These placemats are hard to find these days but got some on eBay. I did use a few to make “saddlebags” for a walker I used when I had hip replacement surgery and made a set for my aunt when she went to the hospital during COVID. They have been a tremendous hit! I used just a pocket for the sides and used 2 for the front. I folded them in such a way that created 3 tiers of pockets, the top was 2 pockets, next was 3 pockets and the lower had 4 smaller pockets. I attached these with a solid grosgrain ribbon about an inch wide and tied them to the walker. Beautiful!
You are so patient in teaching I love it I love it I love it thank you.Thank you for sharing
These remind me of the hair curler bag my Grandma made for me when I was a little girl. The curlers were in the big section. The bobby pins, comb and brushes were in the outside pouches. My mom had dipitydo and pink hair tape in hers.....lol. Yes, I am a baby boomer. haha.
P.J. Driton I remember the pink hair tape! 😂
Margaret Seaton and the dipitydo!
What we did to look beaitiful!!! Sleeping on curlers, ugh!!!
omg i love that!
I have made all of her bags and I love them. I have even made your most recent one. Thank you for sharing. I plan on trying to make this one with pockets on the inside.
Good idea!
Lorrie you are really so creative with these placemat projects! I love the colors and how easy these designs are to make! You have really cornered the design world on UA-cam with your Never Stop Making video’s! All of them are so fun to watch and are so easy to do! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us! Sincerely Katz Baugh
ILOVE this because it seems easy - its a project I can see myself actually doing. Thanks
I love this draw string bag, Lorrie! I think this would make a great over night bag or weekender bag, and also a nice bag to store skeins of yarn on the inside, and use pockets on the outside for your crochet patterns, hooks, measuring tape, etc. Gotta try this! I've already make your zip up bag, and use it for all my sewing/quilting notions! Thanks for another great idea!
Lorrie. Thank you so much for this series. I love all versions of these beautiful bags. Thanks again.

OMG, Lorrie... that is so cute!!! And, like you said... so versatile!!! I could even see it being a little girls bag to take for an overnight at a friend's or grandma's house. You've inspired me to try & see if I can't figure out something to make with a placemat. Can't wait to see what you come up with for version #7!!!
Just love version #6!
Great placemat videos. Watched them all and saved them! Keep them coming!! Thanks.
Thank you sew much on how you teach, you get to the point,, not much on going talking,,love all your videos
Hands down my favorite so far!! I have the placemats but need to pick up some napkins.
This was so fun to make!!! I have tons of mistakes in this first one but it’s still so cute! TFS such a great project. And it really was super easy! A good many times crafters say that and the project is anything but easy! I now need to get back to Walmart for more placemats! Lol.
I made one!! It turned out great. I did cut out 2 inch square corners, then just matched up .. easier for me .. then trying to find the center with it so bulky! Love it!
I'm loving every single one of them and I must try to make them 😁. Thank you so much for the tutorials😊.
Love this one, so simple. Thank you for the idea.😊
Oh so cute. Back to Walmart for more placemats. Thank you
Love this idea! I have a ton of placements that I bought, going to use them up! TFS!
Lorrie~ Be expecting this video to go viral~! Your directions are so easy to follow. Thank you!
Love these placemat tutorials!!! Thanks for sharing!
You have such wonderful easy ideas. Love your videos. Thank you so much!
Thanks for these clever, cute, and frugal placemat project bag tutorials! I think I might try to install a zipper to those "channels" you made for drawstrings, by sewing them (the folded fabric strips) to the insides of the top of the bag instead of the outside sides as you have done here. I may even install the zipper by hand (gasp!) using a running stitch twice (to mimic the look of sewing machine, and have two lines of stitching on each side to ensure that zipper stays put). This way I won't have to waste the nice scalloped edges I have on the Pioneer Woman placemats I was able to find in the WalMart here in Canada. Thanks again for the inspiration!

Wow, I just discovered your channel. I am so excited to make this amazing little tote. Your video was very easy to follow, fun and professional at the same time.
Genius!! Putting placemats on my shopping list
Wow!!! This is so awesome!!! Great Christmas 🎁. I’m on my way to the store. Thank you for sharing.
I was so intimated by the bag it looks so complex! Your tutorial is so good. Loving your videos during the quarantine 😁. I can’t wait to make some of these
Great projects for all levels of sewing experience! Thank you.:)
This would be great bins to store fat quarters or notions on bookshelves (probably without the rope).
Love the fabric you used 💕💕
Enjoyed this project.
So many different uses for this project. And made out of placemats, that will save money!! Can't wait to make it!! This is my favorite video.#Cricutlove
These are great Lorrie!
I’m thinking a size 90 needle would be even better. Love the idea. I’ve made the others. Can’t wait to try this one.
Can't wait to make this!!!
Thanks for this great tutorial! love your placemat projects
So cute and so easy!! Love this.
I love this bag it's so cute , you did a wonderful job ty for sharing
Love it! And I will be stopping at Walmart to get some placemats 😊
Love these, Lorrie!!! Thank you!💕
I use my walking foot on my sewing machine along with the stronger needle. I believe it helps move the thickness along. 😬
Love this ❤️. Can't wait to make this!!!!!!
beautiful & functional!
This is great! I can think of a lot of uses for this.
This is adorable!
love love this! it is wonderful and beautiful, and so very easy! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing how to make the place mate bag, so very easy to follow you.
Very nice bag. I will be making one soon. Thanks for the video.
Really enjoying your placemat videos! I have 5 granddaughters..... everybody gets one for Christmas😘
sister you weren't kidding about using a different needle. I used a "jeans" , but so darn cute. I broke one needle. But, I got it done! thanks again
What kind of machine do you have?
Love them and the mates!
How fun and easy, thank you so much for sharing.
Love it! Can’t wait to make one!
Love, love, love this ❤️😊
Love this. I’m going to Walmart tomorrow to get placemats so I can make it
Your prototype is fine! One side is for shorter things..other side is for taller things..if anyone said anything about it, there was a reason you did that 😉! Love this...gotta either make some placemats or get out and buy some..I can see making this and putting straps on it instead of drawstrings...how about a zipper on top and straps...my daughter wants one to carry her lunch and "stuff" for work in...you are a good teacher!!
UPDATE... cannot get this placemat..evidently not made anymore...my local Walmart had only square quilted ones in stock..had some that were not quilted, but I think the fabric is ugly...I ordered a pkg. online and when they came the back is red check with a blue pattern front..there was no back shown in the description when I ordered them..I hate the red check with the blue front which I do like..I might do it anyway, but ultimately to get what I want, I will have to make my own placemat or maybe find some other than pioneer woman and walmart...probably just make my own..my own fault--the video is 3 years old which I did not realize when I watched it...price is now 6$ each or $20 for set of 4 online...lesson learned
I would love to make this into a knapsack!! (Patti Ann- you beat me to it! Lol! )
Love this one best
You are my Wonder Woman 👩 🥰😘😍 thank you so much !
Great idea and it’s easy thanks
