Did this it turned out just as good as your turned out so pleased with my hair, 3% vol did the job and didn’t even break my hair, low and slow is the key, Thankyou ❤
Oh wow did 3% work, what colour hair do you have? I have mousy/dirty blonde hair I wonder if that would work. I really want to try and do it myself. I'm confident that I can do the foiling process I'm just nervous about the bleach itself. I'm conscious about overlapping the bleach or leaving it too long and worried that my hair might snap off 😂 so perhaps a lower % will be better
The result is really good I have 2 questions please: Do you have white hair at the root? If so, how do you cover them at the root? Thank you in advance for your answer.
I would also have liked to see what exactly you did when you had to pull some of the foils prior to the rest of them being ready. I struggle with that since I foil so slowly. I usually pull the ones that are done and take a paper towel and get most of the bleach off, but it’s not enough. Did you wash them or what? Also, I can’t believe you got that lift with a level 10?? I tried a 20 and was still yellow after an hour but I’m a level 5 that uses Clairol Professional in a 7A for gray root coverage and to brighten my base. I use BlondeMe bleach and developer and have to hope it’s authentic, ha! Thanks, I’m self taught via youtube so any tips are appreciated.
Same as me but I used 30 vol. In fact I thought my bleach and developer was maybe old as it was nearly two years old??/ so I bought new and it still just doesn't seem to be lifting?????? What ended up happening with yours? I also thought the same - 10 vol???
Hi Steph, love your videos. I followed one of your previous diy balayage tutorials and I’m having a bit of a mare with toning the roots of the highlights, i used shades eq 6n but they are brassy/yellow and shine through the toner in a yellow orangey way. My natural hair is a level 5 - do you think I should used 5n ti cover the tops of the highlights? The lengths were toned with 9p and 9nb and look great. Thanks so much 💗
Hey Alexandra, thank you for your message. You are exactly right, you always have to match the root shade to your natural colour. As my hair is a natural shade 6 I chose 6NA/6NB if your hair is a shade 5 you would need to drop the root shade to a 5N to make it blend. It also might be worth adding in some more ash tones to kill the orange/brass tone you are describing. This could be adding 5N and 5NA as it is blue based and that is what counteracts the orange/Brass tones. I hope this helps xx
@@StephBarronLadylux you absolute star, thank you so much for your help and advice ☺️ I will definitely try that! Love your vids and can’t wait to see more! 💗
Can you make a video the next time you bring up your blonde and how you deal with bleaching over the part that you previously colored with the root smudge and how you bleach the Virgin grown out hair. I’m wondering if you have to bleach them with different developers because the Virgin hairs probably need a stronger developer. And I am wondering how you do your process step by step.
Hey Joanna, I’ll definitely add more in about over lapping in my next video. I just wanted to confirm the dark hair I am colour/ freshening up At my roots is virgin hair. Virgin non coloured hair is the easiest hair to lift and with the correct application depending on how dark your hair is 3% or 6% should be adequate for lifting xx
Hi, thank you for the video, hair looks absolutely beautiful. I am going to give it a go since I am tired of been full blonde and would like to mix it up and add some dimension. I can’t find 6NA anywhere, which one would you recommend as substitutions? Thank you.
Hi Steph, Love this video. I can't buy the developer you have in this video. Is there another one you'd recommend? I don't have a salon liscensce. Thank you!
I think it's the osmo one, they do 2 purple shampoos. I bought the super silver one along with the mask. I was a bit hesitant that it would make my hair too ashy, it doesn't. Great shampoo, I like the mask but it's not moisturising enough for my hair so I use my regular conditioner after. I do recommend both products. Amazon tend to have the best deals. Hope this helps x
You are a godsend! I wish you could do my hair! Can you please tell me the toner dupes that I can buy without a license? This is the biggest problem I’m having. Finding the same toner but for regular moms! Thank you!
How on earth did you get more lift from 10 vol than the 30vol you used last year 😮I’m new to colouring my own hair and I’m so confused about what developer to get
I know you commented I while I ago, I think it depends on your natural colour her virgin hair was like natural dark blonde, depends on your hair like I need 20 as I have asian hair som people need 30 max. But yes usually 10 percent is fine and you can even add olaplex in too so it’s not too harsh.
@@kirankaur3979 thank you! Still colouring my own hair a year later, I’ve stuck with 20 vol as I wasn’t sure, my natural hair is the same colour as hers so I might try the 10, should I just leave it on for longer?
My hair i just not "coming up bright" I don't understand it. I thought it was because maybe bleach and developer was old, I got new but still the same. I used 30 vol so now the next day I can see it just still isn't light enough - I came across your video but am surprisd you are only using 10 vol???
I cant find a good salon who can color my hair the way i want. I’ve always wanted blonde hair but they always make me light brown and brassy i have curly hair so they automatically think its damaged when its really not and everytime they are done bleaching they tell me my hair is actually pretty healthy i know my hair is healthy i take care of it that is the main reason why i want to bleach my hair myself
Good morning vos cheveux sont très abîmés faite une couleur simple pour un moment pour leur donner un peu de pepse et les couper sans les filochés et après quelques mois refaire des mèches ils se sont trop affinés sans vie
I wouldnt normally recommend this but this gets like views and money sooo watch this but you know don't do it lmao always kills me when somebody creates a how to but then says but dont go to salon i dont recommend! 😁
The fact you did it without help from an extra set of hands is awesome. You look great!

Just WOW!!! It looks beautiful!!!Seeing the entire process is AMAZING and is SO appreciated.
Thank you for your lovely comments
This is so helpful , I will try it one day when I pluck up the courage.Thank you!

How can you lighten your hair with 10vol. Is that possible on a root like that cuz mine is also so dark and I have been doing it always with 20 vol .
If you take a very thin section and saturate the bleach on the hair it penetrates through your hair lifting with a lower vol developer xx
How long do you let it on with 6%. 20 vol?😘

The Blondme from Schwarzkopf developer and lightener are really good :)
HI Steph! Lovely results as always🤩 Would you please share what type of sliver shampoo did you use? Thanks a bunch!💗
it's listed in the description box

Comment avez vu eu une dose de olaplex ? Ou avez vous acheter?

Why do you double process the ends…
Your hair seems pretty fine, I can’t imagine it’s got enough cuticle to protect it after the process
Why not use a mirror for the back? It’s much easier and keeps sections clean.
I probably could but I’ve done it so many times this way and it’s always worked out. Setting up an extra mirror is too much for lazy me 😂

Beautiful
how much olaplex did you add?
What she is putting on her roots? Is it toner?
Yes. Redken shades eq
So you are a professional hairstylist ?
How do you do this without your arms falling off? My arms start to hurt after like a minute lmao

Looks great however this isn't baliyage, it's highlights because you used foils and weaved. Either way it looks great
En español please

This is very advance technique for DIY non professional people.
