  • I hiked and camped the Arran Coastal Way in May.
115km or so, depending on the route you take.
This was my first Long Distance hike with wild camping.
It didn’t turn out exactly as expected and was quite the adventure!!
I chose it because it is circular and I felt like it had plenty of back up plans if I needed them….which I did…
It definitely turned out to be much much harder than I expected!
It took me six days of walking and involved a couple of 30km days across all types of terrain.
I wild camped in my Lanshan 2, stayed at campsites and made things up as I went along.
It was both the hardest and best thing I have ever done.
Arran is absolutely beautiful, I completely fell in love with it and expect to spend many more days and weeks there in the future!

I’ve been asked about the tick spray I used on my gear 👇🏻

Thanks for opening my eyes to that Annie. Its now on the bucket list. Quality content. I love the fact you dont just keep churning out drivel every two days. "Here is a video of me eating a roll n sausage."😴😴 Looking forward to part 2. Keep it up Annie, great work.

Really enjoyed your video. You made the right decision to skip Goatfell with the heavy backpack. I felt your pain. A group of us did it in a heatwave in June 2018 in 4 days. We used baggage transfer & stayed in Lochranza YH for our 1st stay. We walked up Goatfell & all the way to Lochranza, got there at 10.15pm! That section felt never ending. The bracken in June was a nightmare & completely covered a lot of the paths. Looking forward to watching the rest. 👍

      Thank you so much!
That is a crazy first day… OMG I can’t even imagine covering all that terrain in a day 🫡
I went back and did Goat Fell after, in horrific heat and after 2 days of food poisoning, I might well have been better doing it on my first day 🤣

Caves do have a certain something about them…I think it’s in our DNA to be attracted to them!

@@annieoutdoors I found one similar in Northumberland, first thing I thought was to contact my brother and arrange a night out.
When we slept in it we talked about who lived in it back in the day, magical
