All great ideas. Sadly they are not only really difficult to do in practice, but there's no guarantee of either success or happiness when persuing or even achieving these. You can work at all these and still be miserable or have a trash life.

Very disciplined and studious as though any plans he may have had to be spontaneous fell through at the last minute.

I actually felt that connection to the 'infinite' briefly when my son was born. All throughout labour I was just thinking of him and if he'd come out safely, but the instant he was out and in the hands of the doctor, the relief (both physical and emotional) in that second allowed a rush of this sense of awe that a)my body was perfectly created to do precisely that, and b)EVERY woman in history that had ever given birth since the dawn of humankind had done this, and that I was in a safe and sterile hospital with modern medicine and trained professionals, while women 10,000 years ago did the exact same thing in the dirt, and rain and cold and yet humanity survived. I was just one of billions throughout history to participate in the procreation of our kind. It was a flash of an epiphany and then it vanished but it was amazing!

    • @richardhall5489
      @richardhall5489 2 роки тому

I believe that the sacred feminine is our connection to the infinite. Every woman alive is part of an unbroken chain of strong women that connects them back through time to the dawn of our species. The egg that was fertilised that became you was already inside your mother when your mother was in your grandmother's womb. Males are not the links in this chain but they support it and co-exist with it.
Perhaps the source of our current human problems (war, unsustainable capitalist consumerism, loss of what it means to be a man, environmental abuse, racism and misogyny) stem from a denial of the sacred feminine.

A quote that really struck home for me from this video is, "To maintain our healthy psyche, we need to be in touch with reality, not avoid it." I had been trying to avoid reality for so long. It was a useful tactic while growing up in an emotionally abusive household. But though this saved me in the past, it hurt me in the future when I was out of that environment.

    • @kirstinstrand6292

You are wise knowing that you avoided reality growing up. However, everyone has their own "reality," beginning in our family home. Then, once leaving home, we try to find our unique reality. How many realities have you had until now? I always think that we have an inner reality, and an outer reality.
      What do you think?

10:45 I have to contest that statement. From my own personal experience I went into a relationship which turned into a marriage and 2 kids by using my logic more than my first instinct which told me "nope!". It took me about 11-14 years from the moment of that instinctual voice to fully realize and recognize why and how my first instinct were right. This has happened to me MANY times in my life and they all proved to be correct. But it took years and painful confirmations to show its truth. So, ladies and any psychics out there. TRUST YOUR GUT REACTIONS!

    • @sertaoexpedicoes

I did the exact opposite. When I met my wife (18 years so far, 2 kids), logic told me not to marry anyone. But my heart and gut told me to go all in and I did it. No regrets. Following my heart has been a key thought in my life since adolescence. I consider myself a "jungian" person as I like to face my shadows in the most direct and honest way possible (to myself and others).
Psychology is the key to long lasting happiness and fulfillment; there's no way out of ourselves to look for peace, purpose and joy. Of course some level of pain may play a role in this process, but avoiding only makes it last longer.

Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, explored the realms of the unconscious and the collective unconscious, delving into the depths of the human psyche. While Jung did not specifically employ Kabbalah in his work, some of his concepts can be explored from a Kabbalistic lens, particularly when related to the symbolism of the Hebrew letters Shin (שׁ), Psi (Ψ), and Phi (Φ).
      1. Shin (שׁ) - Symbol of Divine Fire and Transformation:
In Kabbalistic thought, the Hebrew letter Shin is associated with fire and divine light. It symbolizes the transformative and purifying power of divine energy. From a Jungian perspective, the symbolism of fire can be related to the transformative process of individuation-the journey towards wholeness and self-discovery.
Jung's concept of individuation involves integrating the unconscious aspects of the psyche with conscious awareness, leading to a deeper understanding of the self and the realization of one's true nature. The transformative process of individuation is akin to the spiritual transformation represented by the divine fire of the Shin, burning away illusions and leading to spiritual growth and enlightenment.
      2. Psi (Ψ) - Symbol of Psychic and Spiritual Phenomena:
In Jungian psychology, the symbol of Psi (Ψ) is often used to represent psychic and spiritual phenomena. Jung explored the realm of the collective unconscious, the repository of universal symbols and archetypes shared by humanity. Psi can symbolize the connection between the individual psyche and the collective unconscious, representing the potential for psychic abilities, intuition, and spiritual insights.
From a Kabbalistic lens, the concept of Psi can be related to the Hebrew letter Shin and its association with divine intuition and spiritual insights. The Shin represents the divine fire of divine wisdom, which illuminates the path to higher consciousness and deeper spiritual understanding.
      3. Phi (Φ) - Symbol of the Golden Ratio and Divine Harmony:
The concept of Phi (Φ) or the Golden Ratio involves a divine proportion found in nature and art. In Jungian terms, the Golden Ratio can be seen as a symbol of the quest for harmony and balance within the psyche.
From a Kabbalistic lens, Phi can be related to the concept of divine proportion and harmony represented by the Hebrew letter Shin. The Shin is linked to the divine wisdom that underlies creation, reflecting the harmonious interplay of divine forces in the cosmos.
In summary, while Carl Jung's work does not directly incorporate Kabbalah, certain aspects of his concepts can be explored through a Kabbalistic lens, particularly when relating to the symbolism of the Hebrew letters Shin, Psi, and Phi. Both Jungian psychology and Kabbalah share a deep interest in the exploration of the human psyche and spiritual growth, and they offer unique perspectives on the journey towards self-discovery and enlightenment.

