He was direct and to the point.

Yes, the lawyer overdid it. She was taught in law school, like I was, that you should try to create doubt about the witness's memory and their ability to perceive details accurately. But it was totally inappropriate here, as his inability to recall any details 7 years later is totally normal and natural. It was a meaningless brief encounter. He didn't notice any bruises. Period. End of story. He would have remembered something like that, and he would have remembered it vividly
She dragged the questioning out for 25 minutes, and made all of us sympathize with him. This is a lawyer who simply lacks common sense and people skills. She was using standard lawyer tactics to discredit a witness, but in a totally inappropriate context, and in a totally inappropriate manner. Turned everyone off. She Might be on the spectrum

The most bizarre part of this is the line of questioning pertaining to the "type" of make-up Amber Heard was wearing. He already had said he didn't notice anything about her make-up, clothing, etc. Wasting the court's time, wasting the jurors' time, wasting Mr. Romero's time. I'm not saying they shouldn't have the case, just they should keep things short and concise. Johnny's lawyers kept the line of question short and to the point, they did repeat a bit for clarification, but it was more to the point. Just the facts.

    • @stevencoardvenice

Yup, you can tell that amber heard's lawyer thought she was really being a clever hot shot lawyer, conducting a withering cross examination of a hostile witness. She was obviously trying to discredit the witness's memory and perception. But She was failing completely, but kept trying to jam that square peg into a round hole for over 25 minutes!!! Made herself look like a complete a$$ to the jury. Of COURSE he doesn't remember irrelevant details about a brief encounter 7 years ago. He conceded that! I think its now undeniable that Depp was a victim of domestic violence from Heard -physical and mental but its very important that people understand how such abuse works. Victims do not have freedom of movement and will self care as much as possible to prevent triggering their abuser with a trip to an emergency department. Most likely they cant get there unless that person takes them there too.
