Huge Dutch style with every type of vibrant and colourful plants I could find. A beautiful carpet of Monte Carlo in front. Good collection of stem plants. It would look awesome from top view.

A nice large piece of wood, protruding about the waterline, lovely rocks locking it down, Frodo stone, with emerged and submerged mosses on it. Terrestrial plants on wood out of water and loads of emerging aquatic plants, Buce’s and Anubias all over the wood. Incredible tank bet you are over the moon with it!

Shallow tanks are amazing. I love the mini pond looks. My favorite tank is a 2 gallon shallow by UNS for my shrimp. So peaceful to look at.

Yes! Shallow it is! Would love to see some emersed plants in it. Probably makes my knew shallow tank look sad but that's only my second scape ever, so I love to learn and get inspired with new ideas.

The big shallow is awesome! The name suits it perfectly! Love the dimensions, really makes an impression on you as you walk in the room. I like that you stepped out of the norm and went for something different. I'm interested to see how the plants will look with the dimensions of the tank. It may present some challenges, you don't want to take away the impressive length. Curious to see your choice of plants and hardscape. I like the frosted background. I've seen frosted backgrounds with background lighting, very interesting. It adds some depth and shadowing effects. Have fun!

Great Tank MJ. With a shallow tank you could go for a beautiful Iwagumi setup with rocks and a llimited number of plant species. Clean and minimal, like the tank. What do you think?

Wow it looks very clean and high quality. I love the dimensions too. I think it would make an amazing reef tank and would contrast nicely with your rack of nano aquascapes, but I don't think that's your intention. I'm sure whatever you do it will turn out awesome. 👍

Great! The detailed documentation for the new aquarium is similar to a withdrawal program for me because I have no more space for another tank atm :-)
I like the shallow tank. I would go for Hardscape that reaches out of the tank. Maybe even Stones and wood above the waterline. The pendant light would be also perfect for that.
Or even a emers plant parts in one or two corners of the tank would be interesting.
I guess you will scape it nice 😉

Finally watched this video 😂 no YouTubing on vacation! This is amazing Mark and I’m so happy for you! Exactly the size I would get since I think shallow is better! I can see big pieces of wood coming out of the top and emerged growth! Maybe Monte Carlo or HC Cuba growing on the wood in the water and up out of it! Can’t wait to see how you scape it! I think you should do some sort of Poladarium but with loads of detail something like those at green aqua with loads of shrimp and nano fish maybe idk if you notice many youtubers get loads of views when people do aquariums for shrimp from my understanding thats what people are very interested in..:)
Nice tank. Why are you using a bucket and pump to fill your aquarium? Can't you just attach the hose to the kitchen tap?
I like to do it this way so I can feel the water temperature without having to walk to the tank that I'm filling up. And also because I don't have the special adapter for the kitchen tap 😄

Nope! This is the 300 cabinet which is 121x51. I think you might have the 240.
what pump and hose size do you have that fits together into your tubing to pump the water?

In my shallow, pogistemon erecta is one of the most beautiful flowering plants.
If you want some special terrestrial plants like some small ferns, sanginella mossens and even a tiny orchid, I could sponser you some. (Not looking for credits here, just like to support your channel) I have a plant shop in Amsterdam.
Welk soort folie gebruik je op de achterwand? Is dit zandstraalfolie of is dit nog iets anders? Ik zou ook zo eennachterwand willen, maar mijn zandstraalfolie die ik nu heb is niet zo wit.

Howdy... New subs here.. I have accumulated and collected fish manure and other waste (black soil thingy...) from DIY planted aquarium (old fridge box).. Now, can I use them as first layer substrate then covered with aquasoil?
Yes you can! But maybe better to cover it with sand, because it's a bit heaver and more compact. The aquasoil might still leak some manure which will cause algae

Yo MJ.... top tank...I guess with around 25 cm of glass left (after the substrate)... any stem plants will be crazy to cut every few days because of the high light intensity (unless you decide to dim the tank)... Let those stem plants grow immersed and have a banging carpet of glossostima... Triangle composition with a small beach (sand)...in one corner! or side! Amazing.... loads of wood too and 25% stones...
