Hey Every Day Limits Great video! I bought the Affinity Elite 3.5 , I love the gun, however it "jams" terribly! I shot three box's of Remington 2 3/4, 1 1/8 oz shot through it to "break it in" it jammed twice. Duck season opened last weekend and it jammed 6 times in 36 shots! I was shooting Migra 3' 1 1/4 oz shells. Four times the drop lever raised the second shell but did not chamber it, twice the second shell was not raised at all and the third shell in the magazine came out partially and both were pinned together below the drop lever. I carry a punch with me to assemble my blind and had to use this to push the third shell back into the magazine and pull the second one out. I called Franchi today and spoke with two different representatives and they both told me that the gun is jamming because I did not clean it before using it, which I did not. The gun arrived oiled but not " greasy" like some do. They told me that I have to strip the entire gun down, including disassembling the bolt completely use solvent to remove all grease and oil, oil again and assemble it and it "should" not jam. I know several guys who bought the same gun and started hunting with it right out of the box and never have had a problem! Franchi told me that I could send it back and they would"work on it" and it would be 2-3 weeks. Except for jamming , it is a great gun! I hate to think that I have to go back to my old 870. Can you give me any advice on this issue? I want to get back out this weekend with it !
Sorry thats happening to you. You may have a fluke as I used mine straight out of the box. I would do as Franchi suggest and disassemble completely and wipe it all down. Take it to the range and make sure it works before taking it out again. If it is repeatedly happening after that you will need to send it in.
Appreciate the videos man just picked this gun up as well. See you are a Michigan hunter as well maybe I’ll see you out on the bay! Me and my buddy are thinking about venturing out to big water for some hunts and getting out of our little swamps 🤣
Your welcome! I know what you mean. I had to look up the constrictions of the chimes online for trulok to see what they meant by mid range and long range as well.
Do you have any hints about assembling the affinity barrel/forearm and receiver/magazine for the first time? I am pretty experienced, but have a new left handed affinity that is proving very difficult. I also realize that it will probably break in after some use.
hey i loved the video great quality and clear instructions but my charging handle won’t come out as hard as i pull it and it spins is there anyway it can come out?
Greetings from Germany, first of all thanks for your videos of the Franchi affinity, those were great and because of them I bought my own one this week for crow and dove hunting. But I still have a question about the decocking of the gun. Is there a way to decock it without letting the firing pin hit nothing at all before storing it in the gun cabinet?
hello. i am looking at buying this gun in a left handed model. i hunter deer as long as ducks. any idea if i can switch barrels from a riffled barrel to a bird barrel. i know i will have to buy the barrel separate but does this gun have that feature of changing barrels?
Just got the gun and was assembling and the bolt got put in without the black metal guide. I cannot get the bolt out now to put the guide and bolts in together. Any advice on how to get that bolt out?
I disassembled and reassembled my bolt just as you did. Now I can hear and fill the main spring move when the bolt is not compressed. Any ideas on why this is happening?
@@EveryDayLimits not missing any parts. Put it together as described. When the bolt isn't compressed (full extended) the main spring can slide around. When the bolt is compressed (up against the main spring) it can't slide. My assumption is the main spring has enormous tension because I can't fully depress the bold exposing the firing pin manually.
A very good tuition video, one of the best I have seen! Keep up the good work:)
Took the new Affinity hunting this weekend, worked great! No jamming!
Keep up the great videos!
Thats great to hear! Thank you!
Thanks for the reply. Watched your video for the disassembly, very helpful! Will let you know how it goes. Keep the videos coming, their great!
Thank you!
Thanks for this informative video.
It’s truly appreciated.
Stay well.

The pin that falls out with the line was actually pointing towards the barrel when I first broke everything down from the factory.
Excellent. I was having trouble removing the bolt. This made everything clear. Keep it up!
Glad it helped!

For sure! I tend to stick to the swamp areas as well around the bay. The Franchi will not disappoint you. Its a great gun!
Every Day Limits yea I’m ready for September 1st to get those teal in the cattails! 🦆🦆
@@jackemeott1309 Ooo yeah! It cant come soon enough! Maybe I should get out and do some scouting :)
Best video on UA-cam I’ve found about the franchi. Thank you. That owners manual is hard for me to follow

It has to come out. Did you try pliers or vice grips? Wrap a piece of rubber around it first so you don’t scratch it.

How to remove the frag release button

They do not make rifled barrels for these. You can get a rifled choke tube that would help.

Jim Veenstra bro, same, how did you fix it

Do you have all the same parts that I have and you are not missing any?
I have the same issue. Is this by design?

ever figure this out? By design?
Where abouts in Michigan are you?
Mid Michigan

I do a lot of pond hoping for mallards in the Jackson area that’s about as mid Michigan as I get
@@jacobhutcherson6666 Ya thats a little further south. I was out scouting teal today and found some good spots. We will see what Tuesday brings.
