Nice tank. I've have a 45U and a 60U standing around, and watching videos like these gives me plenty of ideas on how they should look in the (hopefully not too distant) future! 👍 And... subbed. 😀
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours! Nice job. Sweet, simple and utterly natural. PS: I envy you that UNS is sending you merch. They are my favorite company in the hobby.
That turned out really nice! I need to try doing a shallow aquarium like that myself. It looks like a fun challenge. You can count me as a new subscriber! Well done!
Frank! I said it before and I’ll say it again, your content is amazing! Your tank builds are so unique, I’ve noticed you are into cars as well (so am I) would love to see some car content too.
I appreciate this so much! Such comments make my day😊 Well i sometimes share stories on the gram but i dont want to give the fish people to much car spam. If you are ever interested to see something special like GT or formule cars send me a dm.
@@frankeyjones.aquascapingThat is what I'm talking about Frankey , and to be honest I was fortunate to get the UNS 90B from my LFS almost entirely for trading some of my Red Cherry Shrimp. I'm sure glad to see what you created since I was just wondering how to make the most of the length but the very small space front to back was giving me a lack of inspiration.... Until watching and now I'm sure it makes sense to use your layout from the back corner with the Cypress and the way you created the elevation is the only thing that I have had since last Saturday when I got home. So thank you for another incredible video for sure and I will be getting everything ready for my 1st ever Caradina Shrimp.
First of all thank you😊 and ive seen tbe 90b which is a challenging size i have to say! Maybe you can do more with the height or maybe get some acrylic making a wall?
Well i’m not planning too😂 moving aquariums isnt really my hobby hehe. But if needed, drain it , put some wet paper towel on the plants and keep it straigt. But I have to say these hakkai stone weight a lot!
So for this tank I'm using a oase filtosmart 100 thermo, the lillypipes are from proaqua a brand that sells them on aliexpress. cheap and not that long.
Wow this looks amazing! The great variety of different plant species really gives it this natural esthetic. Btw for future reference, please say scientific names, instead Latin names. It's a very minor thing, but as a biologist I try to set straight this misconception everywhere I can.
Thanks! I did want to place a colocasia black magic in there but i sadly only got the bulb😂 sorry maybe this sound dumb but is the latin name mostly the scientific name? Otherwise teach me✌🏻
Oehh I'm sure a colocasia would look amazing when it starts to sprout. Should be quick enough with ampel light and warmth. Yes so "Latin names" are the same as the "scientific names". They are often used interchangeably, even though only one is a correct term. The misconception stems from the fact that at the start of the Linnaean nomenclature system (yes very expensive words) it was decided to use Latin grammar to form scientific names. They also mostly used Latin and Greek words to form the names. But in modern times loads of scientific names use words from loads of languages, local dialects etc. So calling them Latin names is technically not the correct term to use. Even though most people won't notice the difference.
Really appreciate it! So now i only wonder if the names that they sell the with are correct or also latin 🤷♂️ anyhow again thanks! Love to learn stuff like that
@@frankeyjones.aquascaping yes those names are correct. The names are the same whether you call them scientific or Latin doesn't matter. It's only that the one word is truly correct word, and the other one is incorrect in regards to science. And no problem I can enjoy teaching people who are willing to learn.
Yeah those stones are massive but the is still a body of water which looks smaller on video, (24liter minimum)i’m planning shrimps for this tank first, maybe a goby in the future but it has to be nano
There’s plenty of space to several types of nano fish. The Croaking dwarf guramy is the first to hit my mind, but there’s also plenty of space for a pair of Honey Guramy and a school of Chili Rasbora.
I measured the water body and its roughly 24L or more, i wouldnt advise honey gourami’s because they might get bigger, but nano fish would be a possible. Im personally thinking of one or 2 goby’s and obviously shrimp. I do know this subject is delicate because we dont want fish in tiny bodies of water so i get comment above.
I just love the main stone. Looks like a sad dog😂😂
Haha thanks, so many people say it looks like a dog😂
Great build - can-t wait to see it grown in
Thanks! Will give it an update soon
Love the rock and plant choices. This is one of my favourite tank dimensions, great job!
Awesome work frank! Glad to see your hard work is paying off 🎉
Thanks mate!
So cute! Love the gravel selection
thats impressive. Very natural looking
Beautiful work...bravo!
Mega schön geworden 👍🏼
Great tank! I’ve had one of these for almost a year now.
Thanks! I regret not getting one sooner😂😅
I love how the main stone looks like a face with eyes looking right at you lol
Hahah i didnt even see! But you are the second person telling me😊 it looks a bit like a dog right?
honestly I like the aesthetic, it's like one of those ancient ruins or aztec statues that got overrun by plants and vegetation
I was just about to say the pareidolia rocks are getting me
Awesome set up! Doing a shallow tank for my next build and this is definitely some great inspiration 🙏🏼 can’t wait to see it fill out
Ah thank you so much! Always good thing to inspire eachother
What a lovely build I will see you’ve got some very great looking rocks where the handpicked or just randomly order from the shops?
Thanks man! I was in contact with both stores because they are friends so handpicked with whatsapp video / pics haha
Looks great! Love shallow tanks
That looks pretty amazing!!!!!
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much! And go for it! Aquascaping is giving each other ideas how to build more epic stuff right!
Gorgeous shallow 💕
Thank you😊✌🏻
really a nice shallow tank 😊
Thanks!
i got one 60x35x18 as well, love the shallow tank!
Thank you, personally my fav size for now
Is a 30 cm long one is non-shallow? 100X50X30(h) is what I am planning
30cm high is a shallow in my eyes if its a meter long
Great scape. I've just started setting up a Blau 60cm shallow tank, this has given me some great ideas, thanks! Subbed
Thanks! Really appreciate that!
Outstanding build, my friend, looks beautiful! I’ve just found your channel, so will definitely subscribe. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful work!
This is exactly what I’ve been imagining for my next aquarium probably won’t turn out as good as this, though
Hey don’t talk down on yourself you can do this! ✌🏻
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours! Nice job. Sweet, simple and utterly natural. PS: I envy you that UNS is sending you merch. They are my favorite company in the hobby.

