I never really liked the shape of the '71-'73 Charger,I used to think it was bloated and clumsy looking compared to the '68-'70 but it's really grown on me and this car can be made to look mean and intimidating.✌👍

Definitely a '70's street freak! I wish the rear tires didn't stick out so far. Still a very nice build. I like the wrapped headers. It's so cool how you can put added detail into these large scale kits.

Hey Doug I hope you had a great and happy Thanksgiving! I have this kit built and built it to closely resemble my real 1974 charger still have to scratch make the S.E. Opera windows since my real one is a S.E version in jade metallic green. The front fender flares on the model are inaccurate for a stock charger or even the NASCAR version.... Love the video! Since I have five more of these charger kits some as NASCAR's they are a great kit man I wish they would put this model on the list to update the mold to be more accurate that would be awesome!

I had one of these as a kid and have been looking for it for years. Forgot it was MPC, thought Revell or Monogram. Now to get one and build it again. Found a few around but not cheap bu any means

I bought one yesterday for 5 bucks. Going off from what you said, I must have the original one from 1970s since it has the smooth slicks. Still in box and everything, but box is pretty beat up. Gonna see if I can build it. Thanks for the video!

Looks good! I've got the same model, only mine is the red one with the words "Street Charger" on the rear fenders and the word "HEMI" down the hood.

Um, OSHA requires carried containers used for fuel to be red, not the tanks in cars themselves. Nice build, though.
413, Thanks for the info. I think this chassis has a holdover fuel cell from the two NASCAR kits it was based on. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas Well, Nascar is not NHRA and who knows, as you said, what the heck some track or division required. I have found some pics of red tanks in current Nascars, but nothing about them being "required". An odd kit.
Nobody noticed the firing order was 18436572 in instructions that's Chevy V8 like a 350 firing order not Chrysler Mopar firing order lol

@@RightOnReplicas I was not trying to be rude just thought it was funny that the kit is trying to be a full Mopar drag car with a Mopar motor and used a Chevy gm small block firing order lol just thought that was funny but nice build man imma have to find this kit I have a few builds in this scale now and even a 1/5 scale big red rod I been working on for last year now on and off. It's huge and don't know where I'm gonna display it at yet and can't find a display case box for it either lol

dose the tires moves wwhen you move the car
CJ, You can glue the axle pins in the frame receivers and the wheels are free to rotate or you can glue the assembly together to keep them in place! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
