- Two days ago it was Kiango his birthday! He became one year old. And although we missed the first few months of his life due to lockdowns. I am happy to see I was able to document so many of his first year. I hope you'll enjoy this compilation video!

Oeh good question. Gyasi is the mother of Tayari and Kiango. And Jabali is a son of Tayari. So yeah you might see a resemblance of the mothers line. But I think Kiango is Jabali his uncle so yeah indeed Jabali is the nephew XD.

Heard of gelding horses but not gorillas.I think they use birth control similar to human birth control

@@cherokeeheartct8633 I used the word "geld" more for effect than anything. But this is not birth control it is de-sexing an animal like some people do to their cats and dogs. In more barbaric times this used to be done to humans and they were then known as eunuch. To do this to a gorilla is unthinkable.

I forget how small and vulnerable the baby gorillas were at one time. I love seeing this stage of the babies. I don't worry because the are blessed with wonderful mothers and strong, watchful fathers. I guess that's why I don't think about each one daily any more. Great video. Heart warming.

Kiango and Jabali look so similar and are so independent at such a young age. it so wonderful to see him exploring his surroundings and being socialized in to his environment. both Mother and daughter have similar style of mothering that is often debated but when you see how the young are thriving, their style of parenting works for them. People criticize Tayrari my beautiful girl without knowing how she was raised. She has such a lively personality and she is very good at socializing her son. Gorillas are highly intelligent animals and we should not criticize but be more willing to learn from the video's engagements.
I agree, people who criticize Tayari and her way of motherhood don't know that much about gorilla moms. We have a lot in common, but not everything is the same. I made a video about it, you can see a baby gorilla is doing well when 1. it is growing (it is getting enough breastmilk, otherway he wouldn't grow) 2. It has no scars and so.
And every gorilla develops in it's own time, just like kids. Good to read you also see a good mum ;)
Totally agreed. People just don't make sense sometimes. They keep on comparing animals to us human. Cyberbullying an animals is even worsed than bullying a human being. Those double faced toxic people should be ban from commenting.
I totally agree with you. I seldom look at the comments these days. The only way I can enjoy watching the wonderful interaction between these animals, is not to see some of the ignorant comments, which can be quite upsetting.
Not sure how you know Tayari is under a lot of bullies from human here. I tried to inform people who upload Tayari's videos in Taiwan to carefully choose the words for their videos, so Tayari will not be be judged for her motherhood, still a lot of evil comments posted! I love Tayari more trying to defend her and watch her every move.. She really is full of energy, smart, a beautiful girl, hate to see she is bullied by human and I can not protect her more!

Luckily she doesn't know she's being bullied. and does humans who say bad things about her, don't know enough about gorilla's I guess. If she would have been such a bad mom, Jabali wouldn't have made it as far as he is now. just enjoy the videos ;), don't worry to much about the people is my advise
