Marcus Aurelius - How To Improve Your Life (Stoicism)
Marcus Aurelius is one of the greatest philosophers of ancient times. He ruled over Rome from 161 to 180 AD. famously being known as “the last of the five good emperors”. During his time, he constructed a series of autobiographical writings known as the Meditations, which he wrote for his own guidance and self-improvement. “Meditations” is considered also one of the greatest works of philosophy ever written and it is one of the fundamental books of the philosophy of Stoicism. The main core of stoic philosophy is the necessity of making deliberate choices and being in control of our emotions in order to live well and lead a virtuous life. By practising stoicism and following the teachings of Marcus Aurelius, one can better face the difficulties of daily life, no matter how trivial or complex they may be. Our character is based on our behaviour and our behaviour is based on our daily habits, which is why in this video we bring you 7 ways you can improve your life following the daily habits of Marcus Aurelius.
7 ways you can improve your life following the daily habits of Marcus Aurelius are -
    01. Be grateful for waking up
    02. Make time for journaling
    03. Prepare for the worst
    04. Focus on the task at hand
    05. Master your mind
    06. Review your day
    07. Meditate on your death
I hope you enjoyed watching these 7 ways you can improve your life following the daily habits of Marcus Aurelius and find them helpful in your life.
Even though Marcus Aurelius wrote it 2,000 years ago - his insights on Stoicism still carry strong weight today. Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. Even though it is over 2000 years old, more and more people are discovering how Stoicism is not only relevant to modern times, but can be applied in very simple, yet strong ways.

I spent two decades of my life living like an irresponsible, broke and pathetic loser. I realized over a year ago that change can only happen with discipline, enormous sacrifice/trade offs and some luck. Even then, change is slow, gradual and painful. I've learned to set aside all expectations of outcome and simply do. That journey led me to these videos on Stoic philosophy (as a way of coping with the rapid changes occuring in my life on a daily basis). I'm reading Meditations right now and will admit many chapters have moved me to tears (it's silly I know). When I picture Aurelius, with the weight of the world and an empire on his shoulders writing with such humility, discipline and honesty it really puts things in perspective for me. I'm midway through chapter 6 and it's easily one of the best self help books I've read.

To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

Do all the Stoics teach--in short, live an exemplary life. And still die, most probably of painful cancer or heart disease (1 in 3 odds) ... or a horrible accident (1 in 10 odds). And probably die when you are most happy. No ... the Stoics didn't call it; the Absurdists did. Therefore, if you can imagine Sisyphus happy, you are on your way. Best to drop religion, unrealistic philosophy, superstitious spirituality and face facts with as much courage and dignity as you can muster.