I think good contact and just keep working will get you such sponsors in the future. ✌🏻

Hey thank you so much, yeah i really enjoy these shallow sizes myself but the 60s has plenty of space which makes it better
Looks great! Therefore I would't mind some extra footage/overall look of the finished tank 😉
Already working on it😊

Haha I didnt realize until people starting telling me that😂 and thanks!
Ok.. beautiful...
Its good for shrimps ... ,🦐
Greetings from Mexico... 🎉
Thanks alot!
Amazing work 🤩
Well thank you!
Fantastic👊
Very nice shallow Tank, thank you very much for this inspiration.
Come any snails or shrimp inside the Tank?
Thank you! Yes , its now the home of 2 goby’s but im on the lookout for some cool shrimp😊
@@frankeyjones.aquascaping for example Malawa Shrimp - Caridina pareparensis parvidentata
They are good against algae and not so noticeable in photos.
Great aquarium. Keep it up. Just subbed.
Thank you so much!
This is awesome!!
Bedankt Arne!
Would you mind what the name of grass ,the first you planted.. thx 🙏🙏
Sure, cyperus alternifolius.
They are also in the description if you need them😊✌🏻
Okay,thank you 🙏🙏
nice content man keep it up
Those metal lilly pipes are they specific for a shallow or would standard sets work? Thanks.
Scape looks fantastic well done 👍😁
The size is perfect for shallows or nano tanks, i wouldnt get normal pipes because they will hit the bottom.
And thanks!!
Great video ❤❤ subbed👍👍
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Such a cool build! Might I ask what brand / model the lily pipes are? I also have a 60cm shallow, but I'm struggling to find lily pipes that will fit.
Thank you so much, i found the on Ali, called aquapro and they do sell them in different sizes! So far so good really love them
@@frankeyjones.aquascaping I see! Thank you very much. Just ordered the 16mm short ones for myself.
Only missing the skimmer but maybe i’ll find a nano for that
Do you have a link for the Lilly pipes please?
a.aliexpress.com/_EzvMm5D
How do you move this, if you had too ? Or is it now stuck there because of the rocks heaviness and the glass that can break on the bottom?
Well i’m not planning too😂 moving aquariums isnt really my hobby hehe.
But if needed, drain it , put some wet paper towel on the plants and keep it straigt. But I have to say these hakkai stone weight a lot!

How much does all the soil and stones weigh?
I have no idea😂 didnt put the tank on a scale🤷♂️
About how many pounds of stone did you use?
So the rock are really heavy!
I ordered 16 kg but have some leftover.
So let say 27 pounds

Its in the description, google UNS60S
update? :)
Making a new video😊sorry for keeping you waiting!
Looks nice... i thought you should've left the deeper part with just sand ... imo
❤🎉
With Hungarian subtitles please. Thanks
I will do my best adding subs to my next video😊
Nice without fish. But too small if that's your intention. The stones and soil occupy even more swimming space.