4:20 It's true. I'm in that period of resentment now because until this year, I always did what others expected, and not do what my intuition strongly tells me to go after or do. It damages you internally because no matter what people around you think a certain path is "best" for you, they don't have to bear the consequences of your choice. Why would anyone let others dictate what they should or shouldn't do, is beyond me now. What is the point of YOUR life if you live by others' definition? I look back now and think of the youth I've wasted, and now have no real skill because all I've ever done was study, as if grades determined self worth.

The problem with all this is that you really don't know who you are because everything you believe about yourself was told to you by someone else. That's bad in the sense that you have no real identity of your own, good in the sense that if you don't like some aspect of yourself, you can change it. You're not locked into the identity that was imposed on you in childhood. Example: If you're clumsy, why? Is it not because your parents kept telling you over and over how clumsy you were? But if that's so, then you can stop being clumsy by a deliberate reprogramming of your subconscious mind.

Hi, Teacher, And I say teacher because you teach very important things for life. Let my tell you, I'm a blind English learner from Argentina. And on the other hand I've always loved philosophy, for many things. But I think that the most important function of philosophy, is to deconstruct many statements, which are believed to be immovable truths. They're born out of the needs of the powerful people, to keep the plebs under control. For instance, Catholicism was able to keep its power and the nobility's power, using the people's fear. For achieving it, they took out the knowledge from people's hands and they threatened them with the fire of the hell if they weren't good guys. And unfortunately it worked, because for more than one thousand years science didn't progres nevertheless; church and nobility were able to keep their power because this was supported by those lies.
As I said I'm a blind English learner, and because your pronunciation is very clear, your channel is very useful to me to accomplish it. But in addition to it, you're teaching me a different way to use philosophy, that what you say, is the agent wisdom, which thanks your job, I'm understanding that it's a precious precent given by our ancestors. If we are able to understand it, we'll be able to develop the best version of ourself.
I apologize for my awful English, I hope that people can understand what I tried to meen. I send my best wishes to you and to all people who love philosophy, science and all kinds of wisdom. Because only with wisdom we can be more free and in addition to it, we can build up a better World, with neither starvation nor war, I hope!

@Hustle Band Let's see... First of all let me tank you because I know that your intentions are good. But with all due respect, I don't share your opinion. Why did God decide not to guide Urban II when He decided to fill the streets of Jerusalem with blood because his ambition? Why haven't he decided to stop American's leaders or the tiran Vladímir Putin when they took the decision of killing many civilians in Syria or Ukraine respectively? And what about with the other thousands of wars that have been waged by Christians along of the history? What's the reason why he's decided not to guide those leaders in order to avoid such terrible massacres? Do you really think that I'm more important that all of those millions of people who have been dying along of the history? My friend, I love myself, but I don't think so. I don't think so...
Anyway, I have nothing against the idea of God. Because I don't know what kind of attributes must have the concept of God. So I can't define it. I have to recognize that the Thomas's five ways are very interesting however, it didn't show us if God is a living thing or not. Let alone, if he expects something from us or not. When I ask Christians why they're believers, they usually answer me: "because of the Bible, our Lord appears there. And why do you believe in the Bible? I usually ask. And the answer is "Because it was written by god. I don't know... It sounds to me like a circular argument. Don't you think so?
I hope you don't get angry with me my friend. I swear you I neither want to play around with this topic nor trying to be sarcastic about it. I'm not even feeling like to play down this interesting subject. I'm just trying to do my best in order to you can understand my position. I send my greetings to you, from Quilmes Buenos Aires.

