Gyasi was such a naughty girl. Tayari and Jabali are the same. Naughty, but loving as well. Tayari looks so much like her and so does Jabali. Kiango looks the picture of daddy BaoBao. Nemsi is a very surrugate mother to Kiango and he loves her. We miss Gyasi so much.
Kiango definitely looks like his daddy and as he's got older the similarities have only become more pronounced. He's going to be a big silverback one day just like BaoBao. BaoBao just looks frail because of his cardiac issues, if he didn't have those I think he'd be pretty massive. Kiango while looking like his dad, I think has Gyasi's spirit and fun nature. While she was taken way too soon. I'd like to think that she rests a little easier knowing that Nemsi loves and cares so much for her precious boy and that she'll always keep him safe.
I have been watching gorillas for years-the 3 zoo's in japan ,and know all their families, including the daughters Iriki and Tayari and their children at the Taipei zoo with D'Jeeco. This is my second favorite compared to the D'Jeeco family except that this one has the monterbey monkeys as well, so maybe it is my favorite. Glad Nemsi is taking caring of Kiango. Gorillas are such special creatures, like elephants. Loved the video where the monkey jumped on kiango's back, after mom put Kiango on her back, hilarious. Thanks for the video's, they always make me smile.
Yes we do get around. My fave is D'jeeco troop, particularly Ringo who has the most soulful eyes. I'm sure we will run into each other again, happy gorilla watching.🦍
So Gogo been fearless and adventurous from the beginning, he'll have no problem mixing it up with Moto now! Thx for the earlier video of the lil bowleg Cowboy, recently started watching this troop on a regular basis, I'm hooked!
These are always fun videos but I especially appreciate the narration explaining the ranking backstory. This adds a layer of nuance to this encounter that I wouldn't have fully appreciated without it.

Gyasi got a bacterial infection that caused her death. The zoo vets could not help her.
