Much as I hate to rain on your hard work parade, I feel an obligation to let the viewers know that your information is ass backwards. To lower the point of aim, lower the stock; to raise the point of aim, raise the stock. Shoot your tightest choke tube at 16 yards at a 3” aiming circle drawn in the center of a sheet of typing paper. The tight pattern will readily indicate whether your point of impact and point of aim are in sync. I had the same issue with my lefty Franchi Affility 3. It shot low with the LB shim, and didn’t print a decent 60/40 pattern until after the LZ shim was installed. I invite you to shoot your RA or RZ shim to see if I’m right. Respectfully, Bill
Nice recap. You are very informative. I would like a 26 inch barrel 12 gauge Affinity Elite 3.5 inch. I might have to have a barrel shortened by the Franchi Custom Shop after I buy the 28 inch model that is standard.
Great videos. Torn between a Franchi and a Retay. Wish this had the second shim like the SBE's. I am shooting a SBE2 and love it. Just looking for a little less costly backup. Not that the SBE2 needs a backup but I've seen some pretty bad screw ups in the field that left a hunter without a gun a long way from home. One instance was a guys gun got run over by a truck at the boat landing. NOT ME.
I was patterning mine today 20 gauge, but it was shooting high with the RB. I tried RD and it went even higher, so I have to use RZ to lower it and still about 80/20

I would go with the Franchi
I have both and I will say my retay mm 20ga feels and shot better then my franchi affinity 3 20ga. Both are great gun you can't go wrong.
Can you double up on the shims?

Mine is shooting high as well
Just swapped in an RD. Long neck bros check in.
Now all you need is a cheek pad to raise the pattern just above the point of aim.
Thanks for sharing