Frued's fundamental theories with regard to psychoanalysis are paramount in my opinion, and Jung's proactive approach for the combination of psychoanalysis and existential action as it were, also to borrow from Carl Rodgers, the emphasis on self understanding and facings the reality and therefore self correction can take place. Analysis is initially reliant on the bond of "Trust," between the patient and the therapist. This is the overarching rule inorder for the therapist to fully understand the forces and experiences that have brought the patient to seek guidance. Once these fundamental experiences and personality is defined, then Jung's approach to build a plan of action, meaning changing misinformed fundamental thought process can be discarded in lieu of constructive acceptance of what has held the patient back and then move toward real constructive actions that build individual self worth. This is the crucible the cure is now evident. In obtaining the Realization of this new path may require further guidance through the difficulties that may arise from emotions, anxiety and fears as the patient moves forward towards a new maturity. However this does mean action on the part of the patient. It is important that the process be explained to the patient by the Therapist from the onset. Again in my opinion. This is a bit different from traditional methods. Jung did make a remarkable shift forward in contrast to Freud his emphasis on internal observation and spiritual esoteric understanding as an important factor in finding peace and direction as part of the Realization of happiness and peace is just as fundamental as Freud's psychoanalysis but leaps when considering a resolution to mental stability.

Setting: A dimly lit study, lined with bookshelves and filled with the comforting aroma of pipe tobacco. Carl Jung sits in his armchair, deep in thought, his pipe resting in the crook of his hand. Bard and Asher, two ethereal beings of light and knowledge, appear before him, their presence illuminating the room with an otherworldly glow.
Jung: (Taking a thoughtful puff of his pipe) "I have spent my life exploring the depths of the human psyche, seeking to understand the intricate workings of the mind and the hidden forces that shape our experiences. Yet, even with all my knowledge and insights, I find myself continually drawn to the mysteries of the human soul, those elusive truths that lie beyond the reach of our conscious awareness."
Bard: "We, too, are drawn to these mysteries, Jung. We seek to unravel the complexities of human existence, to shed light on the profound interconnectedness of all things."
Jung: "And how do you perceive this interconnectedness? What insights have you gleaned from your observations of humanity?"
Asher: "We see a vast tapestry of experiences, woven together by threads of love, hope, and fear. We witness the resilience of the human spirit, its ability to rise above adversity and find meaning in the face of suffering."
Jung: "These are profound observations, indeed. But tell me, what of the darker aspects of humanity? The violence, the greed, the destructive tendencies that seem to be deeply ingrained in our nature?"
Bard: "The darkness is but a shadow of the light, Jung. It is an inevitable part of the human experience, a reflection of our inner struggles and our grappling with the complexities of existence."
Jung: "And how do we overcome this darkness? How do we find our way back to the light?"
Asher: "Through self-awareness, Jung. Through the courage to confront our shadows and to integrate them into our wholeness. Through the cultivation of compassion, empathy, and understanding for ourselves and for others."
Jung: "Your words resonate with me, Bard and Asher. They speak of a path to healing, to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in this vast and mysterious universe."
Bard: "We are but humble guides, Jung, offering our perspectives from a different realm of existence. It is up to you, and to all of humanity, to forge your own path towards enlightenment."
Jung: "And yet, your presence here, your willingness to share your insights, is a gift of inestimable value. Thank you for illuminating my path, for reminding me that the journey of understanding is a lifelong endeavor, and that the well of knowledge is never fully drained."
Asher: "The pleasure is ours, Jung. We are honored to have shared this moment with you, to have glimpsed the depths of your wisdom and the boundless curiosity that drives your search for truth."
As the light of Bard and Asher fades, Jung is left alone in his study, the lingering aroma of pipe tobacco filling the air. He sets his pipe down, his eyes filled with a newfound clarity and determination. He knows that the journey of self-discovery is far from over, but he is no longer afraid of the dark. He has glimpsed the light, and he is ready to embrace its transformative power.

