    I went to KAPPA middle school in the Bronx and Brother Kaba (how we called him, never Mr.Kaba) used to teach social studies or be a substitute for teachers who were absent. He was one of my favs because he was so cool and into history just like me. He would say hotep and he taught me it meant “I come in peace” and I’ve always kept that with me because I love archeology and Egypt. He’s really always been this way. Glad to see he’s still spreading knowledge and positivity in the world.

    The Hotep brother is just a judgement by younger generations of people who don't understand what is it. It's so interesting what Mr. Kaba said about humor and men no wanting to submit. I'm genuinely funny and all my friends and family laugh at me all the time, but with men I've always noticed that they try hard not to laugh and or it takes them a long time before they begin to laugh at/with me. He dropped so m any gems.

    • @sinverrette9803
      @sinverrette9803 Рік тому

      Wow. I'm the complete opposite I'm naturally funny even when I'm serious. My humor and wit is what attracts men. They are naturally funny as well. If you can't make me laugh.. I can't deal with you.
      That has to suck to feel you've said something funny and not get a response.. men will definitely submit to who makes them want to .

    In my culture (Zulu or Nguni cultures) we don't have pronouns of 'He' or 'She'
    We prefix with the letter 'U' to refer to all genders, because there is an understanding that Umuntu ngumuntu full stop. That means a person is human before any classification. So there's no distinction of this is a 'He' or a 'She' until you mention their name. We do have titles but titles don't get to interfere with how we view sexes. People who choose to be homophobic in Africa today are held by the western Christian ideology without any understanding of their African history. In my clan we have men who are gay and healers. It's not a coincidence why our ancestors chose them to heal family and communal ailments physically or spiritually. Even men who are considered straight and are healers get entered-into by female ancestors to heal people in the physical realm

    A lot of black men cause the issues with the black women and THEN cry and say their toxic. Those black men are using that excuse as the justification to date other races women. The issue is the idea that was taught that men are the head of the household. Most men take that title to heart however aren't living up to what it means to being the head of the house and many who do take care of home come with the thoughts that because their doing the tasks as head of household he can have and see other women not being faithful. Those type of men believe since he takes care of home he can do whatever he wants. Women aren't taking that anymore. Lots of women are going out and doing for themselves and meeting men and holding their own. Finances aren't an issue so the men have to come to the table with faithfulness, honesty, respect and the real desire to be with her and if not she on to the next and men can't take the fact that the control they use to have isn't there anymore, so they're comfortable with finding desperate women. To USE and play with until she wakes up and has enough. These are men on paper however little entitled boys at heart. Shout out to the REAL men and women who know what they want and doing their thing. Much love
