Overrated poxy films. The first is so boring. And then the trees start talking. Bollix!
Hate them . Did not age well
The lord of the rings trilogy #1
Fucking Braveheart!!!!
FREEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!
Troy actually is pretty underrated. I definitely think it deserves more recognition.
Heck yeah. Great to see 2001 in here! Of course The Lord of the Rings Trilogy had to be on here. Definitely my favourite film trilogy of all time.
I imagine the person that John wants to kick down the well would be Lights Camera Jackson.
I hate LCJ too but why does John?
Who wouldn't
Shocked brave heart isn't on this list...I would actually say it's better than gladiator...
My Top 10 Epic Movies According To Me Are

My man
Braveheart will always be the father of epic history war movies in the universe :)
Gladiator is the most overrated movie of ALL TIME!! SORRY
I was very disappointed when I saw it for the first time.
I agree
I disagree...
Where's Braveheart?
Very good question, Christian. What the heck, John??
Bravehearts awful, racist in its depiction of the english as evil maniacs and the scottish as peace loving people. Good job keeping that movie off the list John!
Christian you are Correct Sir!
Racist? Lol. Who cares. That's history for ya. You wanna talk bout authenticity, then make a list coz there are plenty with lack of authenticity. Braveheart should've made the list but maybe it wasn't his type of movies.
***** History isn't racist, Brave hearts racist, just English stereotypes fighting Scottish stereotypes. Also (apart form 300) all of the films on the list were historically accurate. Braveheart is just overated ( and the acting by whoever plays the English king is awful)
Maximus: Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And i will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
Caesar: O.O "shits himself"
best line ever

Great list! Lord of the Rings has to be number one though
Peter Clark gladiator is too good
The Dark Knight Rises is way more epic than the dark knight

How can you not put any Arnold Schwarzenegger movie on here? For real?
Iron Man ? 🤔
Spartacus and Ben Hur are just as epic as the overly long Lawrence of Arabia.
Broke back mountain takes the cake.
Gladiator more epic than the lord of the rings
No way
+Uzair Ahmed Gladiator > The Lord of the Rings.
Love the energy John puts into every video. Keep them coming!
My most epic movie would be Return Of The King with TDK dangling right behind it.
Troy vs Helen of Troy, Helen of Troy wins by a long shot, not only because it's a much better movie, but because Troy is meh!
Achilles covered in bondage gear kind of throws me off.
Epic Movie The Dark Knight 300 The Bourne Braveheart The Lord of the Rings Harry Potter Avatar Star Wars A New Hope Godfather The Good Bad Ugly Superman The Movie Taxi Drivers Rocky Rambo First Blood Part 1 Iron Man Trilogy Indiana Jones Fast And Furious 4 Die Hard
Love your videos John! But how could Ben-hur not be on this list? it was an epic masterpeice and is regarded as one of the best epic movies of all time!
Agreed.

3. Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back
2. The Dark Knight

LOTR
I'm happy you included 2001. A very good list.
Take out 300 and put in Black Hawk Down... You've got yourself a great list! :)
Take out Troy, insert Braveheart....problem solved.
Agreed next to Braveheart, Troy is a shampoo commercial.
Cybopath LOL comment of the day!
Brave heart is the better film.. But more epic? Nah braveheart isn't really an epic.. It's a love story with a revenge plot, mixed with the political war drama... Troy is pure epic..
Tyler Jacobson
Troy is a CGI shampoo commercial compared to Braveheart.
You guys said commercial sucks, watch the movie. Done
I thought you didn't like The Lord of the Rings, John.
No DREDD?!
Tyrannosaurus Rex Who's joking? Not me.
Tyrannosaurus Rex dredd was awesome, the 2012 version the only one ever
Dredd was awesome, but it wasn't exactly an epic movie in the sense of what FlickPick was going for.
WolfsGamingBlog Yeah, you are right about that, awesome movie. Btw, like the page "Make a DREDD Sequel" on facebook. Even Karl Urban is there as a fan. He want's to be dredd atleast two more times. Also sign the petition there it's over 100.000 if I'm not misstaken.
The 2012 was awesome not the old one
You earned a subscription as soon as you said you liked Hans Zimmer, I freaking adore every score he has ever done :) Aside from that I agree with your list.
I was hoping for gladiator for number one. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED.
War for planet of the apes is one fucking epic movie
Ok like the list but when I saw LOTR, loved, subscribed and favorite:) lol
That movie is just EPIC. Stumbled upon your channel looking for an explanation to the ending of ''X-men DOFP''.
Really like your energy, your 30 rock/parks n rec like humor, and how str8 to the point you are:)
What about BRAVEHEART?!?!?
whiteout0111
you need to see it.
Lord of the rings and Gladiator definitely deserve the 1 and 2 spots IMO.
Shouldve made 3 & 6 the star wars trilogy and the dark knight trilogy.otherwise a fun list to watch never get tired of it.
RETURN OF THE KING!!!!!!!!
Troy was so good
Ikr a whole fuckin experience
This some heavy bullshit lotr is #1
Kingdom of Heaven
I saw gladiator last night and was awesome. especial the part where Maximus battled the four tigers and the one guy. overall, just a great cinematic achievement.
You guys gotta see The Last Samurai .Its very epic featuring Tom Cruise as the main character
Really underrated movie
The whole original Star Wars trilogy is in my opinion one of the most epic movies of all time
Dark knight rises is the best
No Avengers?
There is no "top x epic movies" that doesn't have LOTR on the first place.
Not saying Gladiator wasn't epic or anything like that but it was no f##kin' way more epic than LOTR or STARWARS to deserve first place.
Buuut that's just one man's opinion and all in all it's a great top 10 :)
This isn't about Epic Role Playing games for LOTRO and STARWARS EMPIRES,
its about the Epic Movies.
To me, it goes:
1)300
2)Troy
3)The English Patient
4)Hacksaw Ridge
5)Galdiator
6)Godfather trilogy
7)the Devils Advocate (yes, Ik, shut up lol)
8)Amadeus
9)Braveheart
10)Great Expectations (1997) (again, Ik lol)
Plz don’t bash me lol
Why am I not number 1
Mr. Flick Pick- No BRAVEHEART???
Braveheart is the EPIC Movie that inspired the modern gererations EPIC MOVIES,
300, Gladiator, Troy, the Last Samarai All are simply stealing off of Bravehearts playbook.
I hope it is possible to add a 1 and 1A revision to your videos????????
You should have replaced Troy 4:55 with Braveheart, seriously, Braveheart is not only a fantastic movie, it has some of the most amazing battles ever filmed, no cheesy slow motions shots like in every frikkin' battle scene of Troy...
As the matter of fact, Braveheart is a movie where slow motion is used the right way, only when it's absolutely necessary and not to cover up weak battle scenes like most movies do.
10.) 300 (2006)