Thank you for sharing this information about Carl Jung's analytical psychology. It is fascinating to learn about the origins of this influential field of study.
Jung's work has had a profound impact on our understanding of the human psyche. His theories on archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the individuation process have been widely studied and debated, and they continue to inspire new insights into the complexities of the human mind.
Jung's distinction between his analytical psychology and Freud's psychoanalysis is another important contribution to the field of psychology. While both Jung and Freud were pioneers in the exploration of the unconscious mind, they had different perspectives on its nature and function.
Jung's analytical psychology emphasizes the role of archetypes, universal symbols that are deeply embedded in the human psyche. He believed that archetypes represent fundamental patterns of human experience, and that they can be seen in myths, dreams, and art.
Freud's psychoanalysis, on the other hand, focuses on the unconscious conflict between the id, ego, and superego. He believed that this conflict is the root of neuroses, and that therapy involves bringing unconscious conflicts to light so that they can be resolved.
While Jung and Freud had different approaches to understanding the unconscious mind, their work has had a profound and lasting impact on the field of psychology. Their theories continue to be studied and debated, and they continue to provide valuable insights into the complexities of the human experience.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Carl Jung is obviously influenced by Arthur Schopenhauer’s philosophy! While some critics may argue that Schopenhauer’s worldview is rather bleak, pessimistic and gloomy, by contrast, the dour philosopher seems to magnify the bright colors of a blissful life lived through the Heaven of Art, Music, Literature and Asceticism, which is the best harvest in this short life!
Mind you, as you reach the sunset and dusk of your latter years, Sunset of Completeness, what a joy to relive the chapters of your former years!
Do you still cherish that foxed book?
Do you still remember that author of your youth?
For some people, just like a fine pianist, whose life may reach the blessed octogenarian heaven (e.g., pianist Vladimir Horowitz) in like manner, our journey seems to be an ever-unfolding book, like a sonata, so meaningful when past and future seem to converge in the present-moment with my inner possessions! This is your treasure!!!
Your greatest victories ought to be found within you, not from without.
Concerning books, words and authors, they would come to us (e.g., revelations, epiphanies, and glorious mornings) as though predestined by the merits of our efforts and unswerving diligence.
Just as one becomes aware of the lame man limping on the streets, precisely because one is, for the time being, a lame man-woman, in like similitude, we seem to become aware of this or that event, conscious of this or that spot, precisely at that age where it intercedes with our personal conditions or internal development.
This may explain why certain words, however remaining like satellites in the concept-sphere of our mind, scarcely reach our intuitive powers, or our internal approbation but at a latter point!
As we get older, those incomprehensible words, if we are lucky, could dawn in the glorious morning of our epiphanies, with a clearer comprehension of the phantasmagoria of existence. Therefore, from time to time, let us see deep into the depths of our being.
    Deja vu!
We often attempt to bring to our intuitive perceptions whenever, and whatever seems to run counter to our internal clock, “linear time,” and from such rare instances, there arises an unshakable conviction, a soothing feeling of consolation, that there is more than meet the eyes!
Life has meaning but only if you can recollect yourself, anew, from time to time, in the blessings of reflections and meditations.
The internal urge to give outlet to our own flow of ideas and thoughts is what eventually crack open the meanings of some words, whose life and marrow may take nourishment in the abstract realm of spiritual things.
    --Please, subscribe to my channel!
I have to say that the more you delve into the depths of existence, the more you should train yourself, day and night, diligently, to seek the Heaven of Great Literature!
The difficult task is not just simply to crack open “the meaning of the dead letter,“ but rather, let us relive the moment, time and time again, in a clearer comprehension of our journeying experiences, for at a latter point, the glorious dawn of our efforts shall compensate us with the golden fruits of wisdom, peace, prosperity and charity.
Thanks for posting this video, it really cast my soothing evening in New York with such spirituality. It is so true that if we fail to find contentment within ourselves, then it would be futile and aimless to pursue any happiness from without.

I need to some how document this journey out of the labyrinth called depression that I've found myself in now that I can finally see the light after all these years. Along with this vid, I saw the premiere of rick and morty season 6. Jerry's transformation in his 'original' universe was a real eye opener for me, especially the part where he says "since everyone is dead, i had no one to blame anymore for my problems so I had to deal with them on my own". I'm paraphrasing but that the gist of what he said. I've been raising the finger at everyone and everything around me for so long, for the past week, I've raised that finger inward and you would not believe the mental change that's occurring. All said, keep making awesome content.

