Great broadcast. I started dating a black man in 1970. Back then it was not common. The white community really frowned on it. I attended a black church and guess what?? That Sunday the preacher preached AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE. I was shocked that I was in church hearing this. We eventually married and was together for 40 yrs.until Jesus called him home. God bless this couple with many years of love & happiness.
This is what America needs is more positive conversations with each other.
Look how she looks at him. That's the way a wife is supposed to look at and adore their husbands. That look adds years to life.

Unfortunately, many people think that interracial marriage is something new and it isn't. It's been going on for many years. Long before people thought about the idea of different races. This is why being educated and studying unbasied history is so important.

I love this! Her parents did a good job raising her. All parents need to raise their kids to teach them to be open minded. That will help people avoid negative/racist beliefs that harm people. Race isn't real. It's something humans created. We are all just people.

When hate and disrespect and judgment we see how violent this mind set is very dangerous to all of our survival. We are interconnected to each other.

This was interesting. As a Christian and black man in a 22 year old interracial marriage I'm always astounded how big a deal things like this is. I guess having grown up as a biblical Christian I'm used to being with all races. My parents were missionaries in the fundamentalist Baptist church so I know we are different than other denominations. Grew up in the south in 70s , 80s , college in south and north. It's just odd to hear these stories. It's just normal biblically, socially for me.
What? There has always been a problem with interracial couples. This nothing new!! The church people or Christians can be the WORST!!

Me too. Diversity is inherent in nature’s grand design-it’s part of everything and provides a rich fascinating universe. Race is a made-up construct to support control and exploitation. We must relate to the person and their character and qualities. We all want to be seen, loved and valued.

I want to thank you for this wonderful opportunity to see this racially / ethnically diverse family. We have to remember we are all part of Gods' family which in many different body images, but they're all made in his image. God's love comes from within not the color of your skin. P.S. your question culturally or ethnically biased or maybe stereotypical. However you were coming from a place of compassion (for the other person) or learning what's right to be inclusive.

This guy is great. It’s never been about the color of anyone’s skin color, but the culture was always difficult to get past. When Harris Faulkner was asked if she felt a responsibility in mentoring young, women of color, she responded ‘ I want to be a role model for all women. Sadly, she’s one of the few, shining lights in the our Country today.
No. We are not one race, we are different races. We need not lose that. How else am I going to teach my kids that Arabs were racists and took us as slaves across the Arabian Gulf after they conquered Carthage, Cyrene and Egypt? How else am I supposed to teach my children how Papal office or Pontificate turned a blind eye to our sufferings during the transatlantic slave trade? They never issued a single papal bull!
I need to teach my kids how to act with spirit of forgiveness and love towards the races that has hurt in the past. They will read about our history, but they need to be guided so that they don't repeat hate crimes.

As a Aboriginal American, People in Boston are very racist and in some parts they don't hide it. Racism is very real, it’s undeniable. How can a few people think that it will go away? It’s a sad reality and unfortunately couples and their children are the ones targeted.
I have watched several interviews of mixed couples and as much as they may love each other they are isolated and the children have identity issues. They are always having to shield themselves. Her parents concerns were on society as a whole. Jeremy is obviously a great gentleman.
It’s not only about knowing people on an individual level, it’s millions of people. Breaks my heart. Just like the song from John Mayer; keep on waiting for the world to change.
Yes, but the fact is that most people ARE NOT racist in any way and have no hate in their hearts. There will always be "ASSHOLES" who say stupid things, but that doesn't mean that MOST people are racist. I use compassion, consideration and understanding and there is no problem. when I hear Black people calling White people,, "Devils" or when White people may think that Blacks are "Criminals", I step back and look at the situation. First of all, people are very limited by what they see and hear. If a Black person has had a bad experience and wants to be dumb and make blanket statements, or when Whites do it, I completely understand that they are limited to their own experiences. People are very easy to understand if you take time out and really look at what they feel. This country is a place where White people LOVE Black celebrities and Musicians. We've had a Black President, voted in by White people . Oprah Winfrey is a Black woman who come from nothing. Now if she even mentions a news book on her show, It sell out overnight and the author becomes an instant millionaire. People in the USA are not racist, and we accept everyone. This is the one place, where a person from India with Dark skin can do anything. In their home country, there is a racist caste system which prevents them from ever going past a predetermined point. You can come here with dark skin, speaking no English, and yet with hard work, within ten years you'll join the middle class. You can't do that anywhere else on earth. I love America, unlike these brainwashed kids today.

