Wild 1996 Kawasaki KX250 2 Stroke Project Build RAW - Dirt Bike Magazine

For this RAW video we take look at our latest 1996 Kawasaki KX250 2 stroke build we did with the team at Western Powersports. This project is all about building a bike that the average working man could afford to purchase, build and maintain without going into the poorhouse. We teamed up with Western Powersports for the products and Moto One Of Boise Idaho did most of the heavy lifting when it came to turning wrenches.

IvicaKX450 and it sounds like it is working very hard even on the flat level sections. It’s making a lot of noise but doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere quickly.

IvicaKX450 its an older bike with a mellow power band, I own one of these bad boys myself same year and all. I can say that she makes a lot a noise but doesn’t move to fast like bikes of our day. Don’t get me wrong she’s a fast bike but her powerband is mellow all throughout the gears and rpm range

I'd buy that 96 *"KX250"* long before I ever look at a Kawasaki dealership for anything with a KX in the name!
I'll take the *"F"* that they left off the 4-stroke models to say I'm *F* K N done with any new kawi.
Only a 2-stroke will lure the money out of my pocket...

@@mxgryan not like they used to buy bikes when they're over twice the price from what they used to be... I remember when you could buy a new 250&125 for 5k together with cash because they were the prior year's models.
That was 2002.

Would have been a totally different test if it was wet out the hills where kinda of soft so it was talking a lot of power to get up them but still very nice test of a older bike.

I agree, that's what I was riding in high school... Hard to believe how much they looked and back then I was so damn picky for nothing. I like straight back fenders, but this was pretty darn straight, looks really good.
