are they coming back in stock anytime soon?
No display port? Also, like the LG TV. does it have local diming when using it as a PC?
Any issues with burn in? I have an LG Oled TV and it has burn in just as bad as a plasma tv I used to own. I only played games on it for a couple weeks and I still see the games’ HUD burned in at the top and bottom of my Oled TV.
I'm trying to know if LG flex 42LX3Q6LA model would allow multiple HDMI input for multi view? The manual is vague, and this can help me make the purchase decision.
Looks very cool. I’ve been waiting for an OLED computer monitor for a long time, but I will have to wait until the price comes down. I have been using a curved monitor for a long time now and I actually do like it for the Ultra Wide screen monitors. It’s nice when can also be flat.
Yeah agreed, especially combined with whatever anti glare it’s using. I’ve heard that if you’re dealing with a lot of sunlight pouring in and glares hit a curved screen they bend and occupy more screen space than they would on a flat equivalent.
I'm interested to know the white shark display piece at 3:13
I have a curved 21:9 monitor from LG and I love it. IMO a curved screen doesn't make sense with a 16:9 screen. Flat is better. This monitor seems excessively expensive, and the motorized bending screen will get old quick after you show it off to your friends.:)
I second that. With a curve the perceived aspect ratio goes down to something like 15:9 or 14:9.
I agree with this being excessively expensive, but I do see the curve being useful for a monitor this size. I have the 42 inch C2 and wouldn't mind it curved in due to the sheer width
Curved for gaming guys. The immersion.
That is awesome! But I just bought a 42 inch C2 for $800. It would be hard to justify that extra cost no matter how cool it is
attaching a C2 to an adjustable mount and sound bar is still cheaper than this new flex monitor 😂
Time for new monitor! USE the 42" for email....
I bought the c2 48 and q710b samsung soundbar 1500 euro together so half the price from this 👍😁
How did you get the c2 for 800?
@@Tychoe1 it was on sale at Best Buy when I bought it
The bend is pretty good!
Full immersion for FPS and
No distortion for RTS like StarCraft.
I was able to compare an Odyssey Ark with a flat Oled.
But for this much money i'd like 48" 240 Hz.
And a 18:9 format would be amazing!
I am waiting for a real 4k OLED with 120hz, HDMI 2.1, HDR, Dolby Vision, and VRR....
@@michael-4k4000 As opposed to a fake one?
Might as well build your own monitor.. Lol!
Make that a 21:9. 😁
Okay THIS is the perfect monitor
Incredible
What they're failing to tell you when you use it as a monitor. When it goes to sleep it goes to a 10 minute wallpaper mode before it goes to sleep and then the screen returns to flat when the computer goes to sleep. When you move the mouse to wake it up it goes back to the curve and when you turn the TV off every time it goes flat. So it's a no-go for me. I'm sending mine back
yo, im not buying it, but those three things you mentioned anoyed tf outta me, those should be customizable settings by the end user. did u return or kept it
@@JCEFJEPP24 I returned it and did not miss it at all. I bought the KTC G42P5 and still love it.
Quite innovative!
apple might steal it though
Great 👍
LOVE IT. But, I wish that LG would not have stopped making their smartphones because they had the best audio and visual features of all the other brands.
Esperaré a que la tengan con opción de ponerla en posición vertical, 8K y más fps en 4K : D
Maaaaaaan! I was super excited about this until I realized it didn't have a dp port and it is only 120hz... for $2500 It should be 144hz. Guess it's back to the pg42uq
What are the benefits of having a screen transition from flat to curved? Does LG really anticipate this will fill a dual role for being a monitor and regular TV?
for watching tv/movies ect flat is nicer but when its curved it makes a big screen easier to see since sitting up close your eyes can only see so much before your eyes has to move left and right to look around. its a 2 in 1 tv/monitor. nice to have
@@tuando8033 yeah I guess I just don’t see too much of a market for an all-in-one product.
Could the put this on a laptop, even if one needed to fold it yourself!
Do you know the input lag on this TV/monitor ?
1ms on the website
impressive tv! I hope samsung comes up with something similar with their own oled (qd oled)
Samsung tv stand nowhere near what lg is doing
Can't wait til it is more affordable and you had more adjustability and reliability
This is some innovative work LG... Please come back to mobile phones
He is intense
It's actually a reasonable price for all it can do. I like the idea of the screen flexing from flat to curved. And the lights are a cherry on top. I'm glad to see this is not some concept that you would normally see at Consumer Electronic Show, instead an actual product you can buy at the stores.
