    Kept thinking her contour was lowlight dye hehe. Speaking of which, what hit me about how well this worked and how skilled you are was: you can tell it's an amazing lightening job when the heavy makeup a darker-haired person comes in with STILL LOOKS GOOD once they're blonde :) When the lightening job is sloppy or choppy or chunky, darker makeup will look off/not quite right/clashing - but she looked great! Seriously, this is the best head of highlights I think I've ever seen.

    saturation is key for sure (i cannot tell you how many "professional" colorists miss the mark here! and how many of their re-dos I have personally done!) I was trained (many many moons ago) not to fold foil when using lightener as it will help saturation/even distribution...also, I promise you I can get as close as ANYone without a board!!! :) Great video chic!

    • @smerca
      @smerca 5 років тому

      Ashley Elizabeth I really want to know this too! I love the look of babylights, but it takes me HOURS to use so many foils. I start with low volume and end up having to pull foils to avoid over-processing. I’ve only been doing hair a few years though, so don’t know what the real time should be on a service like this. Stylists I see who go faster use fewer foils by far and skip more hair in between🤔...

This girl is a meticulous master of her craft.

Thank you for sharing your techniques and tips with us. Thank you to your model for allowing herself to be videoed so we all can see. Ignore the negative comments. I'm sure the model wasn't focusing on her makeup techniques. Like she mentioned, she also work there and probably just in a hurry to get her hair done. I think she's beautiful regardless. Some people just enjoy being judgemental, picking on others, complaining about irrevelavent things. Because they're miserable and just want to make themselves feel better. Keep on doing your thing and continue to inspire the ones who truly appreciate your work. God bless you! ❤️❤️❤️👍

    If i had a dollar for every time i walked out of a salon with orange roots or an ugly toner on my head bcuz of the bleach not staying on long enough... So right about being scared of bleach and leaving on the head longer-it HAS to go thru all the stages to processes. Im a natural dark blonde and my hair takes longer to processes then most people think. Fabulous blonde! Its so nice to see someone take such care about their work. ginger herman not all hair needs to be toned. Switching to toner may very well leave you disappointed, as untoned highlites are brighter with a natural golden undertone. Unless your color is yellow or orange, avoid toners.

      I wonder how much you’re paying and how much time you’re willing to spend in the salon. A lot of the gals getting hair done in these video are prof vloggers and therefore it is their “job” to spend hours in the salon getting their hair/ make up/ nails done to perfection. These
      ~extras~ take time and product for a professional to do, and therefore cost more.

    • @kathybrintlinger9993
      @kathybrintlinger9993 5 років тому +3

      angelica10123 I’ve spent over 6 hours in the salon but usually 3 hours or a little more. I’ll sit for as long as it takes. I rarely get my nails done professionally and address skincare issues elsewhere. Normally it costs anywhere from 125 to 240 with a couple products. I go every 4-5 weeks. I had a great hairdresser that moved away. I was in and out in 3 hours every time and always happy. Same salon . I did wonder how much the real high end salons charge in big cities. I’d be willing to save up and travel to get it done right. Then hope someone can copy what I have.

    Wow you are the queen of highlighting! I wish I could find a UK hair stylist who was this educated and passionate about good results for their clients.

    I had my doubts at first, but the end results are AMAZING! (and there's nothing wrong with the model's makeup. it's just the way she likes it) I'm going to try to give myself some highlights on blonde hair (it's a little TOO golden for me)

    The hair around the face is very thin. You are risking breakage by doing it first.

    Try overlapping on dark asian hair like this and the hair will break everywhere. This technique will only work if they have natural light becase. For asian hair almost everytime we need to use 40vol and will result in breakage guaranteed.

    I have such a hard time getting anyone to give me ashy blonde highlights! I do not look good in Gold highlights. Gold colors make my face look red! Some of us just have to do Ash! I tell them I want my highlights to be silvery-white and beige, but no gold. I can't tell you how many times I've walked out with gold hair and $150 poorer. Is there another way I can word it? I thought I was working it pretty explicitly. LOL

      I know what you mean! I have gone to two different places and asked for ashe blonde balayage. And they won't do it!

      I know it's a late reply but hope this will still be helpful. Ask for cool blonde rather than ash blonde, might see better results

    That came out so beautiful, & so natural-looking. I just discovered your amazing videos today, & I am addicted! Do you ever work with ethnic hair, or do processes like keratin treatments, straighteners, or wave perms?

    • @justjessiiii

      ToND1Ne thank you so much! I don’t do much ethnic hair. I do Brazilian blowouts and perms, but I would love to learn more.

      I'm grateful to learn more about this, I know and understand all about ethnic hair. I have learn a lot from watching these types of videos. Ethinic hair doesn't do this level of bleaching, this is intresting

      Jessi Gish ...I just happened on your video..well done ! camera work, music choice , your meticulous work & explanations. Just beautiful work! I've learned a lot! Can you show your technique with a keratin/smoothing treatment that works on blonded hair. My client loves her blonde but her natural texture has frizziness in the humidity. She hates it but her narrow face really looks better with fullness. It's to her shoulders now, growing a few more inches to wear up.

    That's a ton of work. You seem to know what you like which allows you to service your clients better. However, I definitely couldn't do this job, the mouth on the girl you were working on never.stopped.moving. Gah!
    Her hair looks pretty but not as pretty as the hair in the thumbnail picture of this video. This ash/gray with white highlights trend that all these young women want is Meh. Give me a cream/sugar/pale pale honey anytime.
