I just bought my daughter (surprising her tomorrow with the new stuff) the lash bed/massage table, her chair, neck pillow, and cushion for her butt for her chair. I have been supplying her with every thing she needs. 90 % of all her products she has now and uses, and is going to need in the future I have gotten it for her so she doesn't have to worry about anything until she starts getting more clients. She's only done my lashes 4 times with extensions and 2 times for curl and tint right in the beginning. I'm so proud of her but I feel like shes starting to give up a little She's doing really good so far. I feel bad it takes up to 12 hours sometimes I know that's what most likely why she's not as positive about it anymore but she keeps pushing. Thank You so much for sharing your personal experience with all of us. I literally want to start going to classes now. I would love to actually be able to enjoy my life and most importantly make people happy and give them that confidence boost they are looking/wanting. Again thank you so much for all your videos XOXO

Thank you so much. This is very true! I took 2 lash courses and got certified the two times. honesty my first one did not teach many basic things that a lash artist should know. I mean I did learn the idea, but I needed more to start lashing. I took the next one and they helped out with a little more but this is not compared to all the things a long course will teach you and also I got certified with barbasol and Ipac this is soo important. It helped me understand the importance of cleanliness and protecting my client and myself. Now I’m online with another course. Girl it is not cheap but I have learned so much and not done yet but I want to be prepared for anything and do the work professionally and not just to do it. Thank you for your videos.

I appreciate this video so much. I havent started training as yet but ive been watching your videos and i am so interested in starting. My reasong for wanting to be a lash tech is because i hate my current job and i want to be financially free. I also love lashes and i feel that is the best part that i will be doing something that i love

Hey hun thank you so much for sharing. I know how it feels like to struggle in the beginning . And for me making fans was the hardest thing but I never gave up and to this day I always practice. When you feel alike you're not enjoying it and it's more of a headache for you take a break not completely full on three day one week one month break. I mean like 5 minutes 10 minutes, just long enough for you to relax and remember that the struggle is part of the process. If you keep lashing that way feeling stressed out and overwhelmed you're not going to enjoy what you're doing. And I want you to remember to enjoy it because that's where your love for doing lashes will come from. And when you love something it'll show through your work. My question is what kind of tweezer are you using to make your fans? I recommend to get a brand new tweezer because maybe the tweezer isn't making your job easier it's only making it harder period so try getting a brand new tweezer with perfect grip and I feel like that will help you out so much better. I recommend the socolashes 45° tweezer I believe it's on sale for $20 right now . The best tweezer I've ever used for making fans. another question is what kind of lashes are you using? You may not realize it but these little things like bad lashes or bad tweezers is probably making your job more complicated than it should be. Some lashes are made cheaply that the quality of them are just not good enough and are really hard to fan. But if the lashes are good quality then I'm guessing it's the tweezer or you're probably trying to rush the the process that you yourself is not giving yourself time to learn from your mistakes. So it can be either or but my recommendation is to breathe when you're feeling stressed out and change out your tweezers. I’m new starting out and the girl teaching me is awesome but I’m feeling a little discouraged bc she wants me to be faster .. my first live model yesterday took me 4 hours for a full volume set. I know I will get better over time but I don’t want her to give up on me or for me to give up on myself just because I’m not doing a full set in 2hrs & 30min.

5 day course is good! I'm sure your not feeling discouraged I bet it's more overwhelming that anything. It's a lot of information to take in and I get it but the best way to learn is to actually start lashing and get in there. Put in the practice and the more you practice the more the information given at your course will make more sense. You got this hun 😘

I'm not a young person, i'm in my early 50's and I resigned from my City Job after 27 years I was so disgusted with what I was doing and all the animosity and hate at work that I just decided right before the Pandemic unfortunately, I just left it all behind. Now, I'm looking to Soar with the Lash Business and prove that anything is possible and for other women out there not to be afraid to leave anything in life to start something totally new!! It's never a wastw of time because anything that helps you have a better life is worth giving it a shot. Doesn't matter what age you are. You are really young hun give life your best and if there is anything you want to do then do it. Wasting time will be waiting for the perfect day to come so you can get started that's wasting time. So don't let that happen and just go for it. If you want to go back to school for esthetics do it. You won't regret it. I loved beauty school and learning about facials and waxing. I know your going to love it too.

