Dana, I love your tutorials! You do such a great job explaining every step in a way that inspires beginners like me to sew fun new projects. Here's another request to add to your list: a swimsuit coverup with pom-pom trim. I've seen several tutorials but they don't explain it in a way that you could (they are either sloppy or don't explain it well enough). Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

Do you need a heavy duty machine to sew through twill tape and thick placemats like that?
It just depends how thick the placemats are. I have a standard consumer sewing machine. Just go slowly as you sew through the layers!