No The Dark Knight Rises? That's interesting... It fits your definition of epic more than The Dark Knight does. And didn't FlickPick say The Dark Knight Rises was his favorite in the trilogy. That makes the results of this list even more surprising...

How does all three LOTR movies make the list but only one of TDK and Star Wars trilogy?
because all of the LOTR Trilogy movies are amazing and flawless unlike Nolan's batman movies and the star wars movies
***** nice to find someone with common appreciation of TDKR but nevertheless TDKR was more epice
Star wars isn't really an epic movie, It's an great film sure maybe one of the best but it's not really that epic aside from some battles.
I mean, also, besides the fact that they are ALL of extremely high quality... if you really think about it, Lord of the Rings is one entire story. It's not really three movies. No on every puts on "The Two Towers" without having seen "The Fellowship of the Ring" first. That's the way it works. To me and many others they are one whole unit. (In fact, Tolkien originally wanted to release the lord of the rings as one entire book/story but the publishers fought against that).
"flawless" No. No movie is flawless, not even the beloved LOTR.
[Epic!: Usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style.]
Some of Epic! movies in my collection that may deserve runner up status.
Blade Runner, Terminatot II, Die Hard, Serenity, Hellboy, Ben Hur...just a few.
Would any of these make it in your top 20? The last Samurai, Braveheart, The Patriot (Too much Mel?) Road Warrior, The Postman, Dances with Wolves, Waterworld (Too much Kevin?) Windtalkers, Pearl Harbor (Too much love story?) These seem like some Epic Films.
Starship troopers for sure (never speak of the sequels), Kingdom of heaven, toy soldiers (not small soldiers), willow. There ya go, one from each field of Sci Fi, historical, action/war and fantasy.
Gonna have to throw in the raid 2, just epic fighting!
AAAANND 1986 crossroads.... as if having a guitar battle with the devil for your soul isn't epic.
I don’t think some of these can really be classified as epics. Just because a movie has a lot of action and special effects doesn’t make it an epic. Epic doesn’t mean what a lot of people think it does, in terms of movies; a film could have minimal action and still be classified as an epic.
But anyway, these are my favorites in no particular order:
. Ben-Hur
. Titanic
. Barry Lyndon
. Amadeus
. Gone with the Wind
. The Birth of a Nation (1915) (for its historical value and story-telling)
. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
. Dances with Wolves
1.Braveheart
2.return of the king (or the whole movie as John would put it)
3.Gladiator
4.Empire strikes back
5. The dark knight
6. Ben hur
7. Troy
8. The last samurai
9. Saving private
10. 300
I'd have to agree with you on Gladiator, that movie defines bad-ass. Some of the most classic movies are the most epic like The Good, Bad, and the Ugly, Lawrence of Arabia, and Jurassic Park. But, for new movies, Pacific Rim is one of the most epic movies I've seen in a while.
brave heart. 13th warrior. last samurai. kingdom of heaven.
Where is Terminator 2 , that movies effects beyond its time , if u replace Oddys and lawrence of Arabia with The Shawshank Redemption and Terminator 2 ur list will me perfect haha , i know its ur pick gj bro
And I highly recommend Steve McQueen movie ' Papillon '
I think you missed Braveheart. Also, 2001: A Space Odyssey is a horrible movie. Beside HAL 9000 and the effects (which I think are amazing) I think the movie's a boring piece of garbage.
The thing about Troy and 300 that pissed me off is the fact it actually happened in history and failed to teach anything. The only history these films portray are the basics. In troy they portray the horse which everyone knew about already. In 300 they portray the 300 soldiers and the hot gates which everyone knew about already. I respect your opinion.
People, he´s talking about epic movies (what epic means to him at least) not about the best film ever. Don´t understand how you can say his list is wrong because a movie at #5 is worse than the movie at #7 or whatever. It´s about the epic ingredients, not best film.
