@@MomoTrader809 you must be sleeping the last 5 years. Just like Glock. G2 was critically acclaimed, as is the new G3. Using a prior Beretta factory and patents from both Beretta and their temporary parent company, S&W.

@@jordanjoestar8839 no I haven’t. I own a Spectrum and a G2S which are great. My G2C is garbage. Fail to feeds constantly with expensive good ammo. Hollow points and round nose. If you are just a hobby shooter then enjoy! But if you carry a gun, then it has to work. Shouldn’t have to hit the slide back into battery during a gun fight.
My comment is directed at Taurus to improve their quality control. We disagree and that’s ok. I’m not trying to convince you of anything.

There’s nothing wrong with Glocks, “perfection” may be stretching it though! Not a fan of the ergonomics, and when you need to put in new sights, grips and triggers to make it awesome then that isn’t “perfect” to me. But the “it’s the Honda Civic of the gun world” is probably a accurate description of Glocks. 👍🏻 (except the G44)😆

This is the first Taurus product I've ever owned. I know people that have had other Taurus handguns in the past and I got to say... Taurus has come a long way from what I see and currently understand. I've only fired about 50 rounds through my G3C... But I got to say I'm very impressed. Taurus has done a wonderful job with this handgun all around. I personally don't really care for compact and subcompact handguns I mean normally I carry a full size 1911 everywhere I go. But... This has become my new EDC. Excellent job all around.

Dry firing helped me more than anything else. I started out low and left now I am can hold about a 2 inch group at 30 feet with all of my auto loaders. But making sure you can hit what you are aiming for is the most important thing for a new gun owner, no matter how you go about doing it. I have seen some guys that carry a gun around but couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat, if you get my meaning, lol. Keep doing what you are doing and I have no doubt you will be able to knock the eye out of a bird flying, if I could use a quote from one of my favorite movies.

The slide finish on the black models has also been upgraded from that cheap blueing to a nitride tennifer finish... The grip panels on the frame are also larger providing a more grippier surface... The stock sights are also made of metal instead of plastic besides being Glock compatible... My G2C has a 4.5lb trigger and most of them do... I've never heard anyone describe a 4 to 5 lb trigger as heavy..?? So better sights, better finish, better trigger and a 3rd mag for only $30 more than the G2C... Sounds like Taurus is listening..!!!

mike surratt Its a black matte Tenifer on the G3c slide. The Tenifer is a hard shell nitrocarburizing over the steel slide. It will not corrode or rust but the black matte oxide overcoat on the Tenifer shell may wear off. That matte black oxide overcoat is the same as on the G2c steel slide. The G3c slide with the Tenifer slide protection is way better than just a steel slide. I touch the wear on my G2c slide up once in a while with some gun blue but hey, its a $200 pistol.

This pistol has been reliable . I don’t compare fit and finish to beretta Sig hk glock etc because it cost 270 out the door . My sig is leap years ahead in quality and finish and in every category, including price 1000. At the end of the this pistol provide people with lesser means to have a reliable pistol . Or for me at the price I don’t stress about it if it gets scratched and it’s nice owning pistols in different price categories.

I have a G3C in stainless on order. I’m not quite as agile and mobile as I was 30 years ago. So this will be in a drawer in my bathroom where humidity could be an issue. As a Ruger stockholder, I would have bought a security 9 compact if they made it in stainless. Well, maybe they did, but I can’t find one. As I’ve now seen multiple reviews of the G3C that are favorable, I’m not worried like I would have been 30 years ago.

Problem with Taurus? Quality control and recall issues, which still an issue in 2024 with some of their GX4 pistols. Why I won't buy their pistols and by only a couple of their revolvers like the Taurus 627 Tracker and Taurus Model 44. Even then I inspected toughly before buying. For trigger pull, anything under 4 pounds is dangerous especially if you're a beginner. Been a firearm owner for 42 years and don't like a trigger pull on a defensive firearm that's less than 5 pounds. Justin have enjoyed all your videos and your opinions.

I just bought one this week. It was on sale at a local store. $250. Couldn’t pass it up based on the reviews. I’m not new to shooting but it is my first striker fire and my first 9mm. I’ve only put 100 rounds through it and it was flawless. I’ll need to do more testing before I completely trust it to replace my 1911 for carry, but it’s off to a good start. It’s not too small that it’s really snappy, like some of the smaller glocks I’ve fired, and everything is really comfortable for my reasonably smaller hands. I say get one of you can. Worst case you have a fun little range gun.

Honestly Justin i couldn't tell you, haven't dealt with many guns. But I can say with mine, trigger pull was gritty, and the trigger safety was becoming an issue when firing, and just didn't like the overall feel. But once I got the new trigger I was blown away. The feel of the trigger and the pull was amazing, used the stock spring and had a minor hiccup. I contacted keep tinkering and they sent me free spring, issue solved and made everything else just that much more better.

Don't understand the emphasis on trigger safety irritation on the trigger finger between the G2C and this handgun. This is a defensive oriented handgun as you describe. Is your perceived irritation enough of a deterrent to not train in proficiency with this weapon? As you clearly demonstrated this handgun as well as the G2C is more than accurate enough at even more than defensive distances. As far as the sights, there are aftermarket (Lakeline) sights available for the G2C and far earlier (Millenium G2 and PRO "gasp" series) that exactly duplicate the front dot and blacked out serrated rear on this model. Considering cost and the lineage from where the G3C is derived, one might well look into a G2c, PT 111G2 or Millenium PRO for probably or well under $200. Of course keeping in mind that while defending yours as well as that of a loved one's life..........your trigger finger might well be a little bit irritated.

I own two g2c's and a 3 week old g3c other than the glock compatible sites I see no real reason to upgrade...also the g3c will not fit g2c kydex holsters due to no front slide cuts on the g3c. The g3c is a hair more nose heavy due to that don't believe me just try to stand each gun by there grip the g3c will fall forward . does that help the recoil? I can't notice a difference. Maby.I do like the visual loaded indicator site hole becuse it's one less part if that matters. Overall both great guns but my well worn in g2c has around 5,200 rounds threw it and feels better trigger wise and in smoothness but that's to be expected from the well worn in parts all original parts expect a newly replaced flat wound recoil spring and stainless guidrod.the g3c finish is supposed to be better but cosmeticly looks rough in finish compared to the g2 like orange peel almost and the trigger dingas is wider but no big difference that I notice . Imo buy wichever fits your needs better and enjoy they are both great reliable do all guns

Great! Take good care of it and I hope it never needs service or repair from Taurus. In the event of something braking you rather keep it as a paper weight, Taurus will give you the runaround for months and who know if they ever fix it. I have seen this problem with other handguns - some have the top brand names on them. This is most often a specific flaw with an individual gun. I would hope that the owner is engaging with customer service. I don't usually do a video like that for a problem that might specific to only my copy of the product. Not judging, but take it with a grain of salt.

I just bought a G3C and I like it a lot. No problems with the gun overall, BUT removal of the tactile loaded chamber indicator was a mistake, IMHO. In poor lighting, trying to peek into that tiny little hole on the G3C just isn't going to cut it.
They could have at least done like my Glock 30, where the extractor itself acts as a loaded chamber indicator. When the G30 chamber is loaded, the extractor sticks out from the side of the slide enough to where you can actually see, and more importantly, FEEL it.
Taurus dropped the ball on that detail.

For your first gun I'd do a regular size one and not a compact/subcompact unless you're looking at conceal carrying. That way you get a feel for how a firearm handles and you'll also have more control/accuracy. I have a walther creed and it's a fantastic gun if you want a budget full size!