I’d rather buy an LG C2 77” instead lol for that money
For real
I don’t get how you can play so close.
this thing is a Gamechanger! and for $2500 is like free!
It's a TV, how can you call this a monitor when it doesn't have any DisplayPort input?
That base for the TV/monitor is too thick not the best for computer setup purposes.
@CnetHelping100 I will send you my Social Security number as well.
I love this. New tv oled flex.. I only haite the price.. Ahaha
Peace
I brush my teeth in the reflection of my c1 in the morning
Lg, please make it 8k.
What's the point of a curved monitor?
Encapsulation
This must be why Samsung pushed its not-ready-for-prime-time 55" Ark out the door before it was ready. I have an Ark and I hate it.
This is a good Console Monitor. As a G9 Neo owner and PC Gamer 120hz is just too low. 🤷🏿♂
How.many.console games gp.over 120hz?
@@chillnspace777 Dunno. Haven't owned one since the 360.
Most 4k games can't go over 120. 1080 looks bad on it so don't get it.
this or the Samsung ARK?
Crypto spam has reached UA-cam comments now ... Sad !!
I’d rather get the Samsung Odyssey Ark
How does that work?
Will be glad to hear from you.
There are QD Oled monitors out plus 45 Oleds out at cheaper price. Nobody cares about gimmick curve
Throws money at the screen
just buy 3 curve monitor, you could get a 180° View.
42" is still too small.
We need 4k 55" and 65" monitors.
85" 😂
Cool, but I'm satisfied with my C2 that I got for 899. Not seeing anything here worth an extra 1600 dollars
it bends and unbends automatically . It’s definitely worth it lol
Skyworth introduced the same thing years ago
...stop over hyping
What is the practicality of this? OLED already has fantastic viewing angles
For this kind of monitors u need generally 2 desktops. One for the monitor and another one for you. That is how I use my 48 inch ultrawide Samsung.
Why?
Needs 240hz, USB-C and lower price
Another product for the media, gamers don't care about this
Good evening Justin tech..s
Happy new year, God bless you, please send me an oled flex monitor... thank you, all the way #40 Elechi beach mile one diobu port Harcourt Nigeria
Why TF would anyone care about their tv or monitor bending lol. I’d never spend that much just to watch a monitor bend 🤣
When oled does not have burn in talk to me otherwise nice toy.🙄
For that much money, it needs also a Display Port.
2500 )))
No USBc!!!! What a disappointment. A monitor of this magnitude should have at least a few. Not worth getting anymore
🇨🇦📉📝🎁🏘️💰💰💰💰💰💎💎💎💎🎄
Just give us a 42-in curved OLED one curve 1400 would be perfect. 900 too aggressive
👁👄👁
Screen flexing is overrated
Unnecessary feature ngl
$2500? No thank you
What’s the point of this .. just get a LG UltraGear
This is great for the 3 people on earth that want to pay more for it. Now LG make a monitor that completely removes ABL. NOw that would be great but only for the 1100. You pretty to be pretty **** to pay 500 more than the price of two 42 inch oleds.
Another gimmick
Tiny for a TV, and not wide enough to go curved really - more of an unnecessary fad.
No USB Type C port?? Lame!!
That tv does have a usb port did you watch the video 2:45
An over priced gimmick.
Meh
Curved monitors are gimmicks to trick deep pockets PC builders into spending more money. PC monitors are more immersive because it’s so close your face than a TV. This isn’t a review, it’s an Ad. 😅
LGs WebOS isn’t very good. It’s, slow and buggy. I know it’s on my LG TV. Roku or Google TV is far better. LG TVs absolutely needs a streaming device. I have Apple TV hooked up to my LG TV.
This is in no way unique or new. LG and Samsung showed curved oled tvs at CES ten years ago. They also already made some motorized curving units since then.
Tell us about another TV that does the same thing… there isnt one, making this the definition of unique.
You‘re such a mron Mikko
This guy slow we know curved monitors been around but this one right here there is nothing out there period that looks like this. Like I’m really impressed and if there is leave us a link to prove your theory. Take your time
LG just destroyed everyone in Display!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