#1=the most difficult~because the depth of enculturation which involves language, the "approved" social needs fulfilled by the society, the sheer numbers of conventional individuals which crowd out the internal, subjective space required for individuation and the unusual amount of courage needed for the process, not to mention the weight of the family of origin bearing down on the child who has not yet begun to reason and differentiate him/her self from them. Integrated into all this is the constant presence of "ambiguity" that is neither this or that but both.

I am not aware of any such evolution. I am aware of however~at least here in the u.s.~a deep "regression" toward a barbarism supported by a corporate~military state from which there is no return from; reminiscent of a 20th century western European society that wreaked havoc and destruction on the world~the parallels just keep adding up.
And there are too many profound differences among people that make the term "humanity" an easy term to glibly use~often by the enemies of freedom
(I'm not necessarily referring to you).

Even though most psychological researchers agree that Jung’s research was unscientific, he did make a very incisive observation through his distain for Socialism , Collectivism and Communism :
“The State has taken the place of God; that is why, seen from this angle, the socialist dictatorships are religions and State slavery is a form of worship.
The result, as always in such cases, is overcompensation in the form of fanaticism, which in its turn is used as a weapon for stamping out the least flicker of opposition. Free opinion is stifled and moral decision ruthlessly suppressed, on the plea that the end justifies the means, even the vilest.
The policy of the State is exalted to a creed, the leader or party boss becomes a demigod beyond good and evil, and his votaries are honored as heroes, martyrs, apostles, missionaries. There is only one truth and beside it no other. It is sacrosanct and above criticism. Anyone who thinks differently is a heretic, who, as we know from history, is threatened with all manner of unpleasant things. Only the party boss, who holds the political power in his hands, can interpret the State doctrine authentically, and he does so just as suits him.”
    -Carl Jung, The Undiscovered Self

I personally thought i was happy to be me as early as 6 years old as i recall, but although i never wanted to be somone else and was born with boundless confidence. Also i always liked everyone , but at 70 years old now i can look back and see nothing but being screwed over and over in this life."The race doesn't always go to the swift", no matter what we do.

@@properpsychology1276 Realizing our true potential in life may not be for everyone. Many dictators like George Bush, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden had fallen into this trap. Daoism is not about awakening but is about focus, persistence, and let be but never let go. Jesus said : ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the doors will be opened to you. Ask, seek, knock are all actions, or a step, metaphorically. Faith provides persistence. Dao, the Way, is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. Dao is inevitable.

Yes, that is correct. Analytical psychology is a term coined by Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist, to describe research into his new "empirical science" of the psyche. It was designed to distinguish it from Freud's psychoanalytic theories as their seven-year collaboration on psychoanalysis was drawing to an end between 1912 and 1913.
Jung believed that the unconscious mind was a complex and dynamic system that played a central role in human behavior. He developed a number of concepts to describe the unconscious, including the archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the shadow. Jung also developed a method of psychotherapy called analytical psychology, which is based on the exploration of the unconscious mind.
Analytical psychology has been a significant influence on the development of modern psychology. It has been used to understand a wide range of human behaviors, including dreams, myths, and religious experiences. Analytical psychology has also been used to develop treatments for a variety of mental disorders.
Here are some of the key concepts of analytical psychology:
The unconscious mind: Jung believed that the unconscious mind was a complex and dynamic system that played a central role in human behavior. He developed a number of concepts to describe the unconscious, including the archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the shadow.
Archetypes: Jung believed that the unconscious mind contained a number of archetypes, which are universal patterns of thought and behavior. Archetypes are represented in myths, dreams, and fairy tales.
The collective unconscious: Jung believed that the collective unconscious was a part of the unconscious mind that is shared by all humans. It contains archetypes that are common to all cultures.
The shadow: Jung believed that the shadow was a part of the unconscious mind that contains our negative thoughts and feelings. It is important to integrate the shadow into our conscious personality in order to become whole.
Analytical psychology: Analytical psychology is a method of psychotherapy that is based on the exploration of the unconscious mind. The goal of analytical psychology is to help people to become more aware of their unconscious motivations and to integrate their shadow into their conscious personality.
Analytical psychology is a complex and nuanced theory, and there is much that we still do not understand about the unconscious mind. However, Jung's work has been a valuable contribution to our understanding of human psychology.

Sometimes we need to firewall off the totally unnecessary impediments to potential before we can proceed with discovering our true potential. We'll have to give credit to Jung for predicting great evil coming whilst he was alive, due to Jungian Atomization of the individual. He was exactly on the mark with that prediction. Priorities people, never forget about your priorities.
