Very great video Henry, I'm looking at doing Construction Project Management at UTS. Hope you continue to make more videos!
Thanks mate!! Construction Management at UTS is really great as well. I went to the orientation for it and I was pleased with their format.
Hey Bilal saeed have you taken the admission in the course ....
Hey hi i loved your video.
I want to know a bit more about civil engineering in Western sydney university
Hi there, thanks for the support!!! I'm not doing civil engineering but if I can help with your question, I'll try to answer it :D
Bro, is it possible to do Part-time work & study Construction Management at the same time?
I could pay the first year's tuition fee but can I able to pay the next following year's fees by myself..?
Yes, you can work and study. If you’re international then it’s probably hard to pay the fee by yourself with just part time work, but at least you’ll be able to support yourself and help some of the fees.
I just rechecked, for the new students, they will be doing Bachelor of Construction Management course code 2607.8. There isn't much changes except for the first semester of the first year, it will swap out Construction Communication and Construction Work Safety for Professional Competencies and Design Science.
Here is the new updated handbook for Bachelor of Construction Management:
handbook.westernsydney.edu.au/hbook/course.aspx?course=2607.8
Giỏi quá! Very very good!
Hey mate, thanks for the video. What was your timetable like- 1-2 days or 2-4?
I set my time table for 2 days per week. But it depends on the days that the course offers since it's different from one to another. It's easier to set it like that so you would only have to go to uni for 2 days, while you're free to work or whatever the rest of the week.
@@henrytranvlog8233 awesome, thanks!
@@henrytranvlog8233 Also- how did you go with your Industry Based Learning (1200 hour requirement) -
Was the process of finding a job/cadetship as a student easy enough?
Does the Uni provide any assistance with this process?
What year did you start with your cadetship/internship?
Is your experience paid or unpaid?
@@rastiffi I believed I’ve explained some of it in the video. I completed the 1200hrs to be able to graduate by doing Labouring jobs. It was hard to find a cadetship for international students because companies would rather find locals instead. Uni only help you find which place is open, but you still need to apply and try to get it yourself. I start my cadetship in 2021 after the Covid period. It was paid
Bro i dont like maths and weak in maths. Should i take construction management as my major? And how is the job situation right now in Australia. Thank you for your informative video.
Construction management doesn’t involve that much math. Most of the time it’s easy math like 150 sqm plus 20 sqm. Job is the same as always but I think a lot of places are recruiting more people after Covid.
hey man, im a domestic student and got early entry for honours of construction management at wsu and one of my teachers were saying that you could get a cadetship which would push you from 1st year to 3rd year in your degree. is this true? btw love the vids
That’s actually the first time I’ve ever heard of it. That doesn’t sound true because nothing is a free boost. You can only take more units which boost your credits in one term and it’ll help you graduate faster. I think what they meant is the cadetship would accelerate your learning and you’ll feel like you’re learning 3rd year material even though you’re only in first year
@@henrytranvlog8233 ohhhh alright thanks man. Also just wondering what the base salary would be like after graduating? Like a rough figure
@@Artzy-_- you’ll be expecting $45k -$50k when you start out, but that figure will change eventually.
Thoughts on construction technology at WSU?
Hey!! I'm planning to do my master's (In construction management) in Australia 2022, will you please help me out of choosing which University is best for CM & is there any updates on borders🙏❤️ it will be much appreciated ❤️👍
As of right now, the border is still closed for new international students. Students who have already enrolled in a school and was unable to come back in 2020 will be able to be nominated to come back, but it seems like that isn't your case. You can find more info here: covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/students
One of my cousin is planning to come over next year as well, so i think it should be okay then, hopefully. As for which University is best for CM, if financial is an issue, I definitely recommend WSU. UTS and USyd (B of Project Managent) are very good with their course as well, but it's just me who is biased toward WSU since I've only seen abit of CM from UTS from orientation.
