It looks like a nice shift knob but I think that I would prefer a leather-wrapped knob, as I drive with leather driving gloves and the leather-to-leather cohesion allows for a light touch on the knob. The same applies to the leather-to-leather cohesion of the glove to the steering wheel. I would definitely go for a short shift conversion for this shifter, as I did for my Porsche 944s years ago. I'm probably going to get a 2019 370z sport coupé soon, and so these things are interesting to me.
Jim Nesta that is what I’m finding with my new setup. This is better for a daily driver setup. But my car has changed a lot since and I need to go your route soon haha

I have a 350z and when I threaded it in, it wasn’t centered how can I center?

I got one of these for my 350z . No matter how i adjusted the set screw , the knob bottomed out about 1/8 turn passed where it needs to be. So, it you back it off and line it up, its loose . I doubt if thread lock will fix it so its going back . Disappointing.

Anyone know if this will fit a Z31?
Is the fairlady laser etch optional? I’m looking for a shift knob for my g35 coupe. I like the nismo and the mishimoto shift knobs. This one looks very nice but i don’t have a fairlady. Would you recommend the M Spec over Nismo or Mishimoto?
George Nino it isn’t optional :(. To be honest, I like this one over both. The nismo doesn’t have much weight to it compared to this and feels a little more flimsy to me. This one feels solid.

This z1 mspec shift knob did not fit my 2016 370z..
I contacted z1 and see what solutions they offer but for now I am very unhappy with this shift knob.
The set screw at maximum length still does not contact the shifter, so be aware, I am thinking I will have to use lock tight..
I called today they said it does fit.
If you had this knob vs a brand new stock knob. Which do you prefer?

Ricky Olaes no worries! Either way you wouldn’t be disappointed. I would’ve kept running my stock shift knob if it wasn’t worn out. But since the car will be tracked soon, I wanted something that can handle abuse.
My stock knob is still in great condition and looks great.
Is this a short shifter? Caz i saw everyone else need to get under the car and cut pipe in order to install it

Tone Win awkwardly, it doesn’t get that hot during summer. And it gets stupid hot here in the south. The shift knob just gets hella warm. But nothing that makes me go “oh shit!”

Mayykool kind of. But not unbearably hot. It’s more warm af if anything haha
Johnny Maui I’m glad you replied man because I actually dm’ed you on IG about your csc delete. Were there any major symptoms when your Z died or did the csc just completely went out, out of no where?
Mayykool there weren’t any major symptoms long before it happened. The only bad sign was the night before my car completely crapped out, was the gears grinding even though my clutch was fully depressed when shifting into gears.
Mayykool and my bad man! IG literally doesn’t notify me of any DM messages unless it’s from followers. I️ think it auto filters it as spam or something. I’ll keep a mote careful eye out.
It’s funny how your shift knob came lose all by itself, compared to the shift knob on the 350z. You’ll end up destroying the oem shift knob on 350z, just to get it out.