Everyone wants a stress free life for their children and so it is less stress for biracial children than for black children with black parents.

So they asked you lots of questions everyone voted to hire you except the one person and this is an instance of racism where the one person is the highlight and not the vast majority who voted for you. They love each other very much. Their family upbringing made them good humans. Though it's polite and manners to call white or black in Western countries, I still don't like the white, black, wheatish, brown, yellow addressing to a person according to their skin. Well I just wish there wasn’t so much hate in this World. I was at the gym yesterday, in the pool; when a white male came in & was in disbelief that it was 1:30 PM & it was full! The man was agitated & I said “ Hey it’s Biden’s America, nobody works anymore.” He then called me a “White Supremacist.”

The commentator has issues around race. Check his response to the brothers telling of his story he asked to hear. Every White person should do the work to overcome inherent prejudices. This guy is no different than any other uncomfortable White men. Uncomfortable. Loving Black people literally means 'loving' our culture, 'loving' our people, understanding our struggle in the USA. The sin of racism in the church goes as far back to the times of apostles. Jesus had to deal with it. But it seems it never left us. It just shows how weak we are, to the point of hurting ourselves because of different pigmentation on our skins. It shows our ugly moral decay.

Interracial dating is not a sin plain and simple. There is nothing wrong with it in the Bible. The Bible does not support racism, prejudice, or discrimination. Happy that this discussion is going on in the church. Because if people in the church, following God or or born again christain whether black, white, hispanic or Asian are teaching your children or family to hate, not to associate with other people b/c of the color of thier skin for whatever reason, you will answer to our great God one day. Whatever you have to say, yr excuses will not change it. Weather you believe that you will answer to God or not will not change it. By the way who told you that yr color is better than the others. Jesus did confront this racial bias in Matt 15 :26-27, Luke 9:51-55. And it seems he even emphasized it in visions, ie Peter's vision in Acts 10,11. But it continued to plague the church because we see Greek widows not being taken care of as those of Jewish race in Acts 6:1.
Truth is this sin has hurt, not only the church down the centuries to be pure beacon of hope in the hopeless world , but it has also affected humanity at large so much that we have not reached our full potential.

Good for you, Elaine. However, people used the term "another race., which is not another race. There is only one race; that is the human race. However, from the human race came 5 main ethic groups. They are black, white, brown, yellow and red. We should to another culture of ethic not race. By the way, I am glad to see you step out of your ethic comfort zone and ate some other than what you have been used to. Black should not marry another black just because they are black and that goes for the other 4 ethnic groups (Acts 17:26).
Christianity was a major reason that we did and still do have racism in America and around the world. It’s caused so much division in many things that Jesus came to tear down.
Colonialism, and an imperialistic gospel spread the belief that God is a White old man, and that Jesus was a blonde and blue-eyed man. It bolstered the belief the closer you where to being White the better you where or are. Therefore, marrying anyone non White was stepping down or inferior. While marry anyone White was stepping up or superior. Sadly, it’s still present in some people and parts of the world. Thank God many people are finally moving away from that asinine belief.
Additionally, God could care less about who you marry. Just as long as they don’t turn you from your faith in God.
Great examples Moses and the Ethiopian woman-Genesis 12:1, and the Jewish and Greek woman Acts 16:1.
Furthermore, Jesus even said, after marriage this is it. There is no marriage in heaven.
If we are honest, there are couples who are married to someone of their same skin color and miserable. So, marry the person you love and are attracted to. Even if their skin color and ethnicity is different.
Sadly, White preachers misinterpreted scripture or used it to promote separation.
At the core we all tend to basically have the same desires for life. So, the day of generalizing any person or group of people is over.
Lastly, according to scripture. It actually is the human race, but different ethnic groups. I’m surprised the interviewer didn’t say that or these people in the interview.