@@henrytranvlog8233 hehe no offense brother 😁😉 TQ u so much for the info ❤️❤️❤️ & here welcome me as a new subscriber ❤️👍
Hlo sir I have done my masters in transportation engineering in india and now I'm thinking about Ms in construction management, plz tell me what is the scope of construction management and what's the present scope and job opportunity.. plz tell me
Hi there, I’m not studying master of construction management so I’m not sure, but you can have a look at the course handbook for further info: hbook.westernsydney.edu.au/programs/bachelor-construction-management-honours/
Alternatively, you can contact student central from western Sydney about it.
Job wise, even with a master, what’s important with construction is experience. Unless you have experience working in construction in India, you probably won’t start out as a construction manager right away. Probably contract admin and then move on to project managing.
Hello can you tell me which software is used for construction management in Australia........
mostly Microsoft Excel, Doc and potentially Microsoft Access.
Do you write essays aswell when you study project management?
It’s not really an essay. It’s a project report.
Are there any problems to get PR of austraila because of the cpm course?
I don’t think CPM affects PR if you mean the CPM is bad for it. CPM will definitely help you boost up your resume and potentially get into a good company, which can help in getting your PR through company sponsorship
Bro I am planning to do Construction Project management in 2024 intakes recommemend best affordable UNI
Affordable is WSU. Cheaper than other unis
Same here bro
Planning for july intake and got offers from wsu uts and University of Adelaide
@@henrytranvlog8233 Are jobs in construction management are godd in recent times? I heard they are plenty of opportunities from my uncle who lives in Sydney can you confirm it pls
Can I become a Construction Manager even though Im doing VCAL
Probably not. Construction Manager would require a higher certificate than a VCAL.
@@henrytranvlog8233 whats the best job I can find with VCAL
@@JackDaniels-hf4se I'm not really sure. You will have to talk to your career advisor. I'm not specialized in this area. From what I understand VCAL is just another version of TAFE except it doesn't go as deep. What you did during your VCAL is that i would recommend to look for.
Aye brother I was wondering is it easy to get a Cadetship in construction management in aus
As international students? No, it’s actually quite hard because most companies require you to work full time and you can only work 20 hours per week. Although if you look hard enough and use the uni’s career services you might be able to land one faster
@@henrytranvlog8233 nah I’m a domestic student bro but aren’t international students now granted to work as many hours they like?
@@PabloEscobar-wy9ff they’re reviewing the visa this month so it might change by May. It was for a while and that’s what I was doing until now.
@@henrytranvlog8233 do u have any info on whether it’s easy for domestic students to get a Cadetship?
@@PabloEscobar-wy9ff arguably easier than internationals. But it’s still up to you if you’re willing to put in the effort to apply for places
Hey? Have u graduated from ur university? Did u get any job?
Hi, yes I did graduate from the uni. I am now working as a building cadet.
Bro I want to detail chat about master for CM at WSU can you please provide with your insta account ??
I’m not planning to do my master so I probably won’t be able to tell you much from my experience. You can contact WSU student central directly to ask them about the course.
Hey i was wondering about how difficult this course is because i am planning to choose this course but i am really worried about if i would be able to this course or not.
For me it’s pretty easy going. There’s lots of group works and you have to make groups with random people sometimes, if not, most of the time. You get to know who’s good and bad to work with haha. Either way, I think it’s pretty easy because I like it so I guess i would find it easier than some others. If you like the course then you would find it easy as well.
wait are an immigrant paying that much?
How do you gain the experience
Through internship, cadetship, or even labouring work. Anything that relates to construction will do.
Do I get them from the uni or somewhere else
@@lilgoatyep3731 from the uni and you can also look elsewhere. I explained that in this video, check it out: ua-cam.com/video/9fNx53IeC6s/v-deo.html
@@henrytranvlog8233 will the uni help you find a job after you finish or are you on your own
@@lilgoatyep3731 on your own, but by the time you graduate you would already be able to do your full time work, since the course requires 1200 hours construction experience, during the time you’re studying, you’ll be able to find a company to work for, and a lot of people will just stay at that company after they graduate.