I had a really bad experience from the instructor and location to where I got trained and they didn’t teach me anything but still got my certification for lashing. It’s been 2 years since that occasion and still struggle! 😩 This video is so helpful and I just want to say thank you! God bless!

Thank you for the disclaimer. I always cringe when I see someone lashing who is not certified. Education is so important for your clients eye safety. You share such amazing content and you’re so relatable
Oh thanks hun. It is very important because lashing is a lot more than just putting an extension on a Lash and I think that's one thing a lot of people don't understand and they think is something they can teach themselves. And it's definitely a lot harder than it looks 😅

Awww thank you hun. Means alot that my videos is helping someone out. I had planned to do alot of lash videos but do to the pandemic I had to shut my business and haven't been lashing. My roommate is allergic to lashes to I can't use her as a model. 😭 But no worries, once I'm able to start lashing it will be the first thing I do.

I have a question. My lash tech offers a class it is not that expensive only about $400 then $300 for volume (a separate class). I recently found out she is not an esthetician (I was telling her I was attending Etsy school soon and she mentioned it). She does have a certificate from where she took the class but no license. Should I still purchase her course? My sets always come out great. Decent retention and no irritation. Should I look for a salon to teach me? Does it matter since I’m going to get licensed and they don’t really teach lashes in depth in school?

Hey I’ve taken a course from a celebrity lash tech and it wasn’t as helpful as I thought. I’ve tried to contact her again for assistance but she doesn’t reply and a paid a lot of money so is there any tips on how to properly apply lashes on the inner corner on a practice head ? So you can just be certified without a license and you won’t get in trouble?
Make sure to do your research. If you live within the states, most to all, require you to have a license to lash. Certification means you just took a course to know exactly what you need to do correctly but it doesn't mean you can Lash especially if your state requires you to have one. I do have a video about The difference between Certification and license. I highly recommend to check it out to learn more.

How long are the courses usually? Because they offer a one day and I’m like thinking that’s not enough time right
Well everyone dteaxhes differently. Some do one day some day a couple days. If it's just one style class like just classic lashes then yeah that sounds fine as long as they trainer is a good and qualified and licensed. Also keep in mind cheaper isn't better, you'll probably end up walking out of there confused and not knowing what to do. I recommend a course that's anywhere from 2-5 days. Again depending on what you want to learn. If you want to learn it all so classic, volume, megavolume, that should be a good 3-5 day training. It's impossible to learn all that in one day. So do some research ask questions to see if they know exactly what they are doing and if you feel anything off don't train with them. Keep in mind not every trainer has your best interest in mind. Some just want quick money. Real, educated trainers don't charge anything under $1k so if it sounds too good to be true it's because it's exactly that. But do your research and hopefully you find a good one.

Awww thanks hun! So I recommend doing a loyalty card program and tell your regulars that if they bring someone they both ×$ off to get them wanting a discount so they'll bring in girls. Everyone likes discounts. Also go out and hand out your business cards. That usually brings in new girls.
Facebook and IG adds always helps as well.

Hey Hun. You have to go to cosmetology school or be an esthetician to get certified as a lash artist. So you won't be able to get certified at your age especially if your still in highschool.
Some high schools offer cosmetology classes as alternatives, in my state (idk if it’s still available here or other states) but you can look into it.

there is nothing wrong in doing free sets when you fist start. I did that when I started but after the first week started charging model prices.

With premade a can be a little tricky if you don't use enough glue they fall off fast if used too much glue it can be damaging. But I can do a video using premades if it'll help
what is better certified or licensed?
Depending where you live you do need a license to even be lashing. Most to all states require a license In either Comsotology or Esthetics. Certified means you took a course but being certified doesn't give you permission to do lashes. You'll have to do it on the down low but if you get caught you'll have to pay fine for doing lashes without a license. That's a risk aLOT of girls take so be careful if your going to lash without a license. Look into the rules and regulations of where you live at. So better to be licensed if it's a law that you need it.

You don't need an actual cosmo/esti license in texas. I have a friend who went to lash extensions school to be licensed as a professional lash tech. Look into it not sure the exact name but I know there is a beauty school just to get licensed just for lashes in texas.
I believe she paid around $3,500 which is way cheaper than going to cosmo or esthi. And the program is like 2 months I believe.
