@@aleenamariajohn8348 in my opinion WSU is underrated in terms of education. Every other aspect might be behind, such as the facilities aren’t as top notch like UTS or UNSW, and student services might be abit slow, but education and tuition is definitely a plus. I don’t know much about WA so I can’t tell you, but that’s about WSU.

If you fail a unit, you can redo it again, but you can only redo the unit 3 times before you’re expelled. If you can, try to ask for extra materials to help you study. What I’m worried about is as International Students you’ll have the concern of your visa expiring at a certain time, and you would have to pay extra to redo the unit. So it’s better to try to pass it

they do share it at the start of the semester so you can read everything they will teach, or at least the majority of it.

Hi there! Im not sure what you mean by unit failure condition, but I’m assuming it’s about the maximum amount of time you can fail a unit before you get rejected from the course. That would be 3 times. The first time you fail they’ll outline the condition for you and what you can do from there.

Hi! thank you for your reply, I was talking about what you began explaining at 6:39 - you stated that the first time you fail a unit (and you showed it on the WSU website), it will be converted to withdrawal without academic penalty and will not be counted towards GPA, but I cannot find the page where it says this online at all. Also, on the 'GPA calculator' page for WSU it says to include your fail grades to your GPA score as well, so do you think the policy may have changed? Thank you for your help and your reply!

Have a look at this one: www.westernsydney.edu.au/currentstudents/current_students/enrolment/adding,_dropping_and_changing_units/withdrawing_without_academic_penalty It shows you what it is about and how it works. The policies for withdrawing without academic policy was a bit different during Covid because during that the uni understands that the students may not be studying properly by studying online instead of face to face. It has been different since then indeed. You can only be successful with your application if you have circumstances related to the ones they listed in that website, only then will it not be counted towards your GPA because it is “without academic penalty”, meaning it doesn’t count towards GPA.

@@Saivenkat-pc8hi after graduation you’ll be working as a cadet and then move up to the role you want. Cadet is like the starting position and you’ll be learning everything pretty much before you decide that you like whatever role and stick with it. Honestly, trying to get the cadetship role is hard because there are so many competitions and companies would only pick 1 out of like 10-20 people. So it’s a very competitive business but it has a good future. Overall, opportunity isn’t very high but if you do get it it’s very good.

@@Saivenkat-pc8hi nothing is easy. You will have to go through the process of interview etc. against other people too.

That’s actually the first time I’ve ever heard of it. That doesn’t sound true because nothing is a free boost. You can only take more units which boost your credits in one term and it’ll help you graduate faster. I think what they meant is the cadetship would accelerate your learning and you’ll feel like you’re learning 3rd year material even though you’re only in first year

@@Artzy-_- you’ll be expecting $45k -$50k when you start out, but that figure will change eventually.

Construction management doesn’t involve that much math. Most of the time it’s easy math like 150 sqm plus 20 sqm. Job is the same as always but I think a lot of places are recruiting more people after Covid.

I don’t think CPM affects PR if you mean the CPM is bad for it. CPM will definitely help you boost up your resume and potentially get into a good company, which can help in getting your PR through company sponsorship

For construction students, I do recommend smaller companies and not the big main ones. I think those ones are the ones that you will most likely get into. Bigger companies are too competitive and they won’t look at international students as much as the local students.

I don’t know much about MSC in Agriculture. I do know the Hawksbury campus is where the Agricultural students are based, so if you do attend that area, then you’ll meet plenty of students of your interests.

I set my time table for 2 days per week. But it depends on the days that the course offers since it's different from one to another. It's easier to set it like that so you would only have to go to uni for 2 days, while you're free to work or whatever the rest of the week.

Does the Uni provide any assistance with this process? What year did you start with your cadetship/internship? Is your experience paid or unpaid?

@@rastiffi I believed I’ve explained some of it in the video. I completed the 1200hrs to be able to graduate by doing Labouring jobs. It was hard to find a cadetship for international students because companies would rather find locals instead. Uni only help you find which place is open, but you still need to apply and try to get it yourself. I start my cadetship in 2021 after the Covid period. It was paid

Hi there, I’m not studying master of construction management so I’m not sure, but you can have a look at the course handbook for further info: hbook.westernsydney.edu.au/programs/bachelor-construction-management-honours/ Alternatively, you can contact student central from western Sydney about it. Job wise, even with a master, what’s important with construction is experience. Unless you have experience working in construction in India, you probably won’t start out as a construction manager right away. Probably contract admin and then move on to project managing.

I’m not planning to do my master so I probably won’t be able to tell you much from my experience. You can contact WSU student central directly to ask them about the course.

It does show the syllabus once you have enrolled into the unit. Website is generally okay but other than that could use abit of work for cleaner layout. I think all university websites are bad in layouts anyway

@@subzero4787 when you enrol they generally will give you 2 weeks before school start for you to access vuws and you will see what you will be studying. On top of that, there are learning guides which is basically the same as syllabus that you can view online if you search up the unit from the uni website

They consider academic from high school and if they need more people to join the course. Most of the time that’s what they look at. Otherwise there are special cases that you can apply for a scholarship

Yeah I agree. The parramatta north campus drive way is full of potholes that haven’t been fixed since even before Covid in 2020. They should allocate the money to make the current campuses better instead of making new ones

I'm not indo, but for western sydney, maximum GPA is 7.0. 5.5 GPA is pretty good and it would be the requirement for scholarship. Yes, you can work and study. If you’re international then it’s probably hard to pay the fee by yourself with just part time work, but at least you’ll be able to support yourself and help some of the fees.

Realistically for international students, it’s much harder to be hired than local students. Most companies want to make sure that they hire people who will stay for a long time, and with internationals there’s an uncertainty that they can leave anytime.

@@b4f495 well if you are a domestic student then it would be significantly easier than internationals. Although in saying that, you would have to also compete with other domestic students who might or might not be overqualified for the job.

If I remember correctly the accommodation price is around $250-$300 for living at WSU, which is abit cheaper than the rental prices in other houses or apartments in Parramatta. There is no exact per month living cost in Sydney because it all depends on how much you spend and save, but you can expect to spend about $400-$450 a week. Living here isn’t cheap and finding part time jobs would all depend on what you are looking for. If you’re looking for a profession related job like what you are studying then it is very hard, but if it’s generic like working at a cafe or labouring then it is easier.
