Seeing rhe rib means you will shoot high. Your point of impact is determined by your sight picture. Adjusting the drop helps you to get the sight picture you want.
Much as I hate to rain on your hard work parade, I feel an obligation to let the viewers know that your information is ass backwards. To lower the point of aim, lower the stock; to raise the point of aim, raise the stock. Shoot your tightest choke tube at 16 yards at a 3” aiming circle drawn in the center of a sheet of typing paper. The tight pattern will readily indicate whether your point of impact and point of aim are in sync. I had the same issue with my lefty Franchi Affility 3. It shot low with the LB shim, and didn’t print a decent 60/40 pattern until after the LZ shim was installed. I invite you to shoot your RA or RZ shim to see if I’m right. Respectfully, Bill
This is absolutely correct this video explanation is backwards on how to raise your point of impact. Correct on how to change a shim out. But backwards on what shim to use and how they will change point of impact vs point of aim.
Where the shim is installed, do you have a tiny gap at the thinnest point of the shim? (Gap between the stock to the receiver). I just swapped shims on mine and there’s a tiny gap at the thinnest point - not sure if I didn’t crank down the nut for the stock tight enough, or if something isn’t sitting right
If you shoot low you need to see more rail! Not the other way round as told here. Also the mounting of your gun seems to need teaching: It should not be necessary to move your head. Of course, sitting is diefferent - but then don't judge over the fitting until you test it in the right position for shooting ;-)
You should put a $ sign in description if you are monetized. Cause I don’t skip the ads then so you get the $ for it, instead of skipping the ads. But if you’re not monetized I can skip some of these ridiculous commercials.

Thanks, big help. My son’s junior stock is too small and time to swap out for full size!
thank you buddy, you made it look so easy. keep up the good work.
Excellent video! My new A3 Black 28" should be at my FFL tomorrow. Can I ask where you got you shim cheat sheet?
Thanks,
Frank
Hey Jordan, I shoot an affinity 3 sporting and my gun shoots low and left I would say. Which shim should I use In order to raise the stock?

@@smokeyourbuttsbbqmafiainc.8567so he should’ve used a thinner shim?

I do not have any gap
What kind of screws are in the stock?
How'd the patterning go? I thought if you could see rib that means the gun is pointing high.
This is the pattern video. ua-cam.com/video/WwVRgrjXBs4/v-deo.html
Mine was 15mm socket
Great Videos

I think the sitting position is probably making a difference in how that looks.
Trigger feels a bit too far away, can I remove the shim?
I’m wondering the same thing, same problem
What distance do you pattern your shotgun at?
30-35yds
Anyone know if I can shorten the LOP on the Affinity 3?
Contact franchi I believe there is a different size recoil pad you can get from them to adjust LOP.

Thanks! Make sure you subscribe to see all the new videos I will be doing with it
How did it pattern?
I did an update to the pattern testing as well here: ua-cam.com/video/WwVRgrjXBs4/v-deo.html
Your sling is upside down.
The L and R are to move your patter left and right, not if you are right and left handed
your sling is upside down
Some people carry their gun with the barrel pointing down.
I myself have thought about doing it too.
