Your '79 Firebird came out beautifully Doug! From the engine to interior to that red body! She sure is a looker! Excellent work and detail! I have this one in my stash to be built one day ☺️
That came out fantastic! These large scale cars offer more in kit details than it's smaller scale cars, so building them becomes a bit easier as you're not fabricating. Although, most modelers prefer to do their own fabrications. Great video!
Harley, It's a great subject kit, have fun and if you find our channel helpful, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us continue our mission to inspire more modelers! -Doug!
mannnn , kool kit , great build/review......of a great car , thanx Doug , havva good one RJ....ps workin on the amt Mustang & Chevy Nomad 1/16th's....both coming together nicely
That looks great! I used to love the large scale when I was young. The 1/12, 1/16 were my favorites. I always found them easier due to larger pieces making them easier to handle than the 1/25 scale kits
Doug, classic MPC T/A in 1/16 scale. Doesn't get any better. I have mine sealed, plan on doing this box art in gold. I also have the rerelease 1982 T/A.
Awesome build having built the Camaro berlinteta in 1/16 scale and making a big mess of it back in the 70s when I was a kid this kit always scared me lol 😆 but I bought one in the 90s sold that one so when they reissued it again I was glad to buy another at hobby lobby with 40% off... Now to build it and not to make a mess of my trans am lol.
Very nice build. Do you happen to have any tips on how to get the windshield to fit right? I've read others say that they had to modify it but no one said how. Ours doesn't fit right in the slightest. Any help would be appreciated!
Kelli - We didn’t have an issue with ours fitting in, although it might look better if the top of the windshield protrudes a little more from the frame. To do that, scrape/file the ridge at the topmost portion of the window (above the part that you can see after installation) to thin it out a bit. That lets the window mount a little more out of the frame there. You could also thin out the mating upper frame area inside the interior where the window meets it! I have this kit. The It doesn't tell you that colors for the parts even though it shows on the outside of the instructions. There are no Letters to indicate what colors to use for the particular part. I've looked everywhere. They were left out.

@@RightOnReplicas No problem Doug and your welcome. It's a good thing I have extensive experience with with car's in general to give me an idea of what the most common colors are for the components used in GM Vehicles. Especially Pontiac.
