Tried to find the handles everywhere. Joann's, Amazon, Google search, Ebay, Hobby Lobby, etc. They appear not to exist anymore. What would you suggest as a substitute?

For handles, you could use cord or heavy ribbons and sew on
You can buy 2 place mats and use one as the handles ,thats if you can sew 😂 blessing to all.💞💕💓

Glue gun works well for some people, steam-a-seam works for some, pins, wonder clips, not pinning at all. Whatever works best for whoever is making the item. Someone gave me placemats in a gift exchange, now I know what to do with them.
